Our stay at Wigwam Western Summit was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every detail felt thoughtfully curated--the views are breathtaking, and the hospitality is genuinely warm and welcoming. Since we visited in mid-April, the cabins weren't open for the season, so we stayed in the Bear's Den--a cozy studio tucked beneath the main lodge. It was absolutely perfect, with stunning, unobstructed views of Mount Greylock and the valley that made the experience feel even more special. Perched at the top of Florida Mountain, the setting alone is worth the visit, but it's the care and attention behind the experience that truly sets this place apart. We left feeling completely recharged and already talking about when we can come back. If you're even considering staying here--do it. You won't regret it. read more

Really cute shop, with strong hot and cold coffee selection, and baked goods. Lots of handmade items like beautiful knit hats, maple syrup, soaps, and much more. Definitely worth a stop in while leaf peeping. The view is spectacular! Excellent cold brew. On the porch they have a selection of hand painted rocks that are "leave one, take one", and many have little sayings painted on them. Very cute. read more

Wigwam perched just two miles from our lodging on the Whitcomb summit, near Hair pin turn, is a good place to stop for coffee, snacks, and souvenirs in the town of North Adams. Today they have just switched ownership from Lea and Wayne to Kelly and Alan. Good luck on your new endeavors! read more

We stayed here for the weekend to accommodate our visit to North Adams to see Guster! The location, shop, and cabin was absolutely perfect and so well curated for a weekend away. Kelly provided constant communication and she also added some personal touches for our anniversary. We had a great cabin and a firepit/hammock to ourselves. Went here back in October as our first stop when visiting the area. If you want coffee with a view there's no better place to go!! Staff was friendly - the property had just been sold - so at the time there was no breakfast sandwiches available. If you're out leaf peeping I would definitely recommend stopping here. If you are driving this route over the mountain, you must stop here. We did it impromptu and oh my! What a wonderful surprise. The store is very eclectic inside with many great products including authentic boba tea. Yes Boba tea. The owner was super friendly and made me the most unique boba tea I have ever had. We had great conversations because we stopped by at a slow time so were the only customers in the store. We meant to pop in for 5 mins but stayed for 15 because we were enjoying ourselves so much. We will definitely stop in again the next time we come through this way. Very clean bathroom too. read more

Stopped in at the Wigwam Western Summit a few weeks back in September (2024) when we heard an acquaintance of ours had just purchased the place - of course we wanted to show our support, so we took a road trip to North Adams to pop in. Surprisingly, I'm up in that area quite a bit and had never heard of the place, or simply sped by it a hundred times, so I was as curious as I was excited for Alan and Kelly. The place is a must see if you haven't been there. Amazing views, quaint, well-kept cottages for rent, super cool gift shop. I can't speak to the wine or the tea - but I did have coffee, and I was impressed because each cup is freshly brewed by hand and tasted great. I know Alan and Kelly will do great up there and I encourage anyone reading this to take a drive up to visit - especially during the foliage season. With all of the corporate-run, impersonal and carbon-copy business models out there, this is still one place that will remain a mom and pop thanks to Alan and Kelly. Great job guys! The thing about this place is... nestled at the peak of a mountain facing west the sunsets and views are spectacular, the cabins are cute and very clean, the coffee and breakfast are delightful, the hammocks and fire pits are relaxing, my dog was warmly welcomed... and I'm not even describing the best part. The best part was the warm, attentive hospitality from Lea and her family. They've brought this place to life by filling it with theirs. We recently stopped in on our way to Williamstown. The shop and summit were a lovely treat to our drive from Wachusetts Mountain. Wigwam was acquired recently by a family from California who has lovingly restored it. The shop overlooks the picturesque summit. There are lovely bric-a-brac items for purchase. You will find something nice for home or a friend. They also have delightful beers and wines and snacks. It was nice to grab a glass of wine and sit outside. We sat outside with bicyclists and enjoyed the perfect weather. Do have a stop on your next trip to the Berkshires! Your Instagram followers will hit the heart on your pictures. Truly America's Switzerland! Lea was the hostess with the mostest!! Lea is full of information and knowledge about the history of the Berkshires. From the moment we checked in, Lea personally showed us around the grounds and the path that leads to the trails. We were offered seclusion or company with an attentive host! We stayed in the Mahican Cabin and what an incredible view from the veranda to the fire pit, the Adirondack chairs and the hammock! The cabin was spotless and there's shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap; something I didn't expected. We stayed the 3rd week of May and will definitely be making more trips and memories there! Did I mentioned the Lea's delicious egg sandwich and coffee?? It's a must-try!! What a cute little coffee/gift shop. It sits high above a beautiful vista. Cute tables with amazing views to sit at and enjoy your coffee. The maple coffee I had, actually tasted like maple. The gift choices were cute and the owner was very nice and had a lot of helpful information for you. She makes great breakfast sandwiches and treats. She also runs a little cabin rental on the property and makes breakfast for them. Located just a minute from the hairpin turn. You could spend the day here. read more

This place is outstanding! The work that has been done to restore this building from 1913, is beautifully done. We stopped here along our motorcycle ride, for some coffee to warm up and a break. This was hands-down the best coffee I've had in a long time, I love how expertly it's crafted right in front of you. A true find! When the gas station was a bust for some breakfast we kept riding and stumbled upon this absolutely gorgeous spot! The staff was so friendly and the coffee was exactly what I needed and delicious. Highly recommend the bacon, egg and cheeses and enjoy the view while you eat. Lots of cool stuff in the gift shop too and a very clean bathroom which is nice change to the gas stations! I stopped here on a drive through Western Massachusetts on the way to Vermont. It wasn't preplanned but we had to pull over when we saw the views here. The shop was great, there were so many great souvenirs and many of them were designed by the owner herself. After doing some shopping, we were able to chat with the owner and learned some history of the shop and the area. She also gave us tons of recommendations for places to stop on the rest of our drive. Even if you don't like mountains or coffee or talking to people, your opinion on everything will change at this place. The most beautiful place in northeast that I've ever visited. Extremely scenic views from the store and the owner is the most amazing person. She loves what she does and it shows. She was so sweet and gave us the history of the place and of the store and she was just extremely friendly and great to talk to. If you like coffee, she hand makes these drip coffees and you need to be patient but the end product is well worth it. Also try the whoopie pie. It's kinda like a Swiss roll but combined with everything that the place has going on, you'll surely love it. read more

The cabins are charming, and the store is a lovely stop along the road to grab a coffee/wine/snack and enjoy the view. We stayed in the Mohawk cabin which had a very comfortable king size bed. Unfortunately, the bathroom was super tiny and difficult to maneuver in. The shower was also very very small. That's information I didn't see on their site anywhere, and just wanted folks to know before they booked. But if you're looking for a beautiful spot to see the sunset. This place has cool view, some good food-we had the chocolate fondue that was a first for me...and they had a live singer come in and play some covers which made for a nice atmosphere. In short-I like the place. The owner clearly does everything she can to keep customers happy as she bounces around taking pictures of the tourists that pass through. I really would like to check out one of their cabins sometime as it's an interesting spot. read more
