Very disappointed. $2 entry fee is a scam. Most everything is labeled 50% off but the prices are still way too high for it to be anything but a marketing tactic. A lot of items are not priced and when we asked about one, the salesman looked it up on eBay and gave an astronomical price (more than what a brand new, never used version costed, I know this because I had been researching this item) while telling a story about how he bought $3million worth of stuff from a former actress and that item was one of hers. Personally I couldn't care less if an actress owned it at one point, especially if she's unnamed. Found some cool items in the clothing section but the rest of the store was more like a thrift store than antique store. No booths just isles of cluttered junk. All was OK until the owner lead my wife and I to a glass case with various sad carved penises and a figurine of a girl on a swing. On the figurine was a little handwritten sign that read: "Swinger's Discount". The owner explained that some couples opt for this discount and have sex with him in the back of the store. This was disturbing on many levels: *Was he so tired of verbally propositioning people that he decided he needed a sign? It's existence means this was not a one off occurrence. * The item we were considering was about $80. So, what, we'd get 20% off? Not only did he mistake us for hookers but cheap hookers at that. * Was the front door still open? Had we drank anything in there? Were we about to wake up in his basement? read more

Don't believe the 50% off signs everywhere. They mean nothing. This store is filled to the brim with high price junk. It's poorly curated, cramped, messy and downright dangerous to walk through. Now I am willing to put up with all of that if the store is trying to sell. But this one isn't. The owner seems to think that his collection of flea market finds are some of the finest in antiques. Let this be known: they are not. The majority of the "old" pieces are modern, south Asian knock offs. Like the stuff from Pier 1, except more expensive. While there are some old finds, they are few and far between the piles of plastic junk. Strangely, they charge admission to see the other half of the store. The owner told us "because too many people come look, but don't buy." Then, he looked at my wife and said "kinda like what you did back there with the dress." It was all very passive aggressive. Apparently she was obligated to buy it after trying it on. I'm pretty used to crabby antique shop owners , so I pressed on to buy something. I explained to him what type of camera I was looking for, and he found me a box with a few pieces. Most looked to be kept in a garage for years. Not a good thing for a Maui camera. They all had fungus in the lens elements. Some even had surface mold. He said he didn't know what they were worth so make an offer. I made a fair one, considering they all needed extensive restoration. The guy loses it and tries to claim that I'm a dealer robbing him. I'm not. He states that he "needs to call someone for five minutes, and that I have to leave." I ignore it and continue to browse by a display case. Then he comes to the door to tell me to leave, but I can come back later. Uh. How about never. If you are ever looking for great antiques, then come to the mainland. I just discovered this store the other day for the first time after living on island for 8 years! I think this is my new favorite store. Everything in the store is totally unique. Alright so don't let the bad reviews scare you away. I have to admit that I was nervous at first but I really liked the place overall and although he didn't wanna sell us some of the items and SOME items were slightly overpriced, overall it was super cool and almost my whole family found something interesting. I went into this store with my mother and was expecting a reasonable priced store such as "goodwill" or "Salvation Army" but I was wrong! Saw a table in there claiming to be a "celebrity's" for OVER 60k.. not to mention the owner was very up in our personal space. He let us into the back, and there was this "red room". I use to buy and sell to David once in a while and I didn't have any quarry with him until he disrespected my parents some how he over heard something they said amongst themselves about a piece and took it to the extreme and kicked them out of his store in an unkindly manner. My parents are good people and enjoy a treasure hunt every now then and yes they can afford your prices btw. they don't deserve to be spoken to in such a way as if they were trash. Its been almost 2 years since that happened the reason I'm writing this now is because I can't shake it everytime I see his shop I get so upset and remember the incident. Its said that mean spirited individuals and narcissistic men tend to have child hood trauma which I can be understanding and compassionate to. Within a couple of weeks we'd purchased an old tropical-theme cabinet from David--far better than the one I'd originally called about--which is now the most beautiful thing we own. Let's start with the fact that at the very offset my wife and I were welcomed with a sermon about our kid's stroller not being allowed in the store. Hey, fair is fair and you've got a lot of breakable stuff and