We stayed here for the weekend to accommodate our visit to North Adams to see Guster! The location, shop, and cabin was absolutely perfect and so well curated for a weekend away. Kelly provided constant communication and she also added some personal touches for our anniversary. We had a great cabin and a firepit/hammock to ourselves. It was a weekend fit for a rugged king and hippie queen! The location was absolutely perfect! You have to visit!

Went here back in October as our first stop when visiting the area. If you want coffee with a view there's no better place to go!! Staff was friendly - the property had just been sold - so at the time there was no breakfast sandwiches available. If you're out leaf peeping I would definitely recommend stopping here. The roads are beautiful and the views are worth the trip !

If you are driving this route over the mountain, you must stop here. We did it impromptu and oh my! What a wonderful surprise. The store is very eclectic inside with many great products including authentic boba tea. Yes Boba tea. The owner was super friendly and made me the most unique boba tea I have ever had. We had great conversations because we stopped by at a slow time so were the only customers in the store. We meant to pop in for 5 mins but stayed for 15 because we were enjoying ourselves so much. We will definitely stop in again the next time we come through this way. Very clean bathroom too.

A must stop when you're near by Williams College, North Adams, or anywhere near the Mohawk Trail. Take a moment to sample the pour over coffee and pickup some souvenirs carefully selected local farms and wineries. Inviting venue and friendly people. Highly recommend.

Great views, great people, great local products, and great coffee. I could way too much time loooking at the unique local offerings. The mountains are fantastic inside and outside.

    Talk about a view! Stunning.

Stopped in at the Wigwam Western Summit a few weeks back in September (2024) when we heard an acquaintance of ours had just purchased the place - of course we wanted to show our support, so we took a road trip to North Adams to pop in. Surprisingly, I'm up in that area quite a bit and had never heard of the place, or simply sped by it a hundred times, so I was as curious as I was excited for Alan and Kelly. The place is a must see if you haven't been there. Amazing views, quaint, well-kept cottages for rent, super cool gift shop. I can't speak to the wine or the tea - but I did have coffee, and I was impressed because each cup is freshly brewed by hand and tasted great. I know Alan and Kelly will do great up there and I encourage anyone reading this to take a drive up to visit - especially during the foliage season. With all of the corporate-run, impersonal and carbon-copy business models out there, this is still one place that will remain a mom and pop thanks to Alan and Kelly. Great job guys! The thing about this place is... nestled at the peak of a mountain facing west the sunsets and views are spectacular, the cabins are cute and very clean, the coffee and breakfast are delightful, the hammocks and fire pits are relaxing, my dog was warmly welcomed... and I'm not even describing the best part. The best part was the warm, attentive hospitality from Lea and her family. They've brought this place to life by filling it with theirs. While they are selling it, they will be teaching the new owners everything they know-and I'm glad for that. What a gem. We will be back!

We recently stopped in on our way to Williamstown. The shop and summit were a lovely treat to our drive from Wachusetts Mountain. Wigwam was acquired recently by a family from California who has lovingly restored it. The shop overlooks the picturesque summit. There are lovely bric-a-brac items for purchase. You will find something nice for home or a friend. They also have delightful beers and wines and snacks. It was nice to grab a glass of wine and sit outside. We sat outside with bicyclists and enjoyed the perfect weather. Do have a stop on your next trip to the Berkshires! Your Instagram followers will hit the heart on your pictures. Call ahead for store hours.

We love Wigwam Western Summit! The coffee is pour over and delicious, the baked goods are homemade and the views cannot be beat.. it's so charming to enter and the selection of gifts and fun things is great. We will come back often for the apple cider maple filled donuts!!

Singularly one of the best views in Western Mass. The Wigman Western Summit is nestled above North Adams past the famous Hair-Pin Turn. Their viewing deck, though small is picture perfect! The proprietor (Lea) welcomes each guest to their shop that is filled with drinks, snacks and Merch. There is nothing like grabbing a table on a warm evening and have a cold drink as the sun sets over North Adams and Mt. Greylock. If you like sweet, their fudge is a sugar rush - but definitely don't miss out of their cold brew or fresh pour-over coffees which should satisfy anyone's tastebuds. Trying to find that perfect Berkshires Magnet, Sweatshirt or other memorabilia? Don't worry, they have got it! Note: they also have amazing one of a kind cabins to stay in but, beware if you are looking to book a weekend stay plan ahead, they sell out a year + in advance!

