My third stop was McClutcheys. First off, the owner, Samantha, was a joy and very helpful. McClutcheys has been around since 1934 and they focus on quality first and it shows. Every item I tried on, I loved. I ended up with 3 items that I purchased and I could have easily found more. If you are looking for cute clothes that are one of a kind and with quality, this is the place for you. The prices are reasonable for a boutique. Gliks just carries such a unique selection of clothes, accessories, and a ton of other goodies that just speaks to everything I want in life so perfectly and I can't find a better curated collection of goodies anywhere else! This Gliks is located right next to the pier/bridge in downtown Charlevoix, so it's super easy to access from/to the Charlevoix lighthouse and basically within walking distance of everything in this area! The selection is wonderful, the staff were so friendly, this time I picked up a Carhartt hat (that I've never seen anywhere else) and a couple pairs of Goodr sunglasses (that I also have never seen elsewhere!!). Three other shops in town, on Front street, carry Kuhl brand clothing and none of them would order the pants for me. I walked in and talked to Joe about ordering them and "No problem!" was the response I got. He ordered them for me on the spot. The next day our flight department, was told to relocate to Florida for the winter a week early. I walked in to talk to Joe about not being in town to pick the pants up and he offered to ship the pants to me, free of charge! Additionally, I spotted a blue Kuhl pullover that I had purchased in grey a few days earlier in another store. I had also asked this store if they could order it for me in blue and got another "No" response so I purchased the grey one. I talked to Joe about this also and he asked if I'd worn it yet which I had not. He said, "Bring it in, I'll exchange yours for a blue one." Again, awesome! Thanks Joe. This establishment shamelessly took advantage of him, charging an outrageous $600 for items that would cost no more than $75-$100 at any other reputable shop. My father-in-law, who was traveling with us for a wedding, needed a bow tie and suspenders for a wedding that evening. Instead of being treated with the dignity and respect that any customer deserves, he was exploited like a desperate tourist. He told them that his son was getting married and that he had left his bow tie and suspenders back in Rochester MI. They laughed and joked that it would cost him but insisted he was in good hands. They were not kidding, about it costuhg him. They sold him suspenders that didn't even work with his pants, further highlighting their lack of integrity and customer care. They sold him cuff links that would have been maybe $50-60 at a men's warehouse which were not needed since his shirt had buttons in place already or optional slots for the cuff. They also talked him into buying much more expensive suspenders that didn't even work with his pants. Even as he checked out he nervously asked if the price was serious as it was over $600 and when he was told yes felt pressured into completing the transaction. It's disgraceful to see a business engage in such predatory practices, especially towards an elderly man in his 60s. This isn't just bad business; it's outright robbery. Shame on this store for their unethical behavior. I urge others to steer clear and take their business elsewhere. This store does not deserve your patronage. You guys are DISGUSTING! You should take back the two unused items at the least and he'll keep his $150 bow tie
