I had an outstanding experience with this Enterprise location--Joel and CJ were especially fantastic. Even though it was busy when I arrived to pick up my rental, I was helped right away and on the road in under five minutes. They initially had a Dodge SUV ready, but since I'm not a big fan of Dodge (the steering always feels too loose to me), I asked if they had another option. Without hesitation, they offered a Hyundai Kona, which turned out to be a perfect fit--clean, well-maintained, and great to drive. The entire process was smooth and efficient. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Drop-off was just as easy--maybe two minutes total. They truly listened to what I needed and made sure I was taken care of. You genuinely leave their place of business with a smile on your face. You can't leave there and not have a great rest of the day when they are all so friendly. This is the kind of service that makes you want to return. Most rental car experiences are forgettable, but this one exceeded every expectation. I even asked for the staff's business cards so I could make sure to recognize them properly here. I can't recommend this location enough--thank you to Joel, CJ, and the whole team! In a very awful situation and in an emergency I used this locations toll free number to find a rental car. I was successful in booking a car after 15 minutes in the phone with a customer service person. After paying $40 plus dollars to get there with Uber, they had no rental car for me. I broke down in tears and the girl at front counter said, "uh, sorry" turned around and dismissed me. Never will I use enterprise again! You do not want to rent from Enterprise. At least not from this location. I made my reservation online through my insurance company. I received a confirmation email stating that my rental car would be available at the body shop. When I went to pick it up, they had no car for me. I was told that I had to CALL them to make the reservation and that they don't see reservations made online through the insurance company. I was driven from the body shop to their office on Morgantown Road where I would be able to rent a car. Because I "didn't make a reservation," they tried to have me rent a car that cost more than what my car insurance would reimburse. (I had chosen a car in the Corolla/Sentra category so I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket.) Instead of going the Good Customer Service route and giving me the car at the price point I had reserved, they wanted me to pay out of pocket for the more expensive rental car. I was pretty disgusted by that point, so I walked home. When I got home, I called the Enterprise Customer Service phone number and asked about this situation. I was told that when you make a reservation through the insurance company, the insurance company contacts Enterprise and it is then Enterprise's responsibility to contact the customer. This made me think back to something that was said when the agent drove me back from the body shop. A few minutes after we walked into the office on Morgantown Road, someone asked her, "Did that guy show up?" I wasn't sure at the time, but after speaking with the customer service representative, I'm pretty sure he was talking about me. I'm finished with Enterprise, at least at that location. I was contacted today to verify I would be renting a car on friday, which I booked through Orbitz. I also bought their insurance even though my car insurance has extra coverage for rentals. The associate proceeded to tell me I had to leave a $300. I asked why since I was paying with a major credit card and I purchased their insurance as well. He then replied because its a $30000 car and I said so $300 will pay for the car even though I purchased insurance ? I told him to cancel the reservation. That makes no sense what soever. He said all rental cars companies do it. I called him out on the lie because I just rented from Avis and that did not happen. Liars and thieves. Will never rent from them! read more

When I picked up a rental at this location, I was appalled. When asked questions, either they couldn't provide the service, it was an large additional price per day or something in there system was not working right. Instead of being treated like a customer, I felt like they were doing me a favor. I give the staff grace but I will not be shopping with Enterprise again. read more

