He showed me around and took me to my room to settle in. The room was cozy and spotlessly clean. At 1 PM I went to the dining room for lunch, where I met other guests who had arrived a few days before me. Everyone was so welcoming. Lunch was delicious and quite filling. At 2 PM I had my first treatment with Melba. I had chosen the Rest & Relaxation Retreat and I loved every second of my massage, the Nasya and that day I had the steam. I learned the steam, where I was very comfortable, was detoxing me. What a wonderful feeling! That evening I had yoga with Emily. A sweet, beautiful young lady. It was my first time doing yoga and she was so patient, letting me know she wanted me to feel comfortable performing the poses. After the class I felt so accomplished and then it was time for dinner. Again, an amazing meal. I did not feel full but did feel very satisfied. I slept so well that night I missed my yoga class at 8 am. Really wish I hadn't overslept or at least had set the alarm clock. Emily also taught that class. I was able to join her and the other guests for breakfast. My second treatment was with Malati. Like Melba, Malati took her time with my massage. I love the oils and my ability to relax with not a care in the world. This time I chose the warm oil drip. Not kidding! Out of this world! That evening we had our cooking class. Eula was amazing, teaching us every step of making 5 dishes. She explained the process, the herbs and we were lucky they have their own herb garden. We each had a dish to make but we all helped each other. Although we were all strangers, the ambiance promoted comradery and a feeling of being with family. I included a picture of us after we prepared our meal. Did I mention the unlimited tea? Another amazing nights sleep! This is huge for me because I had been having problems sleeping for a couple of months. Don't know if it was due to the food, yoga or my massages but I slept undisturbed and woke up feeling refreshed and energized. That morning I was able to make the yoga class at 8 AM. To my surprise, our instructor was Richard, who founded this retreat in 2001. Richard worked us through meditation, stretches, yoga poses and guided us to chakra meditation. He played guitar and sang to us uplifting melodies that touched my soul. I am so glad I finally took a step towards my well-being. I learned so much about peace and harmony and how to make it a part of my existence. I have been meditating every morning since and my days are filled with affinity I didn't know was in me. I didn't know what to expect or how exactly this week would rejuvenate me but my experience here transcended any expectations one could have. The loving and nurturing environment at the center calms your nervous system and it feels like you're wrapped in a warm hug the entire time you're there. From every interaction with staff members, to each treatment I received, the attendees and conversations - everything felt like it was addressing the needs of my soul and body both. The highlight was the incredibly nourishing and tasty meals - I hadn't known food that is good for your body can also be so yummy. There may be many such "retreat" options, and before arriving here I had thought I'd explore different options the next time. But I am already signed up to return to this center because the more intimate setting feels like you're being taken care of by family, with the sincerest focus on your health and well-being (there is no pressures of up-sells and add-ons, but they are all there if you need it). After returning home, I have been able to continually move towards cooking and enjoying healthier meals -- instead of a temporary diet, I see this now as a way of life. This transformation took place not just for physical health, but the inflections that took place for my personal growth journey have also created a lasting impact. This retreat wasn't a "break" from life but rather a "realignment" in life.

The location also wasn't ideal during the massage, I heard two loud car alarms and an ambulance right outside the window, which made it hard to relax. While the masseuse was kind, the massage itself wasn't what I was looking for. I booked a lymphatic drainage massage but received more of a light, general massage with little pressure or technique. Considering the price (plus the generous tip I left), I was really disappointed overall. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

I experienced object in his office to have been very mindfully selected, from the Biomat on the massage table, to beautiful statues, exotic stones, and really cool sound healing instruments. It's legitimately the most pleasant massage therapist (or any health professional's office) I have experienced. The wonderful thing is that, this setting is reflective of the therapist/sound healer himself, Alejandro Boullon. Prior to beginning with the actual session, Alejandro invited me to sit wherever I felt and share anything that was coming to mind. I felt very at ease and felt no pressure or rush to express myself. I also felt very safe sharing my experiences with him - he's a good man. The bodywork/sound healing session that followed was otherworldly! Alejandro has somehow formulated a very creative hybrid of bodywork and sound healing into one seamless experience. My low back pain was treated with a combination of bodywork techniques and sound healing (with super cool devices that are somewhat like tuning forks). The sound felt like it was coming from 5 different directions when it was solely Alejandro doing his magic. I believe he also played crystals bowls. The session was so complex, so multi-sensory, that it is very difficult for me to describe. I invite YOU to try something new, and possibly super life-changing. I have an imagination that you've never experienced anything like this. And YES, I felt physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually better after the session.
