He didn't miss! Jomar was wonderful. Son had scheduled for Swedish massage but I needed a firmer touch. Jomar graciously accommodated the change and provided the best massage I've had! He was very mindful of getting in tune with what I needed. There was no need for me to give him instruction after my initial request - he just worked his magic! I scheduled again with Jomar this week. He did not disappoint!! Deep tissue this time was perfect. I was feeling a little under the weather before my appointment, so I called to make sure it was OK if I still came in. I was encouraged to still come in since I wasn't contagious. Best decision! I wanted to provide a little update, because it's been several years since I last reviewed. Unfortunately, I no longer see Eric at Indy Massage Company, because he's doing his own thing in a space that isn't this space. (This makes me feel all sorts of feelings! Why can't things stay the same and continue forever and ever?) However, nothing is forever, darling. I now see another amazing massage therapist at Indy Massage Company named Matthew. He is pretty great, and I look forward to relaxing on his table each month at IMC. He is intuitive and firm yet incredibly gentle, and I'm able to just surrender and let him work his magic. I've mostly only booked Swedish massages with him, but one time I booked a longer session where he really worked out the muscles in my upper back and shoulders, which really needed attention. Best massage I have had! I booked a 90 minutes deep tissue with any provider since I had never been to IMC before. Mary was my therapist and her work was amazing. She was extremely professional and really took her time with each muscle area that needed attention. The full 90 minutes was spent on the actual massage which is what I appreciate most about this company and their policies. This was our 2nd time coming here-- my husband and I went for a couples' massage (both of our experiences). Today we had April & Lindsey, & they both did phenomenal. Attentive to our needs and provided incredible service. We always feel so comfortable here, from the waiting room to the service itself. The vibe is relaxing from the onset, and between the aromatherapy and music, it's just so relaxing. One thing to note is that I couldn't get the hot water kettle to work in the waiting room, but I was able to get hot water from the Keurig. I'm also unfamiliar with how such kettles work, but a sign with explanation might be helpful... unless the kettle was broken or something, I'm not sure. Called and got an appointment the same day. Customer service was wonderful. I was offered one of two open spots and after hearing about it, I got a back treatment. Jess was the esthetician. Super sweet. It was my first time having a service like this, and I enjoyed it. My biggest issue is that the description says you get a massage if hands, feet, back and neck. She gave me an excellent arm/ hand massage, and a decent back rub (not a massage but a solid rub). But my neck and feet didn't get any attention. As someone who gets regular spa treatments, I have a standard - provide the advertised service for the advertised time. I didn't get cheated of time, but I felt unsatisfied to not get the full description of the service as advertised. I paid in full and left a tip because I was accommodated in very short notice, but I just don't know that I'll return. That said, it was a cute waiting room with coffee and tea, and the front desk lady was nice. read more

I've now been to Indy Massage Company three times (all 120 minutes): first was a lymphatic drainage massage, then a CBD massage, and earlier this week both a Swedish and a foot massage (only $25 to add on for 30 minutes!) and had amazing experiences. First, it's never crowded. Usually I see only staff and the receptionist at the front desk and on the way out maybe 1-2 other customers leaving. Everyone is in a mask, sanitizer and contactless payment is available. Next, they have an awesome waiting lounge complete with complementary bottled drinks and a keurig (water, green tea, la croix, etc.) and ample seating (can easily meet social distancing and be very spaced out from others, but as I said usually there aren't others.) After experiencing their service, I believe the prices to be fair. I have always been comfortable, feel asleep, and afterwards woke up renewed and relaxed. After your service the receptionist also provides bottled water. I look forward to my monthly treats with Indy Massage Company. I recently had Courtney and she was magical! Also, the online booking process is easy and doesn't require any money. You pay after your service(s)! read more

