A MUST DO! 4 & 1/2 STARS! They have Free Parking here! Native Views is a Souvenir, Native American…read more& Retro Merchandise Shop that is located about 100 miles or so outside of Boston. It was formerly called The Big Indian Shop. Places like this used to dot the roadsides of America everywhere. Sadly lots of these places have vanished. Before you enter the store, you've got to check out the exterior of the place. There is a GIANT 20 Foot Tall Native American Indian Statue in Costume. What a Cool Roadside Attraction built in 1974 by Mr Rodman Shutt. There is also a smaller Indian, 2 Tepees, a Large Bear, Horse, & Deer Statues too. Now step on into the shop & check out all the Unique Items. Native Views carries Local Maple Syrup, Souvenirs, Honey, Indian Moccasins & Boots, Fudge, Retro Toys like Slingshots, Merch from The Mohawk Trail, Jewelry, Native American Dolls, Western Hats, Glassware,, T Shirts, Jackets, Knives, Beaded Belts, Incense, Native American Pottery, Cold Drinks in the frig, Ornaments, Arrowheads, Books & other Cool Stuff. Since you are in the area you've got to stop by The Bridge of Flowers, The Glacial Potholes, the Town of Shelburne Falls, The Mohawk Trail & the Waterfalls. You can read my individual reviews of some of these cool spots too for more detailed information. It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really Rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

Sawmill is a truly magical place. Located in Montague, Sawmill is located in the mill area that…read morecontains The Alvah Stone. It's a small but mighty and lovely shop that houses products from 15+ local member artists and 20+ local consignors. The artists take turns running the shop and are very proud of their co-op. If you're even so much as nearby Montague, you simply must stop here. It's really hard to describe such a place. Its jam-packed full of expertly curated paintings, photos, jewelry, scarves, knick-knacks, sculptures, cards and more. No two artists are the same. You can get lost for a very, very long time browsing the selections and getting to know the works of each artist. I mean, just look at my photos below. It is too much fun to turn the corner in the gallery and stumble across something new and colorful. I'm really regretting not purchasing a few wearable art pieces and a pen-and-ink art print of an owl. If you need a gift for someone (or you're like me, and every day is Treat Yo' Self day), Sawmill is a no-brainer of a stop. Not only are you getting an exceptional, handmade gift, but you're supporting local artists and keeping this interesting collaboration thriving. The prices range significantly, but everything here is affordable, and more importantly, uniquely interesting. Love, love, love!
