I spoke to several others in the area and Johnathan was the ONLY one to give me a straight and honest response about my case. He did not give me false hope by telling me I would get everything I asked for. He instead was realistic with me and he is extremely responsive! If I have any sort of issue he responds to my email so quickly and I know that is not the case for most family attorneys. We are still in the process of getting everything ready so I will update how it goes during hearings etc... but so far he's the right guy for the job. When I asked my original attorney about the three people I interviewed he hands down told me Mr. Marks was the way to go and he wouldn't drain my account like the other ones and he is very good at what he does. He is higher per hour than the others but I am perfectly willing to pay for an amazing attorney. He is well worth the money I will be spendings as time goes on.

    # A Devastating Failure of Advocacy During the Most Critical Time of My Life…read more I am writing this review under my own name because people deserve to understand my experience. My litigation has now been ongoing for over two years, and since my representation by Jonathan Marks, I have consulted with multiple highly respected attorneys in Missouri regarding the events that occurred during my case really before it even started. The consistent concern I have heard is not simply about the outcome, but about the process, the lack of preparation, the lack of communication, and decisions that I believe were made without my informed consent. I hired an attorney to protect me during one of the most financially and personally catastrophic periods of my life. My companies were under attack, my financial world was unraveling, and I was navigating an extremely complex divorce and business matter involving significant assets and consequences. Despite the seriousness and complexity of the situation, critical decisions were made before a full financial record had even been developed before the court and before substantive divorce proceedings had truly begun. A temporary arrangement was entered that, in my view, mirrored major settlement terms and impacted significant rights and claims without the level of analysis, preparation, and consultation I expected from my counsel and in a hearing that it belonged. What remains most disturbing to me is how those decisions were reached. Negotiations and conversations occurred outside my presence and without my express authorization. My civil attorney, who was present and actively involved in related matters, was not brought into those discussions once. When I expressed that I wanted to address my concerns directly before the judge rather than simply accept what was being presented because. everything changed, I did not feel my position was advocated for. in fact I was yelled at while my entire life was on fire. Instead of receiving guidance and protection during a moment of extreme fear and distress, I felt pressured, unheard, and overwhelmed and expressed so. I was facing the potential loss of millions of dollars and years of work that I had built, and I needed an attorney who would fully explain my options, and aggressively protect my interests. No attorney can guarantee a perfect result. That is not my criticism. My criticism is that a client should never leave a critical proceeding feeling they did not understand the consequences of what they were agreeing to or that their own concerns were dismissed. He was fired shortly after I should have ran not walked away from this horrific attorney. The consequences of those decisions have been enormous. I continue to document what I believe exceeds seven figures in financial and business-related damages connected to this period of litigation. The professional, financial, and personal impact has been profound, and years later I am still uncovering and working to repair the damage and my case is not done due to this very event. Based on my experience, I would never retain Jonathan Marks again. If you are considering hiring him, I strongly encourage you to ask difficult questions, demand complete transparency, ensure all significant decisions are thoroughly explained, and make sure your own voice remains central in every major decision affecting your future. He only care about billing you and threatening you if you question his attitude.

Prior to trial, my attorney…read morehad me sign a poorly written agreement with my ex that the judge interpreted as me assigning her $50K when it was just supposed to go into escrow. For a lawyer to screw that up was disgraceful and embarrassing. At trial, despite having proof that my ex had stolen $80K and hidden it, my attorney's timidity and disorganization lead to that information not being presented to the judge. I was in horror as I watched the firm blow the case. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your legal representation.

He will sweet talk you at the start of your case only to deliver a nightmare. He doesn't reply to emails. He doesn't care about you. He won't protect you. Near the end of my case he tried to force me to settle with the following terms: $0 child support Tax credit alternating years + Parent coordinator (which I did not want) $0 legal fees Patrick and I had a disagreement over those terms. I called him lazy and he withdrew from my case leaving me without a lawyer 3 weeks before trial. After Patrick withdrew from my case, because he couldn't handle being called lazy, I obtained a new lawyer and the case was settled with the following terms: $710 child support Tax credit EVERY year NO Parent coordinator $5000 Legal fees I don't even understand why a supposedly legitimate attorney would have tried to force me to settle on much worse terms, especially after I paid him tens of thousands of dollars. I gave Patrick over $20,000 to do absolutely nothing for me. He only cares about his money and he will not help you. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU NOT TO HIRE THIS SHADY, LAZY, MONEY HUNGRY, UNTRUSTWORTHY ATTORNEY!!!

But both behaved unethically and unprofessionally. As my case drew to a close, I raised concerns with Kristin about the quality of legal services I had received. In short, the judge's position contradicted the vast majority of Kristin's legal advice. Rather than discuss my concerns, Kristin filed a motion to withdraw, leaving me without representation only days before trial. Because I followed Kristin's advice, my ex-wife's harmful parenting remains unchecked, and I am in no better position to help my children. Follow-up attempts with the firm's Client Care division, with management partner Kimberly Gray, and with founding partner Joseph Cordell were unhelpful. I posed questions about quality of legal advice, commitment to clients, major discrepancies between projected and actual costs, truth in advertising, value of services, and the client care process. Across emails and phone calls, my concerns were repeatedly sidestepped, and in every interaction I was treated more like a witness to be cross-examined than a paying client. When the Missouri Bar became involved, both Kristin and Cordell & Cordell refused to cooperate. I cannot recoup my investment, nor can I reverse the negative outcome for my children. But if you're reading this, you can avoid my missteps. Dads: don't hire Kristin, nor any Cordell & Cordell attorney. You cannot count on them.

We filled those out and all seemed well at first. I apparently called too many times and left five messages with no one returning my call regarding any progress. My siblings were curious if we even had a case so after leaving yet another message with their call service this morning, Chris Wright himself calls to offer his condolences as my father just passed and to convey that he too had his father pass due to circumstances at a nursing facility...what I can only assume he meant as a 'bonding' type statement. However, after telling me his not-so-similar story he proceeded to terminate our relationship as I had written an all caps letter to him directly stating that we didn't appreciate being back burnered. No swearing - just sheer frustration. It was then he informed us that just to receive medical records it takes 120-150 days. A FACT he never once bothered to convey. But for the record if you were considering this firm for your lawsuit, I recommend shopping around as my father passed within the last two weeks and he actually called to fire us but felt the need to bond with me in sharing his late father's demise first. Who does that?!?! Talk about a low-life, underhanded, mercenary tactic. Great for the courtroom - not for the client. And to add insult to injury he actually used the phrase that I was hostile in my email while he was doing me a 'favor' and not charging me. 98% of all lawyers market with, and Page Law does as well, that the 'first consultation is free'. So he also considers his job doing you a personal favor. Chris Wright I would consider lower than the ER doctor that let my dad's brain swell for three hours as the ER doctor was most likely busy and may have had an excuse but Chris Wright of Page Law firm just wanted to be unkind and nasty. If you wish to fire me, fire me as a client but don't attempt to bond with me before you fire me with your sad tale of your late father. What a lowlife tactic by a...you fill in the blank. St. Louis is full of good lawyers - shop wisely!
