The staff here is great. I rented a car on the day before Thanksgiving and the day before Christmas. In both cases they did their best to get everyone in their car as fast as possible. Enterprise Is The Absolute Worst This is my third experience with Enterprise Car Rentals. This place is a customer service nightmare. I can honestly say that I have not had such consistently bad service from any other company the way I have with this place. Any time I have called in a reservation, it has always been a problem. You make the reservation and you show up to pick up a car and the reservation can't be found. Sometimes the agent will try and scramble and see if they can find a car. This ultimately has you waiting or coming back when and if they can find something. This most recent experience, my car was in the shop and my insurance company had a partnership with Enterprise. I just knew it was not going to go well. Sure enough, I reserved a car and when I went early (before they opened) to pick it up, there was no reservation or car. When I asked if there was anything coming in, the agent just shooed me out the door. Of course, when you call the company directly to speak to someone, you're put on hold and left to stew in your anger, canceled plans and obligations. All because I put my faith in a company that simply does not care. As a result, I do not have the vehicle I were promised. The one I took the time to reserve. The one I built I plans around for family and work the next several days. There has gotta be a better way. read more

Unfortunately my vehicle has been hit a few times so I've rented here through my insurance company. However I can say each time the staff her was professional and personable. I know you may think I'm biased because I had insurance coverage but trust me if you're looking for a rental car this is the perfect location for local or nonlocal travel. They are quick and you will get a vehicle that's comparable to what you're currently driving or in f you want to downsize than this is a great rental car company. Besides its centrally located. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Car Rental Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I've rented from Enterprise a couple times in the past year, usually for day trips but sometimes a long weekend. My husband and I live in the city and don't own a car so whenever we want to go outside the city and public transit or a Lyft isn't convenient/economical, we rent a car (couple times a year). I always reserve a car online first. Lately, inventory seems low but luckily I have been able to maneuver pickup/dropoff times or dates to be able to use this location (closest walk to where we live). This past time, I reserved the car maybe a week in advance for a Sunday pickup at 10am and had no inventory issues. Picking up the car took about 45 minutes. This location is aaaaalways slammed in the morning on the weekends because of their shorter hours I guess. We arrived around 10:05 and we were maybe 2nd or 3rd in line. It took maybe 10-15 minutes for an employee to address us and the rest of the time was just waiting for a car to be cleaned. Kind of disappointing considering we reserved in advance, but this seems common for any rental location in the city with any rental company other than 30th street station. Plan ahead! Our plans started at 11:45 after a 30-minute drive and picking up some quick breakfast so we reserved the car for 10am and it turned out to be perfect timing. Once the car was cleaned, we did the car inspection. Sometimes we do this, sometimes we don't. It seems to depend on how busy they are or how much of a hurry I'm in. No major issues, so we seemed like we were ready to go. Alas, I had asked for my husband to be added as a driver and noted it should be free since we are married. The employee wasn't sure how to do this on his tablet so we had to go inside. After about 5 minutes and some help from Mary, he got us set up and we were FINALLY good to go. The car was a Nissan Sentra and did okay! It got stuck in the snow once or twice as we had to park on the street a couple times but otherwise it got us from A to B, C, and D and then back to A again so it got the job done. Returning took about 10 minutes or so - another bit of a wait because there was a guy ahead of me and I arrived first thing Monday morning when they were busy trying to clean yesterday's cars. I didn't want to get stuck paying for parking so I was sure to get the car off the street by 8am, haha. Enterprise had just opened at 7:30. After a quick inspection I was all set and walked off the lot. Overall - a standard experience and I'll keep coming back because of the convenient location and the staff is ALWAYS friendly despite always being so busy. Would be nice if they could figure out a way to avoid the pickup wait times or if they offered an overnight drop option! read more

While this wasn't the most seamless rental car experience, it was still fairly solid. My car was sideswiped by a city trash truck so my insurance hooked me up with Enterprise for a rental while my car was in the shop. My husband and I dropped in on a rainy Saturday and we were maybe third in line. There were a couple people working but the process to get people in and out was taking longer than anticipated. When it was my turn, we went through the paperwork then went out to look at car options. Once I selected my car I thought I'd sign off and get the keys, but we had to go back inside and the car was brought around to the front (only about 30 feet from where it was originally parked), where we then went over more paperwork. It seemed to me like this process could have been streamlined a bit. As for the car itself, a Hyundai Veloster, I absolutely loved it! It was in great condition and I enjoyed driving the car so much I started thinking about how I'd go about trading in my own Hyundai Elantra for the zippy, simple-to-park-on-city-streets, Veloster! Alas, my car was finally ready for pick up after 3+ weeks in the shop, and I (somewhat reluctantly) returned my rental this morning. One of the agents walked me out to the car, did a brief inspection and then I was able to sign off on an iPad and head out. Far easier and faster than my first visit. This particular office is closed on Sundays and has limited Saturday hours, but it's convenient to my neighborhood and especially the auto body shop where I took my car just two blocks away. Hopefully I won't be requiring their services again but if I do I'd be fine with using this Enterprise location. read more