I was sorely disappointed by not only the lack of service promised from this location but the fact that the person "helping" me lied to both myself and my insurance company ! I was instructed by my insurance company to pick up a car , given a time , date and reservation number . When I arrived the person waiting on me told me that they did not have a car for me. Initially he blamed it on me , claiming they had tried to call me numerous times . I showed him my phone log with zero calls from them . Then he changed tactics and tried to blame my insurance company . When I got the insurance rep on the phone , the guy tried to squirrel his way out of talking to them ! Stay away !!! Went though Enterprise as the body shop was connected with this car rental company. Much of everything was the same exterior checklist for damage before I drove off. I got in the car and was overwhelmed by the cars fragrance as to make me drive home with the windows opened. The scent they sprayed to mask something got in my clothes to make matters worst. I have been a loyal Enterprise customer for many years. However, all things must come to an end. I made a reservation for a premium SUV in advance, was contacted by the local Enterprise office to confirm the reservation, which l did. During our conversation l specified that l need to have the premium SUV because of space. They said it wouldn't be a problem, the day before my trip l head down to pick up the vehicle only to 1st attemp to be tricked by the agent saying a Dodge Durango or Ford Flex are considered premium SUV's, then when l spoke up and called out the error the agents said you are correct. I asked what happened to the vehicle l reserved, they said it was returned damaged. They could have contacted me when the vehicle was returned so l can make other arrangements but they didn't. I guess they were expecting me to take the car's they had available. Fortunately l was able to get the vehicle with another car rental company. Beyond disappointed, not that it matters to Enterprise. read more

I rented from Enterprise rather than one of the other car rental companies at the Reading airport because it picks up and drops off and I was was coming into Reading by bus to rent a car. My rental was from a Friday afternoon with the return on Sunday during the 10-1PM hours it was open. My bus back was at 1PM and I expected to be on it. On SundayI called from 10 AM through 12:30 PM attempting to speak to the office to ask which exit I needed to take from the highway I was traveling on. No matter when I called the location I was put on hold. As I drove I would put my phone on speaker expecting someone at the office to answer. Because of being unfamiliar with Reading when I reached the city, I got off the highway in West Reading. Even with google maps on my ipad (while a call was on hold) I could not navigate to Morgantown Rd. What I finally did was go back on the highway to the downtown bus station just as I saw my 1PM bus leave, hired a cab to drive with me following to Enterprise on Morgantown where I left the car and keys in the dropbox. Calling the next morning to ask why I could not contact someone at the office on Sunday, I was told that Sunday was a busy day and although two people were working, they did not have time to answer calls -- either they were with customers or on the phone. The manager offered not to charge me for the "extra" day, since my rental was to be returned on Sunday, but would not reimburse me for the cost of the taxi, which was $15. There was no consideration that I had missed my bus connection. I suggested that the location needed to have a system better than just putting calls on hold FOREVER, such as being able to leave a message for call back and the commitment to return urgent phone calls -- which mine would have been. At one point about noon as I was driving in West Reading, I called Enterprise roadside assistance to ask if there was another number the agent could call to contact the location but the only number was the number I had been dialing for the past 2 hours. He tried calling it but said he was put on hold. I also called Customer Assistance, which had no suggestions of what to do. For a company that advertises customers count and offers the big advantage of pick up and drop off, Enterprise needs to rethink how it handles calls on hold and being responsive to the customer I was yesterday. read more

I've rented from Enterprise many times over the years and often from this location. Most recently, I rented a Kia Sorento for a long weekend trip to Maine (June 19-22). My experience with the staff and with the car was excellent. I used to be a regular Hertz customer, but I find that Enterprise is more convenient, with better prices, with higher quality service and great cars. Even though I didn't need it this time, their pickup service is a life saver. Overall, I am a very satisfied customer of Enterprise and especially this location. read more

I have been a loyal customer with Enterprise for over a decade. I always used them for personal and business rentals, but after my most recent rental, I will not do business with Enterprise ever again. Over the years I have rented dozens of vehicles and not once did I ever pay more than $15 for their insurance coverage. This time, it was over $40. Almost as much as the rental itself. The young man renting me my car just felt free to not mention the extra charges, so I hope Enterprise has enjoyed my money. They've just lost a loyal customer to dishonest and shady business practices and they will never get another dime out of me. read more

This Enterprise has served me consistently well over the years. I usually deal with the one on Morgantown Rd and found them to be the best! I love that they transport you to and from their site. This time I had the choice of several cars and ended with a Kia Soul. It had just come back from Labor Day weekend trip and desparately needed cleaning. I have used this office for car rentals at least 6 times a year. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They are very busy, so try to avoid the "rush" when they open and in late afternoon. Cars are well-maintained and nice to drive. read more
