I've had a root canal with Dr Cain. He was professional, friendly, caring and ensured I was not in any pain. While nobody wants a root canal, if you need one, this is the group to do it. My 18 year old college student recently called me from her dorm literally crying in pain saying her jaw hurt. We got in with our dentist same day and were referred to Endodontic Associates as it appeared a nerve died in a tooth that had a cavity filled a few years back. They got us in within 25 minutes, diagnosed her, and to my great surprise offered to do the root canal the same day. My daughter came out of the procedure saying that it went smoothly and she had no pain or discomfort throughout. She reiterated how friendly, caring and nice Dr. Sparrow and his staff were. He explained everything and even drew a diagram to show my daughter exactly what to expect prior to getting started. She woke this morning to no pain and was back to her typical self. Thank you for getting my girl out of pain so quickly. Every single person I've encountered at this office was friendly, knowledgeable, diligent, courteous, and helpful. I just was referred to this office, I arrived and there was only one other patient other than myself and it managed to take almost two hours, in between a very unprofessional dental assistant Amanda doing a second tier job, it was a Monday afternoon, but if you work with people you should be nice. All this time culminated in a referral to an oral surgeon telling me based on questionable X-rays Ananda took that I needed surgery and they did next to nothing, except waste my time. She literally asked me to stand on my toes to do the X-rays and the copy I was given was very blurry, I do not feel confident in the advice. I want another opinion and I suggest you do the same. read more

Dr Sparrow was really great with my immediate root canal- continually asked if I was okay throughout the procedure, was very helpful explaining things and had a positive attitude. The assistant was also great, really appreciated. Root canals are not fun but good to know I was in good hands. A month later and they called me AGAIN today saying they sent more letters in the mail saying I hadn't paid.... I had to call them back and tell them the exact date I made a payment so they could go "find it"- also I had not received more letters in the mail... this was over a month ago I made the payment and I had told them I did so at the time and hadn't heard from them since... completely baffled by this place... read more

Well, I had to get a second root canal. I felt extremely comfortable and had a great experience here. Update: 2 years later my root canal "failed" meaning my tooth had cracked. Letting in bacteria -therefore I had to have the tooth pulled. I didn't even know that was a possibility. They would not offer any type of refund. If I had known this was a possibility I would have gotten the tooth pulled from the beginning. The odd thing is, my dentist said they saw a concern with that tooth a year ago! FYI- they only refund up to a year. You know, which is really convenient because I'm getting multiple x-rays on my teeth to know there's a problem within a year. I explained this to the endodontist and they refused to discuss any refund. While getting my tooth pulled I asked my dentist how I wouldn't know my tooth was that bad. They explained because I have had a root canal, I wouldn't have been able to feel any of the symptoms. read more

We also had a great experience. Dr. Murray did a great job on our teen daughter's tooth which had been knocked out and reinserted. She was advised to have a root canal on it, and Dr. Murray was great. He also treated her like an adult, even making her laugh in such a stressful time. Her appointment was without any pain, and when she did have some pain later in the day/evening, he made sure to call several times and make sure her pain was under control. I also had a root canal redone here (original was at another practice) and I was glad that he was able to drill through the original crown and redo the one root that the previous dentist had missed, and close up the crown. This saved us a lot of money, and everything is still intact 3 years later. I would highly recommend this practice for root canals. Very good in office treatment and great follow up treatment as well. read more

Can you enjoy a root canal? Because mine was awesome! I went to Aspen Dental (huge mistake) who gave me a filling and two months later told me it needed a root canal - after I was doubled over in pain. Then they told me they couldn't help me for almost two months. So I went to the web and found Endodontic Associates. The front desk staff got me in the next day, gave me an accurate quote, and even let me split it into two payments. Their office is clean and lovely - right above the Green Hills shopping center near Whole Foods. Dr Freeland gave me a great examination to ensure it was the right tooth. They took several X-rays and were incredibly compassionate to my pain. The assistant was so kind - she even comforted me when I was hurting. Laughing gas was only an extra $40 so of course I took it! The Dr. was quick and gentle. He explained what he was doing the whole time. He even worked hard to find a new dentist to refer me to that took my insurance! I hope I don't have to have any more root canals but if I do I'll be back in a heart beat! read more