narrow aisles, even though this was a compact travel stroller, but still. I get it, but I don't need to be read an edict because I decided to reproduce and bring my kid to your store. Let's move onto the products: this is the typical antique store that thinks just because something is old, it immediately costs over $50. I literally didn't see anything under that price while browsing there, and most of the stuff was junk. Not really antiques, but kitsch souvenirs from 1998 that get sold as "vintage" when really they're just junk, and let's not get into the pretty insensitive "old dead people stuff" sign they seem to find clever. It's cringey. Now, I've seen stores that overcharge for stuff that wasn't worth what they're asking for when it was brand new. Sadly, that's par for the course. What made me leave this place in anger was the "special" browsing section, where maybe, JUST maybe, there's something worth paying the exorbitant prices they're asking for, so what do they do? They charge a $2 price of admission for browsing that area! So you mean to tell me that in order to SHOP at your STORE, I have to PAY? I know Yelp will take down a review if I leave a message to the person who came up that idea saying what I wish they went and did, but they can go ahead and do that. You don't get business by charging for the opportunity to do business. Avoid this place, just go to the beach and watch the sunset itself. It's pretty epic in Maui, and it's free. read more

I had my daughter, son-in-law and their 2 very well behaved kids visiting from mainland. We were waiting for line to get smaller at shave ice (best on island & xcellent service with a smile & good conversation) so we decided to go in. IMMEDIATELY, we were stared at by the owner & followed thru his store as if we would be shoplifting! None are worth the incredibly high price that the unfriendly owner is asking. And the pay to enter back room-- give me a break-- you don't even have to pay to enter high end boutiques! Loved my visit at this shop! It is a jungle of gems for anyone with an eye out for hidden treasure. The owner had a daybed posted on craigslist that I was interested in. I called on a Thursday and he held it for me for four days until I could get there and then even let me take a pillow home with me for two MORE days to see if it was a match with my living room. I never bought the daybed but got an amazing coffee table and two gorgeous costume pieces. My sister has lived on maui for ten years and done business with him a lot and raves about her experience. I brought my visiting Auntie who is an artist and collector there and it was her favorite place on the island. Not sure why the hours on here state 10am when his door sign states "11-ish" but also states he would come in earlier if you really wanted something. Prices are negotiable for sure. Some very odd things for sure but I enjoyed looking around. When I was there the owner told me he gets Omega and Philipe wathces regularly but didn't have any that particular day because every Tuesday watch collectors come wipe him out. So I called that following Monday and he told me he didn't deal in watches. Then he called me right back and said he didn't have any at the time. So I reminded him that he had multiple cases of jewelry that included watches. I was dismissed. So I was disappointed that I was lied to initially and dismissed upon my second attempt to actually do business with him. There was one item I wanted to purchase that I was told was not for sale. I did purchase a camera that was marked $150 for $40. He quoted me the price however when it was time to pay he wanted me to pay $55....that was also discouraging. This is a very unique store that has treasures from all over the world. I saw the beautiful beaded knitted purses in the window and went inside to take a closer look. The owner was very friendly and helpful and proceeded to show me more of his inventory of vintage beaded purses. The purses were hand made from Europe and were reasonably priced. There are many pieces of jewelry with gem stones and Silver bracelets with inlayed turquoise. I found model cars from the 50 and 60's. A great selection of crystals to choose from. I saw this Japanese bobble head in the window of this shop and went in to inquire about it and the owner had to move all this stuff out of the way just to get to it and as he was working on getting to it he said some stuff in the store is not for sale and I knew right then he didn't really want to sell any of this overpriced garage sale stuff. The store owner was extremely rude and accused of us of moving his red rope and going into the back without permission. This place is over-priced and has bogus 60% off tags on just about everything! The owner said he was closing two shops and therefore had this great sale going on. Those sale prices have been posted for at least two years. No wonder the other shops are closing. I found this shop to have some of the most unique decorator Chinese, Micronesian, Japanese and American antiques I have ever seen in one location! I've shopped in Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii and found the prices to be far more reasonable here for high quality pieces then you can find anywhere else. Less then half price of Calif!
