They did a quick inspection and then printed out my receipt (which was printed on a dot matrix printer - love it!! Lol). Since I had signed up for text notifications, I also got a text that my car was successfully returned. This particular location is small and there's not that much around. I've rented from Budget many times and overall the experiences have been good. The only complaints and it's pretty minor is that sometimes the cars aren't the cleanest, like sometimes there's garbage from a previous customer left in the cup holder on the door, or in the glove compartment. It's never anything too gross, so that's ok, lol.

I had a rental car from these guys for just 2 weeks only filling the tank once and had 1 tire blow and it had a bent rim that they ended up pinning both of the damages on me and charging me a ridiculous amount of money. They even charged me a premium on not filling the gas tank 36L for $99 even though I had returned the car after the bent rim and did not want it back therefore having no choice but to leave the gas as is. I rented a car in July 2020, after returning the vehicle, I did not receive my $200 deposit back. After a month I had to call to get this back (even though it's supposed to be 3-10 business days. They finally sent me my $200. In September I rented another car from Halifax, and another car 1 week later from Saint John. Same thing, two months later, no money received back for either car. $400 they have at this point. On top of that, when I rented the car from Halifax in September, they gave me a faulty vehicle and didn't do an outside inspection with me. My trip should have taken 4.5 hours, it ended up being 7.5 due to the fact the tire continued to lose pressure, and they refused to swap out a car for me along the way- Amherst, Moncton, Fredericton- you get the idea. Can you imagine driving on the highway and needing to stop at EVERY exit to find a gas station and pump up the tire? I can promise you it was NOT fun and this company took ZERO ownership. You may think Enterprise is great because they do cash deposits, take it from me- I've just purchased a new car and it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper to do that than to ever rent a car from these crooks.

For my car, I had been given a selection of a Buick or a Ford Escape. I had selected the Ford Escape. The girl working the counter said it was the better selection as it had satellite radio also. Vehicle was clean and comfortable during my visit. The return was an absolute breeze as I had an attendant verify the regulars (gas, no major dings or scrapes) and that the SUV was in good working order. Then my final copy of the invoice was printed off quickly and I was wished a good flight. As you entered the rental hall, AVIS is located right to the left side of the door way. Both Preferred and regular rentals are handled at the same counter. The agent was friendly and had me on my way within a few minutes as I am a Preferred member. There is a 24-hour gas station at the entrance to the airport. I returned the rental before it was opened for the day. I dropped off the keys at their night box and was on my way to the gate. I would rent from AVIS on my next trip to Halifax CA.

We ordered a "mystery car" $200/day as that was our only option. The car they gave us was a KIA mid size and was in pretty bad shape.. and our CRA forgot to add our aeroplan # to our reservation when we checked in at the counter. Upon returning the car, I noticed a week later that I had not received any aeroplan points yet to my account. I called AVIS at Halifax Airport and spoke with a lady who claimed to be a manager "Kelsey" (under Joe Ferraro ) and she stated there was nothing she could do as the reservation was now closed. KELSEY came across very arrogant. She didn't offer any assistance, and claimed there was nothing more she could do. She told us to call Aeroplan. We called Aeroplan and after an hour we got hold of an agent who told us that AVIS was responsible for adding our points. A supervisor then came on the call who assisted us in a 3 way call with Avis and spoke to customer service who gladly added our points. (the entire process took appx 3 hours of my time from being put on hold, waiting times, etc....). The entire situation could have been avoided if the Halifax manager KELSEY (under Joe Ferraro) knew what she was doing. She claimed that there was nothing more she could do. Such arrogance! All she had to do was open a 3 way call with AVIS customer support (like the Aeroplan Supervisor did) and have our aeroplan number added to the reservation. It was as simple as that. She refused to budge and completely wasted 3 hours of our time. It is quite annoying when someone who is in a leadership role as a manager is so full of herself, yet clearly doesn't know the process.