Other than some hurt feelings over the $1300 price tag I walked out of the Endodonics Associates pain free. My boss was impressed with the little amount of time my root canal took (a bottom molar) and I even stopped off for my 'scripts before reporting to work in Brentwood at 10:20 (my appointment was at 8:30). I'm pretty brave about the dentist having only pleasant experiences in my lifetime (thank goodness!), but the good dentist was very subdued and thoroughly explained each little step of the process while I kicked back with the Today show. The seemed almost over cautious about pain management, but hey - I'll take that any day, right?! The one funny thing was the billing associate seemed a little too chipper about the fact that I 'saved' $50 by paying up front on a $1300 purchase. I had to bite my (numb) tongue from informing her I wasn't exactly getting a black friday special now was I? Overall recommended if you have the misfortune of a root canal in your future, especially if you are lucky enough to have good dental insurance to numb your pocketbook pain. read more

I was referred here by my dentist for a root canal. They were able to offer me the first available appointment with DrCain. The office was beautiful and the staff was so sweet. His dental assistant (Christy) and him were very thorough on explaining everything and the actual procedure itself went so well. When I heard my dentist tell me that I needed at a minimum, a root canal, I was terrified. My dentist thought that my tooth may not be able to be saved. Dental work terrifies me due to awful experiences I had as a child. My dentist sent me to Dr. Annie Jones. When I arrived, my fate was worse than what I thought. Not only did I need one root canal, the one tooth was abscess and the one right next to it was in bad shape too. Dr. Jones scheduled the procedure next day for the two root canals and was able to save both of my teeth. She is precious and gentle as they come. Dr. Jones easily calmed my fears, and I kid you not, I had ZERO pain. Not even any pain when she injected the Novocaine. If you ever have to get a root canal done, I highly recommend Endodontic Associates. I can't sing their praises enough. I'm so glad my dentist sent me here. I absolutely agree with previous reviews. I spent the night before my appointment very anxious about my upcoming root canal. I have had a lot of awful dental appointments in the past. I had one root canal done by my family dentist. Such a disaster. I had to go to a specialist to have it repaired. Anyway Dr. Murray at Endodontic Associates performed my latest root canal. It truly was a good experience. He was compassionate, kind, funny, and did a wonderful job numbing me and performing the procedure. I never felt a thing. Fully impressed! I am a dental coward due to some pretty bad dental experiences in the past. Dr. Price at Endodontic Associates has changed my entire opinion of the profession and the procedures. Nothing short of outstanding. Not only are the offices very nice without being gaudy, but the staff is very attentive and efficient. Once I filled out my paperwork, Wren took me to my room, got me comfortable, and took a few Xrays. I had been given an emergency appointment because my tooth was in horrid shape, so everyone knew that a root canal was "on." (Due to the bad experience I had before, I put off this root canal for four years. Yes, you read that right. And yes, the tooth hurt every day of those four years.) Within a few minutes, Dr. Price entered, numbed me up and began explaining what was going to happen. And then the work began... If there is such a thing as getting a root canal that was a walk in the park, this was it. Dr. Price and Wren worked like a well-oiled machine on my tooth and were done before I knew it. There were a few complications due to calcification (my fault for letting it go for four years), but overall things went very smoothly and I never felt the slightest bit of discomfort. Throughout the procedure, they explained everything to me (without being condescending) and made sure that I was comfortable. Once completed, Dr. Price gave me a rundown of what happened and what I should expect in the next few days. A few minutes later, I was walking out of the office with -- wait for it -- a smile?? Dr. Price called me later that night to ensure everything was OK. I am not sure if he does this for all his patients or if it is because my tooth was so jacked up, but I appreciated the personal call. I am so glad that places like this exist. The work they did on me has actually gotten me excited about taking better care of my teeth. While I hope to never have another root canal, there is literally no other place I would go. Yesterday I had to have an immediate root canal and I was referred to Dr. Michael Murray at Endodontic Associates in Green Hills for the procedure. Approximately 10 years ago I had been so traumatized by a dentist who performed a previous root canal that I thought I might have a panic attack when I showed up for the root canal yesterday. When I first got into the dental chair I wasn't boo-hooing but tears were welling up in my eyes and rolling down the side of my face and my jaw was even shaking in anticipation of the pain I was about to endure. Dr. Murray was heaven sent to do this root canal for me. I never even felt a needle stick! No pain whatsoever during the entire process!! Nothing!!!! His personality completely put me at ease and I could tell he's a great person in general by the way he treated his staff. I was expecting to be in a lot of pain as soon as the numbing medicine wore off but I had no pain. There was the expected discomfort from having a pretty major dental procedure performed but I wasn't in pain! I expected so much pain after the procedure due to my previous experience with getting a root canal. And today, no pain!!! I just have to not chew on that side while it heals. I am still in disbelief that I had a root canal that didn't hurt while it was being done and hasn't bothered me one single bit the following day! I am so grateful to Dr. Murray and the dentist that referred me to him! Wow! read more

