As a security feature, this bank wants to make sure that deposits in cash or larger withdrawal amounts are "justified". I understand being careful as I have indeed had my bank card number stolen and attempted fraudulent purchases. More than once, so I understand. That being said, once it was made clear it was me, and I was in possession of my card, I then explained that I was shopping. I am requesting additional funds from my account. Should be enough information? Oh no. The teller had to speak to the manager [twice] and specifically asked me what I was shopping for? What? My best friend was with me and witnessed the whole conversation. Ummmm, what am I shopping for? This bank that I have been a member since 2017, is asking me personal questions that has no business being asked!! Did I have the funds in my account? Yes. Then WHY is anyone asking me what I am shopping for? I remained calm throughout the exchange. My friend was understandably was becoming irritated. I made the decision in that moment to change banks. After 9 years of being a customer, I am done. This may or may not assist others. Unfortunately, it was not the only time I was asked WHY I wanted to withdraw more than my daily limit? As long as I prove I have my card, it is no one's business why a 60 yr old woman wants to spend her money.

While borrowing or leveraging our money. About 7-8 mistakes causing numerous trips back while setting up my account, followed by attitude from the branch supervisor. Then they gave my information to TMC Bank for a credit card without my permission, while claiming to be a high data privacy and security bank. TMC Bank does not encrypt your online application personal data (DOB, SSN, etc). This is 2025 yet very weak security practices. Never did get a call back from TMC about deleting my data they got. There's a weird vibe at this bank regardless of branch. Grass not greener. Moving back to old bank.
