However, I began sitting on the back patio in April of 2024 to watch the rain. During an average-to-heavy rainfall I noticed water pouring over a section of gutter at the back of my home. Later I verified there are no blockages, so I began investigating. I compared my home to the nearby neighbors who also had gutters installed, but by other companies. That's when I noticed six to eight downspouts on homes even smaller than mine. Mr. Phillips installed a total of four downspouts, so the problem became obvious. I called Mr. Phillips on May 2nd and explained the situation. He explained there must be a downspout every 40 feet. He remembered me and said to text him my information, which I did so immediately. I followed up with another polite and tactful text on May 6th and again on May 8th, but he has yet to respond as of May 26th. Incidentally, from the nearest downspout to the next in both directions, there is 62 feet and 77 feet respectively; far more than the 40 feet he mentioned. I went ahead and installed another downspout myself, as I can no longer wait. Therefore, I will no longer hire Steven Phillips LLC for any future work, nor will I ever recommend him to anyone else. I was approved for a VA grant to do the conversion. I set out to obtain quotes from multiple contractors. I hired CTG after meeting the supervisor John Roberts. He made it clear that the company would make sure my safety was priority and he assured me he could work with disabled veterans to meet their custom needs. A bench seat was designed to run along the back wall of my shower and grab bars were added in multiple locations in case of a vertigo spell. A handicap height toilet, and slip resistant vinyl tile was also needed. A man named Chris was the main contractor to do labor and installation. He is a seasoned professional and did a superb job laying my slip resistant vinyl bathroom tile. He knew exactly how to lay the tile pattern to make it look fantastic, and paid attention to detail. My shower and the seat he installed is sturdy and beautiful. My shower, tile, and handicap height toilet I am very pleased with. The supervisor John, made sure that I was completely satisfied with the final job. Before the job was started, I was able to meet with the company owner Bobby. He was friendly and answered all my questions. I felt confident in the company from start to finish. I think that this company's goal is customer satisfaction, and CTG as a team accomplished that for me. I will be hiring them again for future home renovation projects and will recommend them to my fellow veterans who may need their homes adapted.
