This location has the most absolutely discourteous, incompetent, blatantly ill mannered, and unprofessional employee/ manager | have ever encountered. Manager RAVEN ISAAC to be specific. I booked a rental ( pick up) for a company event and even called to ensure the rental was available and was told by Raven the only vehicle available was a SUV. I said okay, meanwhile can you find another nearby location with more space and I can switch vehicles if need be. Raven did not want to assist. I arrived at 1pm as scheduled to pick up the rental and Raven stated I gave your SUV away and we have no more cars available. After taking a 40 min uber to get there I was forced to wait 1 hour on another uber to take me back home. While awaiting the uber I called customer service as Raven intervened loudly in my conversation, calling me a liar as I reported exact events. She was loud, called me vulgar names and threatened me as I attempted to report this situation to higher ups. I watched Raven rent multiple SUVs, compact cars, vans and every other car in the parking lot as she refused to give me a vehicle. I waited for customer service to call back which they never did, Ubered a hour to the Waldorf location. When I arrived at the Waldorf location I was forced to call Lexington Park to cancel the reservation so I can use the points. Raven refused to cancel the reservation and stated she does know how. A manager doesn't know how to cancel a reservation. The manager Marcellus attempted to help and stood rite in front of me while Raven left me on hold for 22 minutes. When Raven returned to the phone she said I'm working with Marcellus now to fix it. Marcellus was standing directly in front of me the whole time, not on the phone with Raven. As she was hanging up she mumbles no car having bitch. She purposely inconvenienced me and refused to cancel the reservation and I was unable to rent a vehicle. I'm filing a lawsuit for missing my business event, and the multiple Ubers. RAVEN ISAAC the most disreputable, unethical unprofessional Enterprise employee. read more

I got an insurance covered rental while my POV is being repaired. The car, Chrysler minivan, had a blurry windshield. Some kind of defect it appears. I guess defect because the replacement Chrysler minivan just had the windshield replaced for the same issue. But, the replacement was filthy. I mean seriously filthy. There was yogurt on the back seat, dog paw prints on the carpet, dirt all over the place, and what appeared to be buggers on the steering controls. Seriously filthy. I called the location and the manager returned my call a bit later, Bobby. Bobby offered either a replacement Nissan with 3rd row or to personally clean the minivan. I chose the replacement and he dropped it off at my home. If it wasn't for Bobby, I would have rated this location a 1. But a manager who can fix an issue like this so quickly can fix the other problems in the office and make it better. read more

Well, almost two years to the day that I took my car in for service and wound up going home with a rental car, that has happened again. This time it was a Hyundai not a Toyota. But it was brand new. Looks like it will be 2 weeks until they have the parts to repair it. Working with Enterprise to get a rental car in the interim was fast and easy. 10 minutes after walking in I was driving away in a brand new Nissan Sentra. All of the agency employees with whom I worked were friendly and professional. This is a great franchise and I'm happy to give them Hyundai's business. read more

Honestly, the most difficult Enterprise location I've ever visited. I had to drive 2 hours away to go to another location to rent a car, because my car insurance was not based in their area. I'm so pissed. I've never heard of that rule, it would of been better if the insurance needs to match my address on my ID which would be totally understandable and I would of been able to rent a car. Instead I was told I can only rent a car if I go back to Baltimore. Luckily I tried another rental car company and I was able to use my car insurance because it matched my address on my ID. I am super surprised at Enterprise, because I have always used Enterprise and my entire family uses them as well and I never had any problems until I visited this location. After waiting 45 minutes from my original pick up time I called to see if they had forgotten me or if perhaps maybe there was some type of reasonable hold up or something. A woman answered the phone and stated she needed to put me on a "brief" hold. 28 MINUTES LATER she picked the phone back up. She could have cared less about me being on hold or the fact they missed my pick up. This place has bad service, unorganized and clearly a terrible scheduling department. I was on the schedule they just "missed" me she said. UPDATE: After they "missed" me on Saturday I have called 3 times today to try and schedule another pick up. All 3 times starting at 10am this morning and the last being just now at 2:30pm there hasn't been anyone available to answer the phone. So after you wait 3 minutes the automated system just hangs up on you. read more

It is a small rental agency, but I thought everyone that worked there was on top of their game and provided excellent service. They picked me up at my hotel which was about 9 miles from their location. The price of the rental was very reasonable. Less than $40 a day including taxes and fees. The best thing I really liked about them was that they took the time to drop me back off at my hotel. That was really cool and very convenient. I was prepared to pay for a cab back to the hotel, which would have been at least $15. Great place to do business if you are staying in the Solomons Island area. read more

