I recently came in to rent a car for a few days while my car was in the shop. I loved the car rented out to me. It was a white nissan sentra SR and was pretty brand new. My main reason for leaving this review is to highlight my return process. I was in such a hurry and did not fully check the car for all of my belongings before leaving. It was not until I got home that I noticed some things missing from my purse. I remembered my purse falling over in the rental car and I must not have grabbed everything. My heart was in my stomach because I was missing $100. I called the Clinton location where I left the vehicle and informed a gentleman of the situation. He told me the car was still there, no one had cleaned it yet and If I would like to come back to check for the missing items, I could. I told him I am on my way back now. I called back shortly after because I thought, I would hate to drive all the way back there and it is not there. I spoke with the same gentleman, Immanuel Wilson, who informed me he found the missing items and had them with him at the desk. When I arrived, I met with Immanuel and he returned the items to me, including the money found. What a very helpful and HONEST employee he is. You all should be very proud!! I made reservations online for a large SUV and caught a 20-minute Uber to find out they didn't have my vehicle in stock. They offered me a smaller SUV, which was unacceptable. They said we didn't check the computer for same-day reservations to call you to let you know we didn't have your vehicle. Then, they asked me if I called other Enterprises; that is not my job. They need to have a better inventory system if people are catching Uber or ride. This was a waste of time and money, and not even an apology. read more

Customer service skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency are all lacking. Arrived in the office with a group to pick up pre-arranged rentals, no one was in a hurry and they moved like they had not a care in the world. No one was nice at all, it was like the customers were a bother to the employees. After providing an email address to receive a receipt sent to me, no receipt was emailed. Had to call the company after the fact and again, it was as it I was bothering the employee by asking for an emailed receipt when it should have been in my inbox already. read more

The worst customer service I ever experienced. I have used Enterprise quite a lot and was surprised by my experience at the Old Alexandria Ferry Road location. My SUV was in the shop for repair and the part was taking forever. I had rented the prior week from the Waldorf location but returned on Friday since the part was due to arrive. Well the part never showed and I needed a car for Tuesday to get to work. On Monday I called and they said they had an economy car available. I arrived and they had an economy car but clearly wanted to keep it and offered me a pickup for the same rate (only $80/day) When I mentioned that the repair shop had a discount rate they tried to sell me insurance and when I refused, they said I couldn't use the shop rate as anyone could just say their car was in the shop. I called the shop and had them talk to the agent and the manager but to no avail despite the shop approving the rental. They made several illogical reasons why they couldn't give me the rate, It was a different region and then said the shop would have to pay for the rental. They did everything to make it difficult for me and basically refused to rent me the pickup. I went outside in the cold to make a call and they locked the door behind me. Didn't bother to ask if I needed a ride since I was dropped off. I called customer service to complain and they were apologetic and assured me that the regional manager would call me and corporate would like to hear my complaint. Guess what , no call, no regional manager. Clearly they're not interested in servicing their customers and would rather keep vehicles sitting on the lot than rent them. My advice to anyone looking to rent a vehicle is don't waste your time. Go to another rental company, there are plenty who are much better. With this type of customer service they will no survive in the market. I agree with all the other single star reviews, corporate should either close this branch down or get people who know how to serve their customers. .I won't be renting again from Enterprise and will tell everyone about my experience there. read more