The girl working there with glasses also questioned why I came in half hour late for my reservation, like she needed a reason. I'm trying to pay your company don't question me about anything. I've rented twice from this location and probably will do so every time I need to rent a car- the customer service here is fantastic. The agents are so helpful & friendly, and if there is a problem with your car they take all of the steps to make it right. My only complaint is that the office closes early, as in 6 or 6:30, so if you need to return your car after that you're out of luck. Otherwise they're doing everything right here. read more

We rented a car from this location about a month ago. We reserved a compact through Orbitz but when we got to the lot they didn't have anymore compacts available due to an early morning rush. They offered us a Jeep Wrangler "for the same price" which seemed too good to be true. The Jeep was just returned so it wasn't clean at all, the girl that checked us in offered to have the team vacuum it out real quick before we left but that was it. We didn't have any issues with the car until the next day when we were in Gettysburg. We purchased an auto tour cd so that we could do a battlefield tour at our own pace and since the car had a CD player we thought it would be totally fine. Well joke's on us because the car ended up eating our cd. We got to the first stop on the tour and realized not only would the cd not pause but it also wouldn't eject. To say that it put a damper on our day would be a massive understatement. Gettysburg was not our final destination, after we toured the battlefield we drove down to Washington DC. We not only lost our cd but full function of the radio as it now only played the cd on repeat. When we got to DC the guy who checked us in said we would be able to get reimbursed for our cd. When we got to the actual enterprise office we found out the system was down and was told there was absolutely nothing they could do. They basically said "sorry, that really sucks but we can't help you". They told us to wait for the Philly location to call us and close the account out and talk to the manager at that location. The next day we got a call but missed it due to being in a museum. We returned the call the following day and the manager literally said there was nothing he could do. He said he would check with his higher ups and give us a call back. He never called us back. We usually don't rent through Enterprise and now I know why, their customer service is awful. Also, the price we were told would be the final price including taxes and fees through Orbitz was NOT the price we were actually charged. We ended up paying almost $70 more for the car, including losing our cd and the time wasted trying to get it out of the player. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

I rented a Chevy Cruze for my daughters birthday on 11/19. We went to cherry hill and needed the vehicle for her outing, it was more than enough space for us and clean. The vehicle was good on gas and served its purpose. Dasha, who turns out to be the assistant manager was very helpful, professional and nice. She made the whole process easy and she explained things thoroughly when I didn't understand the terms. The car she initially brought out was dirty so she quickly brought out another one and vacuumed it so that I could use. I was done earlier than they had scheduled to pick me up, and they sent someone over when Denardo's called them. A+ customer service, nice clean car. They also called me back after I had rented to make sure I was satisfied with their service, because they heard I had been a bit upset about not being able to schedule an appointment for the exact time I was requesting. Contemptible weasels. I rented a car through the Oneonta, NY, location. Chris, the branch manager, was wonderful and did his best to get us a car (a 2020 Toyota Camry) during these difficult rental times. The problem started after I returned the car in Princeton, NJ, the following week. Three days later, I got a phone call from an Enterprise claims investigator claiming there was damage to the driver's side rocker panel. The investigator failed to do her due diligence, claiming I was at fault and ignoring all information to the contrary. Chris, the Onenonta branch manager, even called the claims department to provide evidence the damage was pre-existing. Regardless, I received a bill for $925.06. This time, Chris contacted the Damage Recovery Unit to resolve the situation, making it clear their claim was baseless. After two stressful weeks, I received a letter stating they "made the decision to take care of the damages and costs of this claim" and closed the claim. Their description is clearly corporate speak for "We unfairly accused you, but we will never admit it". No acknowlegement, no apologies. Hey, Enterprise: Next time get your facts straight before you fire off unfounded accusations. You can kiss my rear bumper. read more

Good experience overall. My car was in the shop longer than expected so I ended up getting a rental through them. My car I own was hit by driver when parked (silly South Philly drivers). Her liability paid for my rental. Was disappointed gas on E when got rental and they didn't have economy cars available. Had to pay $5 extra/day which adds up. First, per policy that was only implemented on their location, because I have rented cars all over the United States with my TEMPORARY meaning LEGAL and able to drive license anywhere in the US, for the first time EVER, they deny it. This place is what customer service is all about! The folks at this branch are so kind and personable! I have rented here about 5 times and almost every time I go in without a reservation and in 10 minutes I drive away with a rental car. And since it is just south of center city the place is never crowded. I am not sure if it is the manager there, but there is one guy who is there every time I have gone and its always such a pleasure to chat with him while I fill out paperwork and he takes my info. Overall good experience. This was my second time renting from this location. Both times had no issues, staff was informative and friendly. Got the vehicle I was asking for and everything was smooth. My 1 negative is that it turned out to be a bit more expensive than I thought. Made my reservation online and got an estimated cost.