Reserved a truck online (said it was available!) Drive 45 minutes out of the way to this location to pick up since the price was cheaper and when I was five minutes away I get a call saying they don't have the truck available. So I looped around through Somd and drove all the way back up to La Plata enterprise where they hooked me up with the nicest truck. This was the best rental car experience I've had in years! I reserved the "you pay we pick" option and when they had nothing but a very basic economy option and a truck, they called me and asked my preference. When I asked to be picked up they brought the truck to me and I was able to do everything right there. The key drop made it super easy to return without the stress of rushing to get there before they closed. The agents were exceptionally courteous and the vehicle was immaculate! read more

(I can't give them ZERO stars, but I must click on that for the review to process) DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!! I just made the mistake to rent without checking their reviews. Paid a deposit of $200. And was told I was getting it back when I returned the vehicle. I agreed. We sign: "here", "here", and "here". Now this is where you gotta be careful!!! Apparently I "agreed" to buy the coverage protection. And I told him I didn't because we were going to use our own insurance. He even wrote it down in the contract. However, that doesn't matter because he said that I agreed to the coverage and he explained it to us. I replied: no you didn't. He said i signed for it. He then explained he always explains that part (implying that does that to other customers). By just talking to individual, I realized this is not going anywhere. He keeps saying we agreed. Otherwise the deposit would've been $600. And I was thinking. If I knew that was going to be the charge I would've walk to the next dealer Avis that is behind them and see what it offers. At the end. I let our conversation go. 1) because I am already thousand of miles and miles away. And figure. If I was in Lexington I would've go over there and clear this together with my friend (witness) she was there when all this "agreement" happened. And ask this guy (whom by the way calls himself Mike, but you won't find a business card with that name there. Once upon a time I only used Enterprise for my car rentals. Over the years their lack of airport locations, terrible hours, overpriced rentals, crappy car selection, tedious personal insurance verification and high pressure upsells finally turned me to Alamo. For over 10 year I have always chosen Alamo for my rental cars and have always been very satisfied with them. I Booked a 1 way rental at the BWI airport for a short drive to Lexington Park, MD. The rental started off as usual with the pressure to upgrade the car, take all sorts of insurance, prepaid gas etc. I declined as usual and the manager popped up and asked if I would mind taking a mini van since they had a surplus of them. I was only driving it a short distance so I said why not. Alamo sends you into a parking garage where you choose your own car, keys are in it. You stop at a tollbooth on the way out and they record which car you took. No damage inspections or anything like that. Its always been a good system, much faster than most rental companies. I drove the van straight to the gas station to fill it up and then to this Enterprise car rental location that also accepts Alamo cars (Enterprise now owns Alamo and National) The people inside took my keys, asked me for the mileage and sent me on my way. They never looked at the van and I wasn't concerned since I didn't even leave it unattended for a second, driving it from point a to point b, stopping only for gas. Fast forward 2 weeks later I receive a letter from the "Damage Recover Unit" of Alamo stating there is a Damage to the vehicle I rented and they want either my personal car insurance info or my credit card insurance info so they can process a claim. Nowhere in this paperwork do they give ANY details about price, damage, pictures, or anything but they expect me to send them all sorts of info. I emailed them about this issue and they replied that they are looking into it. So far they have given me absolutely no details about this damage. In the meantime I started googling this damage recovery unit and discovered that this is standard business practice for Alamo / Enterprise / National. In the Maryland area the problem seems to be rampant. In fact I another review for this location complains of the same. Google Alamo Damage Recover unit and you will find literally hundreds of people with the exact same story. Apparently people that don't take the additional insurance are now being SCAMMED by Enterprise / Alamo into paying for previous damage or non existant damage. Its hard to say if the van had damage, but I certainly didn't do it. I have since cancelled my future rentals for my company. I cannot believe how widespread this is, only with Enterprise and its subsidiaries. Its obviously fraud and it needs to be stopped. Renter beware, if you do business with these companies or any, do a walk around, document everything, videotape and take pics of everything at the time of rental and return. It may help you out of getting scammed yourself. read more

If you can stay as far away from them as possible the branch manager will lie right to your face and try their best to charge you for things that were already there. Once you file a complaint a regional manager is suppose to call you back within 3-5 business days, I have now been trying to speak to one for almost 3 weeks. Came here for a last-minute one way rental. The staff was friendly and helpful, like everyone else here is saying. But I was disappointed once I noticed they stuck the supplemental insurance onto my bill without asking if I wanted it (I did not). When I called them about it, they gave me some lame excuse about how they could refund me, but that I was actually "undercharged" on the one-way drop fee, so any amount refunded would have to go toward that. A snaky response to what was poor customer service to begin with. - I'll be going to other companies from now on for car rentals in the Lexington Park area. read more