The worst experience . I went through Enterprise with a Geico claim. The rental was extended and noted and yet the enterprise office which is in the body shop continues to charge my credit card with no notice to myself. I called and spoke with the manager who was no help especially when you are dealing with injuries from the accident . Go somewhere else. It s a shame because i would go to a different body shop simply because of this enterprise location . The worst experience yet through Geivo. They don't work together . The manager is never available and even when the rental is fully covered through insurance they put hundreds of dollars of holds on your card for no reason or communication . I will never use Enterprise personally or professionally. If i ever have an insurance claim again i will request another rental company. Then today a toll charge pops up for a toll i never used. Then the local office can provide no information and you call an 800 number . It takes 30 minutes to get a 26 dollar charge off with a supervisor. Update : After an 40 minute call and being transferred with no explanations from the 800 number a request was put in . The worst customer service yet. Each person said something different on the phone . I wouldn't recommend enterprise to anyone . One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing . I wish I could give a 0 rating, My daughter had to rent a car from Old Alexandria Ferry Way in Clinton MD through our insurance company. She received the car and her being young didn't inspect the inside so the next morning on her way home from work my son who was in the car with her, opens the console and there was a gun clip with bullets and weed all in the console. Her and my son were in the car I told them to park the car and call the police so that is what they did. They waited for the police, meanwhile tried getting the store on the phone to see what type of assistance we could get just in case they decided to tow the car, and we could not get any assistance on the phone. Never spoke to anyone just being kept on hold. I was told from another location that we called they would have the manager call me and then in the same sentence tells me there is no manager as of yet over there. Never received a call. The police took the clip but not the car so she drove to another enterprise location and traded the rental in for another car. Car was never cleaned, smelling like weed and she was literally riding dirty. Can't complain to corporate office that seems to be a joke. And thank God she wasn't pulled over especially when she had her baby in the car. It would have been no questions asked. Thank God for the Enterprise near Catholic University. The manager there was awesome and they actually clean there cars and she had a great experience. read more

H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E service at the Old Ferry location. IMO Enterprise should close Old Ferry and terminate every single last one of those people over there and start over. I mean when a client is coming in to spend $1 or in my case $500 plus on a car rental, you're not doing me any favors as I'm ELECTING" to spend my money with you. Its not a requirement but a choice and in order for me to make that choice, I need to feel respected and considered and not like I'm being run over by a truck filled with rude and crass people. I was all but ready to give up on Enterprise after a 20-plus year relationship until the folks at Auth Road stepped in and made me a believer once again. If you're in search of respect, consideration and people treating you like a human being then the Auth Road Enterprise is your safest bet for ensuring this will happen. Old Ferry - Well let's just say that remediation and some massive retraining of associates to understanding the core basics of customer service is highly required as if these people ran my business the way they run that location, I would have long fired them all! Horrible customer service! My car was in an accident and we needed a rental for a few days. We picked up the rental car on a Monday. Was told that we would get something comparable to our car. Comparable was only only important because my Husband had surgery that required physical therapy and every other day, he would need to be taken to the physical therapy appointment and is unable to bend his knee so he needed something where he could extend his leg. Well, we arrive and a RAV4 is waiting --not nearly comparable and no explanations but the additional daily cost was charged. Several times, the rental car cut off on us in the middle of traffic. SCARY! Called on Saturday to their Emergency Roadside Service and the run around starts. I got so frustrated with them that I hung up. We were afraid to use the car much over the weekend. It is now Monday, hopefully, my car is ready for pickup later today and we can return this rental because it cuts off or is slow to start. Tried to speak to the Manager and he is too busy to take calls. This is not your rental Company or location! You have been warned! read more

Had some hesitations about this location when they showed up over an hour and half late to pick me up. Like c'mon, I live 5 mins away, what's the hold up? The car itself was great but the random charge in excess of $200 was not as great. If your company makes a mistake and unintentionally charges a customer, fine, just do your best to resolve the situation and return the money to the customer as soon as possible. This is not what happened. There seems to be a lack of communication between the employees as every service member I spoke with offered a different reason as to why I was charged the amount. I would receive one call from an employee promising to rectify the situation, only to find no efforts were made and all the employees clueless the next day. This process repeated it self a couple of times. The situation has still not been rectified. My family and I have been Enterprise customers at this location for years, and this is the first time we have ever encountered such problems. Maybe it was a situational problem? Who knows, but this whole experience was enough to leave a bad taste in our mouths. read more

