This was my first time renting a car, after my experience with this company I am weary to rent again. The staff were incredible, very kind and helpful. However, I had my rental for-maybe 2 hours and it needed an oil change. I called and was on hold for 30-45 minutes at a time and when someone would answer they hung up on me. After a couple days of being on hold I went to the Guntersville location on my lunch break. Staff told me it didn't need an oil change yet, I asked if there was an easier way to get ahold of her and she said "unfortunately, no".So once the rental started having problems shifting and I knew it needed and oil change I started calling again. This Time I was able to get a hold of someone. She was very rude, and even hung up on me.That was it for me I just stopped calling, if I needed something I went to their office.I am happy to be done with this company. read more

I had to evacuate south Florida to north Alabama due to hurricane Irma. My family is originally from the Marshall County area and they want wanted to spend time extra time home and I needed to get back to work. I went here to rent a car because I had booked a flight out of Atlanta. While doing all the paperwork the girl behind the counter asked me what brought me to town and I explained the situation. I would love to have him on my team, was polite, helped us, and just went over the top when he didn't have to not just for us. When we went to pick up the car they said they didn't have one. We sat and waited. The car they ended up giving us was sitting here the entire time. to top it off the car smells like someone sprayed strong air freshener over cigarette smell. NOT good for someone who gets migraines from strong smells. I will have to take migraine meds. So not happy!!! Next time will drive to Huntsville. read more

Very disappointed. Rented a car in north Carolina. It was covered in drops of water. Didn't see any damage. Arrived in guntersville al to return car and was surprised to discover slight hail damage. Was hidden by the drops of water. It didn't even rain during my trip but the manager of the guntersville location wrote out a damage report and implied I would be held responsible. Didn't even get a receipt for the rental for my taxes. Cant help but feel it was done deliberately. read more

Reserved a car in Guntersville AL through our corporate account for an employee, for transportation to orientation. Received a confirmation # and received a reminder email in regards to picking up the car. My employee arrived 2 hours early to pickup the car. No car. He was told to come back in 2 hours. Still no car. Location was closing at this time. I understand that things happen that may not be the fault of Enterprise. I contacted Enterprise to look for a resolution. This is where it gets good. I was told they could help me make a reservation for a car at the Huntsville AL Airport location because all of their other locations were now closed. I explained that I already had a reservation. Now... I was also told that the car would be more expensive, due to the greater distance I would now be taking the car. Here are my problems with this resolution. 1) If I had a car to drive all over the state, I wouldn't be attempting to rent one of theirs. 2) How do I know that just because I have a reservation in Huntsville, that there will in fact be a car to pick up? 3) I am now being charged more for a car because Enterprise dropped the ball. I was unhappy with this resolution. I was not looking for a discount. I was not looking for a specific vehicle. I was not looking for any favors. I was looking for what was contractually agreed upon and expected Enterprise to assist in making this happen. I was told that I would be put on an emergency call list from a General Manager. I waited 3 hours and received no call. I called back and was given the same story again. It has now been 11 days and still no call. Good luck with your rental. read more

First of all let me say I have never left a review for anything, but this place is so unprofessional and has no idea what customer service is or how to treat people, that I felt I needed to. Well I'll start by saying when I walked in the office there was a elderly lady that was very upset, I could tell she had been talking to the boy at the counter for awhile, I sat down to wait my turn. I heard him tell her to have a seat and wait that maybe he would get her something that afternoon. It was about 9:30 on Monday morning. Then he looked at me and ask if I was there to pick up a car also. I said yes I had a reservation that I had made 3 weeks prior. He said we have no vehicles. Maybe have something that afternoon but could not guarantee. I then ask him why he could not have called before Monday morning to tell me that there could be a problem getting my rental. I explained to him that I needed to be leaving by 12 that afternoon. The elderly lady then said she had made her reservations 3 months prior to the day to pick up her rental. I asked the manager if he could call another Enterprise and see if we could pick up vehicles there. He then just smiled and shook his head no. He acted like he didn't care about any customers so I and left I just hope the elderly lady did also. I also contacted Enterprise they did tell me that I could go to Huntsville Alabama, I was also told that the rental would be higher. I then called Huntsville Enterprise And the lady I talked to was very helpful but she did also say that it would be the next morning before they could have the rental I had reserved because of short notice which was understandable I would not recommend renting a vehicle from Enterprise in Guntersville Alabama read more

Our truck was being repaired, so we arranged through our insurance company to get a rental car from Enterprise. We chose the Guntersville location as we hoped it would be more convenient than Huntsville. On the day we went to pick up the car, we realized we were running a bit late, so my wife called ahead, telling the representative we were on our way, but we might be a few minutes late. The representative said this would not be a problem. As it turned out, we arrived at Enterprise at 6:00 pm, on the dot, (according to my cell phone). The Enterprise location was not open, it was not in the process of closing, it was closed, doors locked, lights off, no employees in sight. We had driven 40 minutes to get there, with a 40 minute return trip, no rental car. If the representative had just told us they could not stay late, we would have turned around and tried the next day, but they said no problem. Then, not only did they not stay late, they couldn't even be bothered to close on time. I will never go to this Enterprise location again. read more
