This was the only bad meal I had in Italy, and the only place that made me feel strange as a solo female. I was trying to choose a place for dinner and was drawn in by the warm and well-lit patio, and the live piano. I thought it would be a nice restaurant, but got very strange vibes from the staff. Not sure if it's because I was solo or American. I politely ordered wine along with salad and Cacio e Pepe. The salad was nice and fresh but the pasta was unappetizing, harder than al dente, slopped into a metal dish. The balance of flavors in the sauce was not right. I could only eat a couple of bites and had to stop. I think they were offended, but it was almost inedible. I was sad that I made a poor choice with my limited time, so I went back to my restaurant from the day before that made me feel very welcome, to save the evening with limoncello and dessert. read more

Loved my experience here! My husband, friends and I all came here for a late dinner and we enjoyed the food and spirits. Our server was very well versed in English and that helped our experience, as well! We started with an Antipasti and it was very good! The ricotta on the plate was the best ricotta I've ever had. The 24 month old pecorino cheese was also divine! The bean dip was good too! Everything tasted good! My husband's pasta carbonara was good, but he still ranted and raved about the carbonara at the Bruno in Positano. I ordered the fettuccine Ragu & it was yummy, nothing super special, but still very good. All the flavors came together really well. We were served with complimentary cookies and little shots of a bittersweet liquor for digestive at the end of our meal. Then, as we received our bill, I showed our server the 15% off discount for checking in on Yelp and the mood kind of shifted after that. The man at the register came over to check my phone and see where I checked in, then he proceeded to follow up on it over the phone and handed me a new bill with 15% off, but he did not seem pleased about it. I assumed they're not used to seeing that discount and it may have come off insulting, but it was not my intention to insult anyone by checking in on Yelp and using the 15% off offer. We ordered Cesar salad a Greek salad neither of which were made.correctly the Greek salad was missing half of its ingredients according to what was advertised on the menu. We had a fabulous experience here eating outside! Our server was the best (kind of like a young Joe Pesci) ... charming, funny, helpful, really great in every way. He even took my husband inside to the bar area to show him the wine that he ordered to make sure it was what he wanted (and we aren't fussy!), kind of in a you're my friend way. The fried and grilled artichoke appetizers, specials of the evening, were and out of this world and what I remember the most. Definitely a tourist restaurant in a touristy part of the city, but that's why we come to Rome in the first place isn't it? We were a group of 5 and wanted to eat outside. No gimmicks here. The menu is out front, the staff is courteous, spoke very good English and took the time to explain the specials as if we were their first customers of the night. Rickety tables, but that tends to be the norm in the area, and you could just consider that it adds to the atmosphere. We all ordered pizza and we were all happy with them. Found a gem with outside seating, live music and amazing service! Me and my friends didn't like this restaurant at all, compared to a local place with alot of locals on the terrace near the Pantheon. the food was bad,overpriced and not fresh at all. The food was good, but the wait service was horrendous. We waited ten minutes for menus and an hour for food. They forgot to bring us the water we ordered, and we were offered several other tables' food. In the end, we were not brought what we ordered and charged the difference. Towards the end of our dinner, my husband started to feel unwell. I asked for the check and informed the waiter of this, hoping to speed things up. After waiting another 10 minutes, I sent my husband home on his own. Once the check finally came, I tried to immediately give the waiter my card which he didn't accept. He was some time in returning to the table, so I went and payed at the cashier. When I reviewed the check at home, I realized that both a 'pane e coperta' and a 'servicio' had been applied for a total of 11 euro on a 64 euro bill. From my previous experience dinning in Rome, that seems excessive. I usually enjoy a nice, leisurely dinner, but this was too much. The couple who arrived after us had ordered, received their dinner, eaten, gotten coffee, and drunk it in the time between us getting our food and me paying the check. read more

I came in about a month ago with my dad while he was visiting from the US. The place was crowded, and it seemed like we might have to sit outside (an unwelcome prospect in January), but when we told the host that we were only there for drinks, he pointed us to two armchairs not far from the bar. A pianist was playing, and there was a nice buzz of conversation in the air without being loud. We ordered two cocktails and enjoyed watching the barman, Andrea, prepare the drinks. With his spectacles and bow tie, he had the look of a 1930's speakeasy bartender and moved with very fluid precision. When we had a question about some of the digestifs, our server waved Andrea over, and he had a nice conversation with my dad. Really enjoyed this restaurant when I went with my friend and her family. The food was incredible and the wine was delicious. I am a student here, and have been looking for a restaurant that doesn't treat me like a tourist. There are so many restaurants here in Rome that try to scam you and treat you like a tourist (unfortunately) but this restaurant gave us a lot of respect and even chatted with us after. The food was delivered fast and the wine was a generous amount. The food was picture perfect, and tasted even better! I strongly recommend this place if you want a nice meal with a glass of vino! Had our last meal in Italy here and it was average compared to all the places we've eaten over the 2 weeks. Food and drinks was a little over priced for what they serve as it wasn't anything special. Service was efficient, maybe a little too efficient because as soon as you finished the plates were taken away from you even when the other people at your table hadn't finished eating.