We made a random stop here for the view during a drive back to Boston but also took in great coffee and a fluffy, tasty, homemade breakfast sandwich. There's a great photo opp spot outside and the view from inside the store is phenomenal. The staff were very friendly and appreciative of our service. Don't sleep on this little pit stop!

    Peace.

Truly America's Switzerland! Lea was the hostess with the mostest!! Lea is full of information and knowledge about the history of the Berkshires. From the moment we checked in, Lea personally showed us around the grounds and the path that leads to the trails. We were offered seclusion or company with an attentive host! We stayed in the Mahican Cabin and what an incredible view from the veranda to the fire pit, the Adirondack chairs and the hammock! The cabin was spotless and there's shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap; something I didn't expected. We stayed the 3rd week of May and will definitely be making more trips and memories there! Did I mentioned the Lea's delicious egg sandwich and coffee?? It's a must-try!! The store is filled with lots of goodies and apparel...So you can pack light! Can't wait to go back!!

I stopped at the restaurant for the view. We decided to grab a bite while we were there. The reviews were mediocre, but we tried it anyway. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I would go there again. Ray R.

Lenox has some really cool spots and Ombra is one of them. Recommended by a local, we stopped here on Valentine's Day after our dinner for a nice glass of wine. The place was crowded but luckily a few people were leaving so we scored some seats at the bar. I ordered a glass of Nebbiolo from Italy which was good. My husband had a beer. The place is so cute and very romantic with dim lights, a great wine selection and their food looked so good. Unfortunately, we were so full that we did not end up ordering anything. Although, the french fries were calling my name. Ombra is a place that I could see us coming to almost every week and not getting tired of it. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail. This is the perfect date night spot for sure whether you start or end your evening here, you will be happy! Cheers~

What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. After the Tanglewood concert on a Sunday night, the staff recognized that many concertgoers were looking for a place to eat and graciously stayed open later to accommodate everyone. That level of customer service is rare and speaks volumes about how much they care about their guests. Outstanding food, exceptional hospitality, and an experience I'll be talking about for a long time. I can't wait to come back.

A Valentine's dinner that did not impress!…read more Valentine's has always been a very special holiday for me. My husband and I decided to spend the weekend in the Berkshires, which was lovely and quiet. I made reservations ahead of time for this highly rated wine bar and very close to where we were staying. First off, due to the previous weather/storms they had no street parking. But luckily we parked in a nearby lot. Upon arrival, the restaurant bar area was very nice and romantic. The server brought us to our table but I was a bit disappointed in the ambiance. I mean the bar area was a bit darker and the table that we were being seated at had a lot of light. Now, don't get me wrong, It was Valentine's day which screams romantic and there was no romantic vibe to this restaurant. After mentioning this to our server she did move us and turned down the lights a bit which was much better. Food/Drinks: The menu was not big at all which was nice. I ordered a dirty martini to start which needed more olive juice and my husband ordered a rum cocktail which he enjoyed. For starters, I ordered their Over Roasted Parsnip which was very good and filling. My husband had their Beet Salad which he said was excellent. For entrees, I had their Seared Duck Breast. I really enjoyed the caramel sauce but did not love the duck itself. My husband had the Oven Roasted Chicken Statler which was very dry he could barley eat it. Also, since this is a wine bar I will say the wines were nothing special which was also a bit disappointing. I wish they had something unique and special to offer especially being on a Valentine's Day. I feel this place may be more of a summer destination. Service: Service was excellent I will say. Our server was always asking how things were, checking on us and if we needed anything and asking about any additional drinks. etc. Also, the Manager came over to ask how everything was but he spefically looked at me. I think my husband would've mentioned his meal being dry if he looked at him as well but my husband could've spoken up too. We did say something to our server after she asked about the chicken dish, which they ended up taken off the bill which was very nice. Overall: I didn't love Alta Wine Bar my first time here, but I would come back in the spring or summer months when the weather is warm to try it again. Cheers~