It was an upgrade for the same price. I ended up extending for almost a month due to my vehicle needing repairs. Lets start with I waited in line for almost 40mins because they were short handed. The enterprise on Auth Rd called to check if they had a SUV they immediately said yes and would hold it for me the rep at Auth Rd called instead of checking on the computer cause the inventory is not in real time. I made my way to the Alexandria Ferry Rd location where after I waited patiently for my rental they actually didn't have a SUV all they had was a Ford Fusion and a Nissan Altima promised to update me daily for when one would become available never received a call so I called them 3 days into my rental period and they didn't even remember what they promised I actually spoke with Angela whom helped me at the location she pretended not to know took my information a second time and has yet to call me about an upgrade. Just FYI I'm currently on day 6 of my rental 0 communication not even an apology. read more

I have never felt so bamboozled, tricked, taken advantage of, by a supposedly reputable business in my life. The service st this facility was unbelievably poor. I rented a car due through my insurance due to the lost of my car. Since I have rented from this store I have had nightmares after nightmares. I have been accused of damaging a car that I didn't damage and to add insult to injury, I was accused of not paying a toll. I did not travel via a toll at all. They say they are going to charge my credit card. I don't know what they are going to come up with next. This has really caused me problems and issues. I have been a long time Enterprise user and this experience was the worst I have ever had. Not even counting all the B.S they put me through because my address recently changed, but I got rushed through check in and when I drove off, I was not aware that the sunglass hutch was broken and the passenger side mirror was broken. It was hanging down and would not stay up but it fell completely off after a few miles. The sunglass hutch would not stay up and blocked the rear view mirror. The car was slow and definitely needed a tune up and there was still trash in the car. I was very disappointed. read more

To start off, the enterprise representative that was in I believe the corporate office, either did her job too fast or did not know what she was doing. I constantly called back and forth from my insurance company to her because she set me up to pay for my own rental when I know I was covered and I gave her the correct information. Then when I returned my rental to the same location I got it from (which is how I prefer to return it although I can return it to any Enterprise) they told me they couldn't drop me off at my next destination because it was "too far". I was told multiple times I could be dropped off at my next location. It was 15 minutes from their actual location. 5 minutes further than the location I ended up having to go to. read more

I waited almost 40 minutes to return a vehicle with only 1 customer representative available and a lobby filled with customers. The young lady was quite pleasant and doing her best to accommodate everyone. However, I would suggest that customers that are physically present for service be taken care of before servicing customers calling on the phone and that Enterprise provide additional staff coverage during rush hour timeframes. read more

I had the unfortunate pleasure of renting a vehicle because my vehicle was in the shop for repair. Someone or something in DC swiped my rear bumper and left the scene. The staff at the Clinton Enterprise were very pleasant to work with, The gentleman and lady I worked with were very pleasant, professional, and courteous (a few traits that are sorely missing nowadays). My process was smooth both renting and returning. My only issue is the door lock was very difficult to open with the key. No, it wasn't a vehicle with a keypad. I think it needed some greasing, but nonetheless, it was only for 2 days so I didn't feel a need to complain. read more

There are a couple of problems with Enterprise: 1. once you rent a car on line and use your bonus points, you are not allowed to extend the contract at the same rate. The rate reverts to the current higher rate. 2. you can only use your bonus points on-line not in the store. This needs to be changed as the points do not serve any purpose if you can only use them on line. read more

My car was recently stolen so my insurance company sent me too the Clinton Enterprise for a rental. When I arrived my reservation had been made but, there were no cars available that would be under the price the insurance company was willing to pay which left me having to choose a car that would cost me extra for the duration of the rental. That was very frustrating in itself because you never really know how long you would have the rental. So they explained that they would take the overage amount out of the deposit that I made which was fine with me. However, after those monies had been exhausted I felt like they were calling me everyday asking for more money even before the week was up. I spoke to several different reps and was told several different reasons as to why they needed to call me and when my card would be charged. This was very confusing and frustrating. The manager did offer me a free upgrade when I returned the vehicle. read more
