It's now 4PM on 11/04/2024 and the house still hasn't even been visited by an agent from ERA, nor a cleaner or anyone from maintenance. The only response we've gotten from the company is through Ashley (who has been great) but there's only so much that she can do with upper management not speaking to us and refusing to acknowledge the situation beyond saying the situation shouldn't have even happened. Now, there's no rentals available in the area and our family is screwed out of thousands of dollars in move-in fees, hotel stay costs, food costs since we have no usable kitchen, and the company still won't return our calls in a timely manner and is giving us the runaround. Incredibly disappointed in this experience, the service from upper management, and overall wouldn't recommend renting from this company if you actually want to move into a livable home in a timely manner.

Now they want me to pay her out of pocket for the refund since they still repaired these things. Even without my consent. Those things did not need to be fixed. I am extremely upset with this company and do not recommend anyone use them for property management.

The evening we told her we would arrive we had not heard anything from lakin about how we would access the home considering she never told us when we could pick up the key. We pull up to our "home" very late in the day to discover someone fully still living in the home we had paid for. We then start calling and texting lakin and no answer.. until we threatened to get the police involved and she answered super quickly. She then claimed she had no idea what was going on and the people in the home must've been squatters and she now has to file a police report. She continues to offer us other properties that are "ready tonight" as if we would ever trust anything this woman has to say again. Weeks and weeks go by waiting for our money to be returned to us since we had to find a whole new home to live in. (We drove across the country with our 2 children and dog and had nowhere to go) Fast forward 6 months later we got a call from a debt collector saying we owe up to 10k in "missed rent" payments on a home we never even stepped foot into.
