I don't have enough nice things to say about Dr. Kang and his crew! I was sent over by Dr. Veigl as I needed a root canal, and I was frankly terrified until I felt totally safe and so numb in the expert Dr. Kang's magic hands. For a root canal, the process was quite efficient in three appointments: the first one was taking x-rays. I was also prescribed painkillers and antibiotics to preventatively mitigate any infection - didn't end up needing anything. Second appointment was actually cleaning up the canals and putting in a sedative in the tooth. This was such a painless process! The lovely assistant put a topical gel on my gum to numb it out, then I had a shot of anesthesia and then we were good to go. The whole procedure lasted about 50 min, with a few x-rays taken. Lastly, I was back a week later for a third appointment to remove the sedative and finish the root canal fully. Once again, not a thing felt. The tooth was tender for 48h after the procedure but it's now back to completely normal. Absolutely fantastic experience. read more

I'd been avoiding dentists for more than a decade. The need for an immediate root canal forced me back. My dentist recommended Dr. Lin. Dr. Lin saw me THAT DAY. The root canal was virtually painless. The pain that drove me to the dentist was resolved THAT DAY. The procedure required multiple visits between the work Dr. Lin had to do and some my primary dentists had to do. However, I can say that being Dr. Lin's patient was a pleasure - how's that for a turn around in attitude. A year later I unfortunately needed another root canal to resolve the last issue my decade of neglect led to. This time I didn't need urgent care but I got into see Dr. Lin that week. Again, the procedure was virtually painless. The issue was resolved that visit. Dr. Lin's technique seems precise, highly skilled, thorough, careful, compassionate, considerate, and a good value. I've found her to have a pleasant chair-side manner. Her offices were clean, comfortable, and professional. The facility I saw her at (509 Olive Way, Suite 1633) felt a bit small or arranged to provide privacy but certainly not concerningly so. I was referred to Dr Lin from my dentist for a root canal. After enduring a weekend of pain, I went in for my appointment. They squeezed me in the same day I called and everyone was really nice when I got there. The procedure was painless and went very smoothly. I could not be happier. I was referred by my regular dentist to see Dr. Kang after I had some severe swelling after a root canal. I was greeted promptly and very politely by the receptionist--who actually confirmed my name because I was new (I feel like people don't do that anymore.). Then I was taken back to a room and was met by Dr. Kang in record time. He was very understanding regarding my situation. I couldn't really speak or swallow well because there was so much pressure from the swelling. I'm a bit of a weakling when it comes to needles and shots so the tech let me hold her hand while I got anesthetized. Dr. Kang kept saying he was "so sorry" for having to do this. He was extremely sympathetic. When it came time to drain the swollen area, he was quick and efficient. When I said that it still hurt, he took the time to get me a little more numb before continuing. He also numbed me after the procedure to keep me out of pain for a little longer, which was such a relief because I hadn't been pain-free for the last 10 days. This morning was the first time in a week in a half that I haven't woken up with debilitating pain! I'm so, so grateful for the professional work I had done at this office. read more

