Weddings: I have seen Lisa's be-autiful work many times, so there was never any question that she'd be in charge of my wedding flowers. She is a pleasure to work with, and this is why: - She is more organised than I could ever be...so she helped guide me and gave awesome suggestions (with the help of pinterest) - I had a vague idea of what I thought'd look pretty, but she took my ideas and improved them until my wedding venue looked amaaazing. Her flowers made the dusty old barn (wedding venue) look fresh, and smell lovely. - My bouquet (and my bridesmaid bouquets) were sooo gorgeous! - She even made a flower chandelier(!) - She loves vintage pots and glasses so her flower arrangements don't look formal or boring. I loved that! - She gets the most beautiful flowers! Seriously my light blue delphiniums and peachy pink roses were perfect. Also, she managed all this why also being a bridesmaid. This lady is a multitasking queen! Flower workshops: Recently Miss Victoria's Floral Emporium has moved to a new studio in East Dulwich, and I was lucky enough to attend one of her first floral crown making workshops. It was such a giggle! I got to make friends with a lovely group of ladies over tea and cake, and then Lisa showed us all how to make beautiful headdresses. Our workshop yesterday was a special (free) trial, but I think this would be SUCH a cool thing to do on a hen party, or a birthday...or just for fun if you have creative, flower-loving friends. My little brother recently got married at Oaks Farm, and it was the most perfect of perfect days…read more The venue is really lovely - you'd never believe you were still in Croydon. It has lovely gardens, with a little lake and the function venue in a sort of low barn and conservatory, where they take care of the service, meal and dancing, expertly shifting between each stage of the day without any of the guests noticing. The lawn is walled in and dotted with cherry blossom trees, and with pretty little love seats and wrought iron benches making for perfect wedding photos. It's not geared towards anything absolutely huge - the capacity for dinner was about 80, and 150 for drinking and dancing later on. They're quite flexible about what services you use, with a selection of caterers for you to choose from. Also on the site is a very dinky little cottage, and it is here that the bride can get ready prior to the wedding ceremony, and where the couple can spend their first married night. I think this is quite a nice touch, and it's a realy clean, cosy little house. All in all, a very nice venue, and one worth checking out if you're in the early planning stages of a wedding!

From the moment we stepped inside the shop we felt relaxed and at ease (especially after a negative experience elsewhere). The fact that we had an area to ourselves and a welcoming drink made us all feel at home and individual. Sally looked after us so well and we all felt her passion for her job. She took time to listen to what Sam's likes and dislikes where which wasn't easy as my daughter hates fuss and attention. She chatted away to all of us, listening to the wedding plans and how they had met, which was lovely. Sally picked out a dress which my daughter would not have originally thought of but when she put it on we all knew 'this was the one'. As a mum I felt Sally was like an old friend and we could be honest with her. Up until now I had not been emotional... but let's just say we owe you a box of tissues!! After trying a few others, just to be sure Sam tried THE dress on again, I am biased of course but she looked amazing in it. When I turned up to my appointment with my Mum, Sister and Best friend I was a nervous wreck! From the moment I walked though the door I was greeted with friendly, helpful and attentive staff. I really wish I could remember the name of the wonderful lady who helped me. She was really understanding and got to grips with what I wanted quickly. She asked me what sort of wedding I was having and asked me a little about myself and what ideas I had before I arrived. We then went downstairs to look at certain designers she felt encompassed my requirements. We picked 4 presses together then she picked a 'wild card'. Once back upstairs I tried on all the dresses and found 'The One' in dress 2! It was funny as the dress I chose was the dress I thought I would like the least. The ladies commented that if they had a pound for every time they heard that! I don't want to give it all away but I wanted to explain that last bit because I thought it was just so stress free and completely took the anxiety of being faced with so many dresses away. The sales advisor clearly knew each individual dress so only pulled out dresses she knew I would like. It was just a really professional and fun experience. I just want to say thank you to Isabella Grace for making the experience so special and a day I wont forget, I just cant wait to put my dress on again!
