I finally decided on a date . I then sent her my design and it was approved to use. My class was at 12pm on Sunday the 17th and it took about 2 &1/2 hrs to get finish my design . I will say it started off ruff for me trying to grasp the instructions but, once I did I was able to navigate the design . The advise they give is to " Trust the Process" & I can't stress that enough ! After you're done she'll email you once the rug is ready to be picked up . It still has to be trimmed etc. This was an Amazing activity to do solo , for a date night or even as a group . You can also do this family style with the kids. I'll def be back . I def feel like you get your value you paid . The shop is very cute and I look forward to trying some other designs. They will be offering new services this summer like creating a stool design etc so def keep your eye out for updates.

This is a great way to get an introduction to various art forms with low commitment. Doesn't matter if you are "talented" or not. I think it's not so much about the end product, but more of the process of creating that is important. Online registration is simple, and materials and tools are available for use during class. Some upcoming classes include scarf dyeing, freeform baskets, and paper marbling. I found the classes to be reasonably priced--others I have looked into were $40 a session, which I thought was a bit much. Sonja explained the process simply in the way only an expert could. I needed advice on my earrings, and she helped me add a pop of green. Sonja was very informative, friendly, and encouraging. She managed people working on different steps or different speeds well. I never felt rushed during the process. Some people were back at class for a second time, and there were a lot of new people. There were eight people in this class. You got to make two necklaces, two pairs of earrings, or one of each. I made one of each. She had gold and silver colors. I only looked at silver, but she had teardrop earrings and pendants and circle earrings and pendants, some small and some large. For the decoration, she had a lot of different flowers, leaves, gems, and glitter, what looked like stickers but were probably not, and other items. She let us take pictures of the products she used in the workshop (ex. the brand of resin she used). It's a lovely shop with a lot of lovely products to buy but also no pressure to buy. I did end up buying some coin dishes for my desk though and a book. You can bring food, and I did. Autumn and Ro is located between Florida Wax House and Glass Orlando, and there is free parking in the back. They're right across from Santiago's Bodega. 10/10 would recommend. They also do a bunch of other classes as well.

The store newly opened just about 4 months ago, so I am glad I walked by this store on accident.

We toured the facilities, the workshops, we actually sat down for some demos from the visual arts department, and then gathered around a kiln for a raku ceramics demo, which was ideal on a cold winter afternoon (winter in Florida?). Also, we were able to visit the gallery, which was hosting a photograph exhibit on the history of turn of the century Lake Apopka, about 40 miles away due West, and that was very interesting and enlightening. We also printed a poster, among other things. Personally, I think it was fun to talk/meet some of the faculty, not that I am immediately looking for a new teacher, but it is good to pick one who has some similarities, or none at all. Challenge yourself. After this visit, I will consider taking some classes here. Or come to more events. I really like Crealdé.

I called today (9 days before the first day) and I was told that it was too late and the last day was Yesterday (10/09/23) (10 days before first session). I pointed out the policy and was told that "session" didn't mean class and it was incorrect so I couldn't get my money back. This is fraudulent. I will be contacting the correct state department for this. This is extremely unprofessional and clearly lacks clarity. If your policy is outdated, correct it on the website. I had peeked into Artroom several times finally last year I signed up for a class - the format was really nice ( adult oil ) first weeks all newbies were given a beginners project and Linda walked us through it in detail sharing wonderful tips that I did not even get from Valencia professors - no offense - most importantly her expertise in teaching and reading the class is incredible - she knows each student their capabilities strengths individually and coaches accordingly - giving honest constructive feedback in a very warm manner. People joke that it is a lot cheaper than therapy and works even better. After the initial project everyone works on a project they want and Linda coaches everyone individually on their projects finding bringing resources - recommending references. It is a group class so this level of individualism surprised me in a good way. My only regret is that I did not find artroom sooner
