So I was telling my friend about my symptoms and her boyfriend had the exact same issues. She told me they went to get an allergy back scratch test done to see what was causing the issue and from there got allergy shots and his symptoms cleared up quickly. After the doctor saw my reactions, she decided to first put me on two different kinds of nasal spray is before we decide on allergy shots as a last resort. This office was great - I didn't ever have to wait too long for the doctor or nurse to come in and they were both very fast and professional. Very clean office as well. I'll post an update once I see how the nasal spray is work for me but overall I'm very optimistic!

After I showed Dr. Harris all my medical records, he figured out I have Dermatographia. He recommended me to increase my anti-histamine dosage to quadruple and added zantac. For the first time, my itchiness stopped. I am not religious but OH GOD and THANK HEAVEN! No more misery! Dr. Harris also sent me a request for blood test. Thanks to two Lab Corp's lab mistakes, Dr. Harris thought I might have autoimmune disease. However, a hematologist was able to figure it out that it was a lab error. Unfortunately, I changed my insurance company and Intermountain Allergy & Asthma do not take Select Med +. I will definitely recommend Dr Harris if you have allergy and asthma problems!

They have a corner area for the kids with toys and a table with chairs. A must to keep kids occupied. This Dr. reminds me of the old school doctors in a good way. He takes handwritten notes and at the end gave me a handwritten note of his conclusions. WOW, When was the last time you got one of those? I arrived and didn't sit very long in the waiting room. I was approached by the man himself and he shook my hand and took us back to his office to talk things over. I know right, the Doctor coming to get his own patients. Kool Got in the our room and started immediately on the testing. They had a tv in the room to help again with occupying the kids attention. Dr Jones is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever met. He has managed my rare disease,…read morehereditary angioedema, with incredible expertise and ultimate kindness. He is one of the world's respected thought leaders and I cannot overstate how much I love being his patient. His intellectual curiosity is boundless, meaning he is up-to-date on the latest studies and treatments. That intellectual curiosity also means he confirms ALL of you is okay, not just your specific disease process. My HAE flared, he checked multiple labs, and sure enough, I had hypothyroidism. I think most doctors would simply blow that symptom off as an essential symptom of my hereditary angioedema. Most rare disease patients have been dismissed or not believed by other physicians in the past. I thankfully did not experience that but even still, I have a deep appreciation for Dr Jones's beautiful combination of competence and kindness.
