We got there early so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were hotel guests in the pool, including children. That's not all that conducive to relaxing unfortunately so we didn't get in the water at all. Tina also helped us order a lovely lunch from Capitol Grill and took overall very good care of us while we relaxed and waited for our spa appointments. The services: Both of us had nice services but honestly both felt we had had better for various reasons. My esthetician was good and did a very nice job but I had added on a leg scrub. The leg scrub was great but it came At the sacrifice of the hand and wrist massage you might typically get. My friend's service was good but was slow to start and the provider had some clumsiness issues and dropped items on the floor creating loud noises. The only thing that was really "bad" was the temperature of the atrium area/pool and hot tub area. It was HOT in there. It was so warm in there that we just couldn't force ourselves in the hot tub or the sauna/steam room. Tips: 1. there is street parking, which is free on Sundays 2. When you walk in, go closer to the check in desk to the second set of elevators and the spa is on the 6th floor 3. There is cold water and some cold towels in the Gym on the same floor.

The home is so beautiful and nostalgic, the wood floors creaking and popping underfoot, and this heavenly mixed scent of skincare/spa/baked goods...I couldn't always put my finger on the scent, but even as someone with sensory sensitivities, it was a sensory delight. Lani put me right at ease. She clearly knows her craft and I felt that I could trust her to perform a chemical peel on my face. The whole experience was so soothing and luxious, I nearly fell asleep. Afterwards, she made suggestions for follow up services to meet my skincare goals and some products to use in the healing process. She told me that I should have looked on the city's website to see what the city had going on for that day and that I would have to pay since I didn't give 24 hours notice and again pointed out that she left Me a message the morning of my appointment. I pointed out that her mess wasn't 24 hours before my appointment and I should be able to reschedule. She refuses to reschedule me and charged me for my missed appointment. Today, I joined my sis-in-law for her girl's day spa outing! She wanted to do something different…read morefor her birthday this year so she invited a group of ladies to join her at Elite Hands Body & Spa for a midday escape. We had a reservation scheduled at 2:00 PM and the majority of our party arrived on time. The hostess , who I believe is the business owner, was prepared for our arrival, and greeted us by showing us where to hang our coats and items in order to leave baggage and prepare for a 40 minute escape and time of relaxation. After hanging our items up, we were directed into a lounge type space, that had a charcuterie board/snacks, mimosa fixings, and complimentary cocktail glasses for each guests to enjoy and take as a souvenir after our experience. Our hostess, confirmed the type of escapes that we each booked ahead of time and then offered us either an orange mimosa or watermelon to get the party started. They played a nice music mix and offered to change it to what the birthday girl wanted to listen too if she would like. Then we were to told to mingle while our escapes were being prepared for us. Our party was then given either a satin robe to change into (if they selected the Yoni Steam service, or individually we were taken in our massage rooms if we selected a full body massage, facial Steam, there were also Sauna steams, and Facials available for this Girlfriends Escape experience. Each guest selected two services to get done, as all guests were to experience their escapes at the same time that would last roughly 40 minutes each. I was directed into a massage room with massage tech, Lanetia and this would be my very first time getting a full body massage. Lanetia, was extremely nice and calm, she was professional and I could tell she had experience. I was slightly nervous, not because I had to full undress (minus my panties) but because I have some pathology in my lower back from my old line of work. And so it causes nerve pain into my feet and I just get nervous when someone is pressing or stretching my nerves and muscles. I had nothing to worry about, I knew when she was hitting on my trigger points, and she knew when to remind me to relax whenever I would tense up. Soft music is played and you truly feel like your mind, body, and soul are being taken on this therapeutic journey. I was also booked to get the facial Steam, but due to my personal time I ended up not getting that done and leaving around 4:00 PM to go handle other things I had to do. Once my escape was over with I was directed to the lovely, bohemian bathroom which was my favorite aesthetic in the entire place. Pretty yellows, and serenity surrounded this space, and it's very instagrammable if you are into that. Total photo op! As some of us headed out earlier together, we were told to grab a goodie bag (which consisted of fuzzy socks, charcoal massage gloves, and spearmint gum), and then to pay for our services. They take credit card and cash app I think. My massage was $50 but I left a nice tip out of appreciation. This is a great experience to book for your next birthday gathering, a bridal shower, or just to get away if you need some me-time. I now see another amazing massage therapist at Indy Massage Company named Matthew. He is pretty great, and I look forward to relaxing on his table each month at IMC. He is intuitive and firm yet incredibly gentle, and I'm able to just surrender and let him work his magic. I've mostly only booked Swedish massages with him, but one time I booked a longer session where he really worked out the muscles in my upper back and shoulders, which really needed attention. Indy Massage Company is one of my favorite places in Indy, and I continue to love visiting this place when I can.
