I had a very concerning and upsetting experience at Sun Tan City. Since it had been about 10 years…read moresince my last visit, I was told to only use the tanning bed for six minutes. While I was in the bed, I could tell something didn't feel right with the timing. I lifted the bed early, only to see the timer was already over 9 minutes and still running. I immediately got out and went to the front desk to report the issue. Afterward, I went to my spray tan room, but when I passed by the same tanning room a few minutes later, the bed was still running. That's a serious safety concern and should never happen. To make matters worse, when I asked about protective goggles, I was told they weren't necessary. Now I'm dealing with eye pain. This experience left me feeling unsafe and extremely frustrated. I expected proper guidance and functioning equipment, but instead I'm dealing with the consequences of what feels like negligence.

When we arrived, no one introduced the stylist or mentioned any change. My daughter was taken back, and we went through the entire appointment under the impression she was with Christina. The haircut itself was not what was requested. My daughter brought reference photos, but the bangs were cut far too short and uneven, and the layering was incorrect. It was only after we left that I realized the stylist was not Christina at all. The business card we were handed when leaving said "Bailey," who isn't even listed on their website. The lack of transparency is unacceptable. If a client books with a specific stylist, they should be clearly informed of any changes beforehand. We would not have booked this appointment otherwise. To make matters worse, I reached out to the salon via email weeks ago to resolve this and never received any response. No acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing. This appointment was for my daughter's birthday, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Based on both the service and the complete lack of accountability afterward, I would never recommend this salon.

The owner didn't even have the decency to call and tell me herself, she had one of the teenagers there call me. I wouldn't have purchased the product in the first place if the little girl behind the counter would have told me that it had self tanner in it and it would turn my hands orange!! I told her that I hadn't been tanning in years and was clueless about the products. I purchased it on her recommendation. Big mistake. My friend gave me a coupon for Sun Tan City and it was then that I truly realized how filthy and disgusting Aussie Tans actually is. Sun Tan City is clean with knowledgable staff (hate the upselling though!!) and wonderful beds that actually work like they are supposed to. Take my advice....don't ever even bother walking into Aussie Tans....you will regret it.
