This Vet has been fantastic for us and our puppy. We began going to Englewood Vet because we researched many options in the area, and found this practice to be the most state of the art, and advanced practice around. Dr. Ezik truly cares for our puppy. We live a block away from the practice and when I go on walks with my puppy, she actually stops by the door and tries to get in! She enjoys it! We have had a number of procedures because my morkie has been sick from eating things she shouldn't have such as chewing gum - we called Dr. Ezik on his emergency line at around 10pm and he called us back minutes later. When my puppy had an ear infection, they not only took care of her, but helped administer the medication everyday because she wouldn't let us do it at home. They truly go above and beyond for the care of the pets. Two other things that I'd like to mention as well. Their staff is utterly fantastic. I have never walked by their office without one of the Vet assistants waving and asking me how my puppy is doing. They really do care. They've hosted events for the NJSPCA to promote awareness about animal issues in New Jersey, and they do it because they care. I noticed some reviews mentioning that the care was a bit more expensive and unnecessary testing. I cannot disagree more. Firstly, if your pet is part of your family and you want the best in class care, you would want to ensure the pet is being tested for any relevant issues that may be of concern - just as you would have done for yourself if you were not feeling well and at a physicians office or a hospital. Secondly, these tests help determine if there are any secondary issues affecting your pet, and the Vet wants to ensure the pet is getting the best care. As a side recommendation, I purchased Pet Insurance through a separate company I had researched, and this Vet office is extremely helpful about submitting our claims - we generally receive our reimbursement check in the mail within 2 weeks or so. When you have pet insurance, you don't second guess because of monetary reasons whether to go to the vet if your pet is sick - because you will be paid back! I'm sure if you had strep throat you wouldn't hesitate to go to the doctor for antibiotics, especially if you have regular health insurance. The same principal applies if you truly care for your pet. read more

So happy we found this place! They take such good care of our babies (2 cats). The place is covid safe. Small parking lot but if full we always find parking on the side street. They saved my cat who had cancer due to a bad spay. They were so great throughout the process and understanding. Staff is great and so is the veterinarian and the surgeon. Its cute inside too. Would give it zero stars if i could TBH. Make no mistake about this place-- they are 100% driven by one thing only and that's maximizing profits. If you do not have pet insurance be prepared to financially struggle in order to give your pet the care they require. One annual check up visit and poof, 600$ gone just like that. Then they advised me I would need a follow up visit which would include series of tests that would run me up just over 900$. If you live paycheck to paycheck like me; this is devastating. I think to myself "you know what fine, of course im gonna go thru with the treatment, it's my best friend" So i schedule the premium follow up and brace myself for financial turmoil to follow. But then, the morning of the appointment, i woke up extremely sickened with a Covid-19 infection i must've picked up at work. I call this vet to reschedule my appointment as i lay in bed feeling like death. You know what the receptionist said to me?? You ready for this Yelp? "We're going to have to charge you a 150$ cancellation fee" For christs sake. I recently switched to Englewood Veterinary Center after moving to the area and have been very happy with the care and service that I have received. The staff at the front desk are extremely courteous and helpful and Dr. Esik truly cares about the health of your pet. Dr. Ezik and his team have been a life saver for my pets during the pandemic. With the safety Precautions, I'm not able to go in with my pets. But I know that they not only being giving the most competent veterinarian care, they are also provided with the love, compassion and comfort by Dr. Ezik and his team in my place. Johanna is always willing to provide empathetic care recommendations and advice for many years now. She is truly a gem. Norda, whom I've have the pleasure with interacting with just recently, is a definite asset to the team with her follow-up communications and scheduling. With Dr. Ezik, he is patience and very experienced. He takes the time out to explain everything to me and answers all of my questions with thoughtfulness and ease of time. EVC's poor practice nearly killed our 7 year old dog...after weeks of treating him for a inner ear infection and him just getting worse we brought him to another facility who performed a full body exam (something this vet DIDN'T DO even after multiple trips back with the dog not getting better) and instantly diagnosed him with a auto immune reaction that had inflamed his entire skeletal system causing him extreme pain (something EVC said he was not in)...practice is fine for general animal maintenance (ex. shots) but go elsewhere if your dog is ever sick read more

Relatively new Veterinary clinic right in downtown Englewood, NJ. Great front office person and way above average veterinarian, Dr. Ezik. Professional setting and would highly suggest the location to someone in the middle of an animal emergency or for routine visits. Dr. Ezik killed my dog. When we went in, he said that my dog had to get oral surgery. He quoted that it would be around $800. In fact, he charged over $1600. Immediately after the surgery, my dog stopped being able to hold his urine or stand up correctly. In his followup, Dr. Ezik said it was likely a urinary infection and charged another $100 to check for an infection. I took him to another vet who said that he most likely got a stroke while under anesthesia. I had to put him down soon after as he couldn't even eat any more, due to the brain damage from the stroke. If you care about your pet, do not take it to this place. All Dr. Ezik cares about is getting as much money out of you as possible. read more