Instantly when I walked in, the environment promotes wellness with soothing music and calming scent. The place was extremely clean. They had a product wall that included candles, face products, and oils. I purchased a few of the PCA skincare products. I really love the PCA overnight mask. It smells heavenly!!! The massage room was dim, calm, and serene. Abby was excellent. She did a great with my massage. I felt so relaxed afterwards. This was my first time doing a hot stone massage. I love love it! I have been here a couple of times a year ago and I was REALLY looking forward to my 90-min deep tissue massage. Since I've been here, I've never had an issue with any of the therapist so I booked with the first available. Unfortunately, I'd have to say I was quite disappointed. I told her multiple times that I could feel her nail when working my neck and she excused herself to file them, however, I still felt it later in the massage. When working on my focused areas (which I stated at the beginning of the massage) I had asked her multiple times to apply more pressure. I booked this massage online and left notes of my preferred pressure. I was very frustrated to have to ask her to apply more pressure and she kept using Swedish technique. She didn't check in on pressure once before me requesting her to apply more. I have referred friends to this place given my previous experience but unfortunately, this last massage left me VERY upset. I'd suggest that the therapist I had (Abi) is geared more to Swedish massage and not deep tissue. read more

We had a 60 minute Swedish couples massage with Abi A and Tyrus. They started with asking us if we had been before, giving a brief explanation as what to expect, and then asking if there were specific areas we wanted them to focus on or to just do the full body massage. I'm not usually one to write a review, but I had a wonderful experience here. I had been having some shoulder pain that between medicine, heating pads, ice packs, etc just wasn't helping. I was able to schedule an appointment very easily and get in very quickly. Michelle did a wonderful job at asking where my aches and pains were and made sure she understood what exactly I needed worked on. I had a 45 minute deep tissue massage and I could feel my shoulder knots just melting away. She made sure to ask how the pressure felt and if I wanted more or less. I entered the building and immediately felt at rest. They sourced high quality, natural, local ingredients and created such a beautiful and calming environment. This is my second time here. I've officially moved to Indiana right at the time Covid shut everything down. The first time I came here, I lived in California and my boyfriend (now husband) we're doing long distance at the time. For a very late Valentine's Day gift, I booked a couple massage. I called the office and told them about our relationship and that I wanted to make this really special. The staff were extraordinary and suggested that they could get champagne and fruit for us to enjoy before and after the massage. It was such a lovely time and the girls made it so special for us. Today (1/29/22) I'm back for a facial. The office has changed and it's super cute. The waiting area is now a dark room with music and a fire place. They offer coffee, tea, and water. My facial was phenomenally relaxing and informative. Rachel gave me some great information about my skin. She gave me a sample of their facial cleanser that's gentle enough to exfoliate everyday. This is why I keep coming back: +Easy to schedule an appointment online with tons of availability - even same day or next day if you're in a pinch. +The team keeps growing but all the therapists I've had (Demi, Tanesha, April, Brogan) are excellent at what they do. +When checking out, there isn't a pressure to schedule your next appointment on the spot and they don't try to sell you products. For me, that can be a turn-off at the end of a relaxing massage. +The loyalty punch card gets you $25 off a service every 5th punch. My most recent 60 minute deep tissue massage with Brogan really stands out. I've had many a deep tissue service, and I typically feel like I have to sacrifice relaxation time in favor of working out my knots. Her slow, steady, firm technique allowed me to relax but also feel energized. She tailored the massage to my needs and gave recommendations for future services. Most therapists simply tell me "your knots are tight, drink lots of water" and leave it at that but Brogan educated me on what my tension and stress means and what I can do to feel relief. I had a $100 gift card and I am so glad I didn't wait long to use it. The woman at reception was so sweet and made me feel like a friend and very comfortable. She made my whole check in process and tipping so easy. At check out I stopped to buy a couple of products and she still was so pleasant, helpful, and offered a very cute bag for my small purchase. My receipt was emailed to me and I was out the door after my massage and brow wax. I have never had a professional massage in my life, but Angela was so personable and her presence is so calm that I didn't feel an ounce of apprehension. And my GOD she did wonders. I let her know I've always held tension and stress in my neck and shoulders and she made sure to pay extra attention to those areas, and up into my scalp. Once on my back she was able to access those areas while they weren't stretched out like I was while lying on my stomach. It was just so nice. It's 6 hours later and I swear for the first time in MONTHS, my neck doesn't feel strained or tired. I now understand why people get regular massages now! I literally felt so comfort that I felt weightless and just at a level of relaxation I've never felt before. Colleen did my brow wax and did a great job. None of the actual waxing was painful and she took VERY special attention with tweezers to get any hairs the wax missed. I love the way my brows look now and hadn't had them done professionally in a couple of years. She offered to pluck a few upper lip hairs she had noticed. I was honestly so thankful because I hadn't seen them that morning. She also educated me on plucking or even threading instead of waxing the upper lip in the future. The reason? Hyperpigmentation can develop with some waxing which results in the appearance (shadow almost) of having a mustache. I honestly *have* noticed this very subtly happening to me over the years, so maybe something to consider. I have hyperpigmentation and am considering their services for correcting that. Today was our first visit. Everyone was kind, welcoming and very professional. We had a couples' massage with a head rubby for one and a honey facial for the other (sorry for the technical terms). I have had facials at 5 star spas that weren't as good as what Jess did. She was totally focused, spot on with pressure points, and I just felt awesome. I can't wait to schedule another appointment. This is not to say that Kat was not also fantastic. She used just the right amount of pressure throughout (sometime during a massage I've found the masseuse ends up varying the pressure and not in a good way). Good enough. One of my main hobbies is training for boxing at Title Boxing Club in Glendale. So I wind up with a lot of tension in my shoulders from using those muscles all the time. While my usual helper to get my shoulders worked out wasn't available this weekend, I looked around Indy for an easy chair massage. I don't need--or even want--much. I just want the kinks worked out of my shoulders and lats. So a chair massage is just fine for me. Indy Massage is one of the few places that lists a simple chair massage other than mall kiosks. They were friendly when I arrived, and the office is well maintained and pleasant. The massage itself wandered away from my shoulders and lats a little too much. Lots of scalp massage that wound up lightly bruising up later. I keep thinking I have bug bites on the back of my head and then remembering it's just the after effects of that scalp massage. I'm not sure what that was about as I've never had someone go above the neck with pressure like that before. Maybe that's normal. Almost got me to say "Uncle!" though as it hurt! Overall, it was workable. I might go back, since it's one of the few options available for an easy chair massage. read more