Call Enterprise, we'll leave you stranded. Have an open account with the insurance for a collision. Limp my vehicle to the collision shop and call Enterprise to pick me up (2 miles away) and ten minutes until closing. They say they can't pick me up with the time required. I tell them where I am, they put me on hold, then say they won't pick me up, I must drive there. So I get there on my own as requested (15 minutes after closing) and they did not wait. They stranded me at the collision shop, they stranded me at their facility. I am forced to use them as there is an open account for the auto claim, unless I want to front money elsewhere and wait for reimbursement. Horrible service. Merely in it for the insurance money. read more

I've actually rented from this place three times and have had an overall good experience. The last time I rented from them (which was about three or four months ago) my boyfriend dropped me off 15 min before they were open and they still let me in the building. They even matched a competitor's price that day. Once when I rented from them, I was given a car that reeked of cigarettes. I didn't complain about it, but in hindsight I think that if I had complained, I would have been given another vehicle. read more

Everyone in this office is very kind and they surely go out of their way to make sure everything is taken care of. I wish I was better at remembering names but in this case everyone was 5 star. I returned my vehicle last night and as I was waiting, there was women who was extremely rude, and I believe at one point called the crew "big dumb animals". They still treated her with respect even though she was bat s**t crazy. I couldn't have held composure had she had been talking to me that way. I will definitely return to this location. read more

I rented a vehicle from Enterprise Rent A Car at the airport a few weeks ago and returned it locally (Lexington Park). Because I was disgusted at how much the drop off fee was from the airport, I placed my next rental with Avis. Well when I dropped off my vehicle the folks at Enterprise were so nice and pleasant that I changed my reservation from Avis to Enterprise. They also told me to rent via Enterprise-Hertz or Alamo the next time because they don't charge a drop off fee. I think they are a sister company of theirs. Not the Hertz down the street. Just call them to get more detail. Anyway, as promised, I received a better deal and got an upgrade at a reduced price. I will definitely rent there again. Very nice, friendly folks. BTW, I also got a courtesy call while on my trip to ask how I was enjoying the car. Joye was great! read more

Joye was nice and helpful, but assistance manager Charles needs more training on professionalism, customer service skills and overall what experience value means to customers. He was fast talking, different rates quoted and unfinished follow up's when closing or returning the rental vehicle. Ask for your reciept, because you won't get one. Workers in office might answer the phone, or may not... so it's hard to get through. I can say that the young gentleman that picked me up, he was very nice and professional. They do have more cars than other surrounding areas. If it was such a rate, I would rate this Enterprise in Lexington Park, Md. location a 2.5 out of 5. I recently used Enterprise to rent a car for the 4th of July weekend. I have no complaints at all. In fact, I feel that the employees, especially Ariel in particular, were so accommodating! In comparison to the quote I received online for Avis, Enterprise was over $100 cheaper for the 4 days I needed a rental. They not only picked me up to bring me to the agency, they also gave me a ride home when I returned the vehicle - both free of charge. The price of the rental was only $28.50 per day for a full-size vehicle. The vehicle was in great condition, as well. The deposit was only $100 and was returned. I am not sure how anyone would say they had a bad experience with this office, but I sure didn't. Definitely going back next time I am in need of a rental! :-) read more

They really need to get their staff the right information. I called at 9am and asked about renting a car for a week and they told me it would be 220.00 and I asked well what about age do you have to be 25 and she said no how old are you I then replied 20 and she said you would just have to pay An extra $15 a day and I said okay I then called back at 12 like she told me to , to make sure the car I wanted was available and I asked she said yes see you at 6 so I called at 530 on my way up there ( I had got a ride with my child's age 1 because I sold my car ) and they said okay so when I got there the lady told me I couldn't get a car because I was 20. I then told her everything that happened that day and she then acted like she was apologetic and said sorry you can't rent one . So I was stuck ! ( with a 1 year old ) so I called and asked for a manager and the guy on the phone kept asking me my name and I just kept asking for the manager and eventually told him my name is not important to him I wanted to speak to the manager so the manager just apologized and I told him to make sure his staff knows the right information and he said well we hope to see you back and I told him well you won't because when I am old enough I will go to another place do not go there you will be told different information . read more

I rented from there for a very long time. For the most part everyone is nice. Joye and the other girl there are sweet hearts and will go out of their way to help you and answer any questions u may have. But on the other hand the assistant manager Charles is a complete jerk. He flipped out on me all because I asked why my rate had gone up. The manager Joye even walked in and caught him screaming at me. He actually told me that he didn't have to rent me anything and I could walk. What was the most shocking was that he kept his job after he was CAUGHT treating a customer in that way. I have already called the corporate office and I am waiting on a call back from the district manager. I turned the vehicle in and will NEVER rent from there again. Oh and if u ask 4 the number to the corporate office they will not give it to u. I even asked for the number to the district manager and I couldn't get that either. I had to call the enterprise in prince Frederick to get the numbers. read more