Dr. Kang and his staff were incredibly friendly made my root canal as painless as it could be. They were super attentive to my pain, and even thought my tooth was extra sensitive they reapplied and monitored my discomfort the whole time. What might have been two sittings was accomplished in the one visit, and I could tell that Dr. Kang was professional and thorough, but also laid back enough to joke and talk to keep my anxiety in check. I was pleased with my experience from beginning to end. I broke my tooth and was in a lot of pain, they got me in on the same day! My appointment lasted only about 45 minutes and was finished in one visit. It was pain free, the one time I did feel pain Dr. Kang stopped immediately and got me more numb. If I could rate this in diamonds i would bc they sparkle by far than stars! My experience from Dr. Lin's office was above and beyond my expectations. Everyone knows when u have a root canal- PAINFUL. I was a little upset after hearing from my regular dentist it would take 3 weeks to find out with my insurance if I can be seen. Absolutely not! I googled and found Dr. Lin's office and called 3 other offices. All 3 responded but Elizabeth from Dr. Lin's office called me first thing in the morning and I called back asap! They knew I was in pain and accompanied me the very same morning. I felt so relief. I arrived and again felt the warmth from Elizabeth which had handled my insurance within mins rather than 3 weeks. Kim is another fabulous dental asst, she lowered my anxiety by talking to me and made me feel more comfortable. Then came Dr. Lin within minutes:). How often do you go to your dental office and gives you detail information about what will happen today with your visit?? answer: this amazing TEAM does it all! I saw Dr. Lin for my appointment yesterday and was AMAZED by how wonderful everything was. I went in for a root canal procedure on a molar that I had been neglecting for a long time which had become infected. After looking at the x-rays, Dr. Lin saw that I actually needed TWO root canals, on the infected tooth and on the one in front of it. A terrifying thing for someone who has never even had one before. I had heard all of the horror stories and was panicking. Dr. Lin and her staff were nothing short of astounding. After the initial needle injections for the Novocaine, I didn't feel a thing. She knows exactly where and how to inject the nerves to ensure the patient is completely at ease. She and her staff were also incredibly pleasant and made sure I knew what I was being billed and what I would be charged before the procedure even took place (a thing I greatly appreciated). I felt absolutely nothing during the procedure and even if I did feel a slight twinge, Dr. Linn made sure to add some more anesthesia to the area. Even after my procedure, I have only felt a little sore and haven't had any issues. I've been raving about her ever since. Highly recommended. read more

Dr. Kang has performed two root canals on me and I think he is great. These are the kind of dentists you want to perform root canals because this is their specialty. He takes time to numb me and is respectful and caring about the fact that I can't tolerate certain numbing medications. He works fast and gets your procedure done so you can get on with your life. They are flexible in their scheduling and can often start the procedure on the same day as your consultation. Dr Kang is easily reachable, with his cell phone # given to all patients. His front desk staff is super nice (I love Brittany) and they are up front and transparent about pricing. This office makes an unpleasant procedure as easy and painless as possible. read more

They billed my insurance for a cosmetic procedure after they told me that the insurance would not cover and received a full payment upfront. They also billed the insurance for an unnecessary procedure. The accounting staff is ready to fight with you when you question about charges, and they blame you for not asking about the charge prior to the treatment as if we didn't. read more

Really smart, professional assessment of tooth pain, with excellent teaching and follow-up. Very personable and a good communicator. Last month, I had a sudden onset of awful stabbing tooth pain, sensitive to hot, cold, and pressure. This was bad pain--and I've had 2 unmedicated births. My dentist figured I needed a root canal, so sent me to a DIFFERENT endodontist (not Dr. Lin) who agreed that I needed a root canal, but whose office was not great at Universal Precautions (aka handwashing), so I checked Yelp for other options. SO happy that I did. Along with excellent handwashing in this office (I'm a nurse and maybe a tiny bit OCD about this), Dr. Lin noticed that a filling that had been replaced a few months ago was a little high, and asked whether I had been clenching my teeth lately. I had not noticed that I was, but was under some stress and with sore jaw muscles, so I realized that this was indeed the case. She shaved off a little of the filling, prescribed extra-fluoride toothpaste, and suggested I wait a couple of weeks to see whether the pain improved. She also sent me home with a prescription for pain meds and antibiotics I could fill in case things got worse. I initially doubted this would work, but my pain is so much better now! Without a root canal! She called a couple of weeks later to check in with me and see whether this conservative management had worked. I'm very happy to go back to my regular dentist with my teeth and roots intact, and not needing recovery and a crown and everything that comes along with a root canal. Such a great experience at Endodontics Seattle, I will definitely go back there if needed and tell all my friends about this fantastic endodontist. read more

I recently had a traumatic front tooth injury and not only needed a root canal, but internal bleaching treatment as well, since my tooth had turned dark purple due to a broken blood vessel. The root canal was quick and painless, and I'm pretty sure after the bleaching, my tooth now looks better than it did before my injury. I can't even begin to describe how happy I am with the outcome of the treatment there. Dr. Kang and his whole staff are incredibly friendly and true professionals. They made me feel at ease throughout the whole process and I am truly thankful that I decided to come there to repair my tooth.