This is a love story. I have been a client of Indy Massage Company (IMC) for years.  I could and maybe should have written a glowing review years ago.  Part of me didn't want more competition for spots and another part didn't think more reviews were worth it since they already had so many good ones.  But this is a love story. I've been trying to figure out what makes IMC different.  I have seen a spectrum of therapists there, each with different techniques, but still get a consistent vibe from everyone.  A culture of compassion and positive energy move through every room.   This is not a corporate place by any stretch, but the effortless organization and natural flow of everything about a visit is professionally polished.  I find myself wondering if the consistency comes from training or rather an organic sharing of the best in therapists in this collaborative environment.  IMC is owned by massage therapists.  I am not surprised. Several of the therapists have a simple technique of always remembering to still have a finger on you when they need to reach for something.  I remember that small detail helping to make me feel connected throughout my entire stay. I have had massages around the world for many years.  I'm embarrassed to say, too many probably cost three times what they are at IMC.  I'm confident I wouldn't give up an IMC massage for any one of those. read more

AMAZING!!! As soon as you walk through the doors you immediately feel a wave of calm wash over you. It smells wonderful, they have beautiful, soft music playing and calming colors. When you sit to wait you can see beautiful greenery out the back door. I used the restroom before my massage and even the soap in the bathroom is calming. They have truly thought of every detail in this space. It's just beautiful! I had a 60 minute Swedish massage by Christina and she was WONDERFUL! She confirmed with me beforehand what she was doing. She asked if I had any problem areas that I wanted her to focus on or any areas she needed to avoid. I told her my overall goal was relaxation and that's exactly what I got. Everyone is SO incredibly nice, courteous, and they all have an amazing knowledge of alternative methods of treatment for every day ailments outside of Big Pharma.