Actually i want to give them ZERO stars... but ONE star is the minimum i can rate. I visited the doctors office and was given an estimate of $136. I had the procedure performed after paying $136. However 6 weeks later i received a bill for $591. The billing staff does not know to hit the insurance details and provide the approximate amount for the procedure. They did some thing wrong and are making me pay the amount which i did not plan for. When i checked with billing staff about the bill amount, they were first soft spoken and trying to convince me... but when i was still not content with their response they started to say that whatever they gave was an Estimate (because the initial estimate had a word ESTIMATED sealed on it). They also told me if you dont pay, no issues.. we will send it to collection agencies. I am being made to pay $591 because of the Billing staff mistake. They will rip you off.. Dont go there... I feel like i am being ROBBED by Endodontic Associates PA & i am helpless because of the impact to credit history... Long live Endodontic Associates PA.......... read more

I went here for a root canal and was very impressed. The whole experience from check-in to treatment to check-out was professional. I get very anxious at the dentists but the doctor here was very good at explaining and doing what he was supposed to do. It was expensive but root canal would be expensive anywhere. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a dentist office. I didn't receive any services but I received a bill in the mail. I was referred by another dentist office who had did a check up and then they referred me there then I got sent back to the original place. I would not refer anyone else to go there again. read more

IF ANYONE IS SCANNING REVIEWS TO DECIDE WHAT ENDODONTIC GROUP THEY SHOULD CONSIDER- LOOK NO FURTHER.******************************* Above and beyond patient satisfaction! I was visiting from out of town and was experiencing pain and swelling from an abscessed tooth. I called their office on a FRIDAY after 1:00 and Dr. Chunn was able to see me. He reconfirmed that I needed a root canal but needed the infection to subside before they (or anyone else) could complete a root canal. He prescribed for me a stronge antibiotic typically used to treat such of an infection and I was on my way. Unfortunately the antibiotic was too strong for my sensitive stomach. i called the answering service the next morning (a Saturday) the doc on call (Dr. Price) went above and beyond the call of duty. He not only told me exactly what he would prescribe that was somewhat milder but also suggested a different pain medication than my doc in BR had prescibed (because at this stage I was MISERABLE!) He went out of his way to get me a prescription and offer other suggestions to insure I would get relief from the pain and swelling until I returned back to Baton Rouge on Monday.. (Staff was also very friendly and compassionate.) Kudos to you all. read more

He ran a little behind and came into my exam room to check and me and explain and be sure I was okay and that it would be about 10 more minutes. Most places don't seem to care to make you wait 10 minutes, much less come in to explain -- especially the dentist/doctor themselves. They have TVs that you can watch to pass the time. One morning I woke up in excruciating pain. So I went to my general dentist for a limited exam and he gave me some pain medicine and referred me to Endodontic Associates for a consultation. I was in so much pain, I just wanted the pain to stop. Endodontic Associates was able to see me the same day. After my consultation, the doctor told me that my tooth was fractured and needed to be extracted (what my general dentist knew), and I was then referred to an oral surgeon whom scheduled my appointment the next day. The staff was nice, my only complaint is with the billing department. I was billed $77.00 for the consultation due to the fact I saw my general dentist the same day. I was unaware of that, and had I known that my insurance would not have covered the visit, I would have made the appointment for the next day! The front office had all my information and I assumed someone checked with my insurance company to verify the benefits, but maybe it was too soon, I don't know. What I do know is that the next day I went to the oral surgeon that I was referred to, and with sedation and all...NO BILL WHATSOEVER! To top it off, I tried speaking with the billing department and I was unsuccessful in resolving my concern. The result was the company reporting this to the credit bureau and I ended up with a lowered score and paying $89.00. So its okay, my lesson learned. My take home message: #1. I will not go back. #2. Its best to have someone with you when you are in a lot of pain, because its hard to focus and communicate. #3. Never see two doctors in one day for examination...even if they are two different specialties without verifying yourself with your dental insurance company. read more