Not a warm and friendly vet. I feel like vets need to have compassion and good bed side manner, just like doctors for humans. He rushed us when we asked questions and on one occasion, we had to come back because he wasn't even there and his staff could not administer the type of shots my dog needed so it was a wasted trip.Plus, parking is a nightmare. Dr. Ezik and all of the staff at this immaculate facility are just wonderful!!! I have been coming here for 2 years now and am so impressed with my experience. I recently brought my 11 year old cat in for his annual physical. Dr. Ezik noticed some gum swelling and tartar on his teeth, and recommended that I bring him back in ASAP for teeth cleaning--which for cats involves general anesthesia, plus a day of waiting around for the word to come back in and pick up your cat. As I had just undergone some knee surgery I wasn't too mobile, and initially I told Dr. Ezik that I wouldn't be able to bring my cat in for the teeth cleaning given the amount of back-and-forth necessary to transport the cat to the vet's office and then pick him back up. To my utter surprise Dr. Ezik offered to pick my cat up and then drop him off, essentially giving me door-to-door service at no extra charge!!!! Truly, Dr. Ezik and his staff go the extra mile in assuring that both you and your pet are healthy and comfortable. And, my cat's teeth are sparkling clean (which the before and after pics provided by Dr. Ezik clearly demonstrate ^_^!). Bring your animal companions here. You will both leave happy! read more

The best. A little out of the way they take as much time as you need. The Dr is very knowledgeable and uses photos, diagrams, charts, models, etc to explain procedures. They did a great job with my dogs teeth and explained very carefully why some teeth needed to be extracted and why they chose not to extract others. I bet another vet would have done as many extractions as remotely justifiable for the additional fees. Pay these guys well and give them the time they need to care for your pet properly. read more

Dr.Ezik TRULY cares about the pet.! Took our pet here for a surgery last year and it turned out wonderful,...we were hesitant at first due to her old age but he made us feel very comfortable and took great care of her. He is very attentive, compassionate and gives a thorough explanation bout the pets diagnosis and prognosis. Would DEF recommend him to anyone that wants to have a trust worthy vet. I just had my first experience with Dr. Nurhan Ezik at Englewood Veterinary Center. The center is very clean and organized with state-of-the-art machines. Includes an examination office, surgery room, ultrasound room and high-tech equipment. The staff is very friendly and courteous -- they truly make your pet and you feel at home. You are greeted with a smile and sent off with a smile. Dr. Nurhan Ezik himself is very knowledgeable in his field and took the time to examine and explain the examination and consultation. I highly, highly recommend him. My cat, who is normally afraid of strangers, did not once attempt to even run away -- she sensed and put her trust in him, like the way I did. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ezik and his wonderful staff. My large black five-year-old cat, Jeter, became listless and stopped eating, and from the moment I first brought him to Englewood Veterinary Center everyone was totally focused on getting him back to good health. Due to the medical knowledge and compassion of Dr. Ezik, Jeter is back to his old self. Everything was thoroughly explained and all questions were patiently answered. I have been taking my oldest dog, Jack Jack, to Dr. Ezik for almost 5 years now and it has been the best decision I have made for my dogs. Jack Jack has had many health problems from hernias to broken teeth and every single time, Dr. Ezik and his entire staff has treated him like their own. The office is so clean and high tech that no matter what you need from X-rays, to ultrasounds, he can safely perform them for you without having to be referred to another facility. For the surgeries, he even uses anesthesia that allows your babies to bounce back quicker and not feel sedated the entire day. Now that we have a new puppy who gets into everything she's not supposed to, of course the only vet I will ever trust is Dr. Ezik. Around 9pm tonight, my puppy swallowed one of my antibiotics. After two unsuccessful attempts at making her vomit, I called Dr. Ezik and literally, 15 minutes later, Johanna (one of the veterinary technicians whom I would also trust with my own life) was in the office ready to help my baby. I will never be able to thank them enough for all they have done for my babies over the years and will forever be grateful! read more

DO NOT USE THIS VET! Took my kitten in for a standard neuter. All seemed well until 10 days after neuter cat became sick. Called docs emergency line, didn't get a call back. Went in next day, doc said cat looked fine...All they did was take the e-collar off. Did not do an exam to re-check. NADA. I mentioned that the cat seemed hot the previous day and lethargic... FINALLY, he took his fever (just to make me feel better he said).. Kitten had fever of 104. Stayed in hospital for one day and was sent home. Following night, he didn't seem right again.. took him to a new wonderful vet... who did multiple tests on kitty and kept him for a few days. I believe the doc knew he should not have done this surgery, because after I declined I got daily calls from the Doc himself, not just his staff (who are very sweet young ladies)... after I took the cat to a different vet... After receiving paperwork from Englewood Vet, found out that kitty had been sick BEFORE the neuter with elevated white blood cells and this vet neutered him anyway.. stressing his sick body more... he's now been diagnosed with FIP... and is at death's door. This vet CLEARLY did not carefully examine his reports before the initial service.. and even the followup care was poor. Ive never had a pet before and i trusted this guy. I should have known better. On my first visit he tried to push an expensive monthly dewormer and insurance. My cat has NEVER been the same since visiting Dr. Ezik and I REGRET ever going there. When I tried to tell them what happened and asked for a refund he send me a long email stating that FIP was a genetic disease etc...after i send another email about his lack of follow-up care, and his negligence about performing the surgery, he didn't have an answer and sent me to his insurance company. TERRIBLE. KITTEN IS DYING SOON because of this surgery this vet did. Cannot say anything nice about him. The best thing I can say is that the staff is nice. He is shady and services totally messed up my cat. read more
