Zachary Trumbull is a very shady branch manager. DO NOT USE THIS ENTERPRISE. Zachary had me charged $646 for supposedly consenting to pay for a day to day insurance. EVEN THOUGH, it was a corporate account renting it for me. He even saw my insurance on his end but insisted that I must have decided I would rather pay 25$ a day for a rental that a corporate company got for me because they ruined my wife's car. He maintained a pompous and arrogant attitude throughout the discussion, and his demeanor alone is shady enough to ensure we never return to this location again. Do not walk away. Run away. I rented a car that when I tried to fullly accelerate it took a long time to get from 0 to 20. I had people yelling at me when I tried to make a turn and holding up traffic or when I tried to drive after a complete stop. I called the Enterprise and told Zackary I thought it was unsafe to drive the car, but he was OK for me to drive it back. When I arrived Zach tried to convince me it was because it was a 3 cylinder resident a car that needed service. Do not use this place! I made a reservation over a month ago and now learn hours before the pick up that they will not honor the reservation because they have to serve contracts for large insurance companies due to the hurricane. I specifically asked if the insurance company request usurp my customer reservation and the answer was "yes"! I feel for those impacted by the hurricane but now it negatively impacts me and creates additional burden because we cannot go without the vehicle. There is no sense making a reservation when it will not be honored. The entire purpose of the reservation is to "reserve" the vehicle for the time period you requested! They are trying to find another vehicle but it is smaller than the one we request so uncertain whether it will work. If I fail to bring one back when I said I would there are penalties...so when they give away your reservation why are there not similar penalties? Congress needs to build in protections for customers! Update: they managed to get the car I reserved - but the research I did was a learning for me that they can be held accountable. read more

Do not use this place. Run. I was charged an extra $193.00 cleaning fee because they said they smelled smoke and we DO NOT smoke. We cleaned and vacuumed the vehicle before returning it. It was cleaner than when we got it. Manager was not willing to give us the fee back. He actually acted like we were lying and he didn't believe us. I wish I had read the reviews before going here. Instead of being out $600.00, we are out $800.00. Very disappointing. Its all about the money with this company. read more

Cars are clean. But Hailey, Branch Manager at Fruitville location, is on a power trip. She's always speaks down to you. She Ran my card mid convo, without auth, then said card declined, and that I have to return car. Updating the card wasn't an option, even though, that isn't Enterprise policy, that's what she personally decided. Another Enterprise Employee CONFIRMED THIS FACT. Other Enterprise employee was very nice, said to bring in new card. Once I was there, I was told that it would require a new contract and would require new deposit and that they couldn't move my $300 deposit they already have from one to another. So I have to wait until they refund my deposit, so I can give them new deposit. They knowingly left me without a vehicle while having my money. She didn't allow me to extend my contract. To add insult to injury, I'm an Enterprise Plus Member and have been for 15 years. Hailey, without notice, required me to turn the car in and couldn't extend. I had my purse, phone, and drink sitting in lobby. After being informed I'm being left without a car, I proceed to walk outside to car, (my stuff still sitting in lobby), so that I could gather my personal belongings from car. She hastily and aggressively followed me, creating a scene, stating outloud, "mam, you need to return the keys right now!" I stated 3 times I was gathering my belongings. When she was darn near running me other, I stopped to ensure her I was only gathering my belongings. When I stopped, she almost ran right in to me!!!!! I am disabled, and stress exasperates it. Another step forward and it would be battery on a disabled person. WOW!!!! I didn't get chance to refuel or clean the car, as I always have done upon return. I want my $$$$ SHE deducted from my security deposit. I have never had such an unprofessional and threatening experience as a customer. Bad business. I will never go back because it's clear my business isn't valued after 15 years as a "Valued plus" member. Yeah, way to make the customer feel valued. ****UPDATE I have called Corporate. I have spoken to their "escalations" team on 3 separate occasions in the last 7 days. Still waiting for a call back from a Corporate Manager! (Yeah right!). Reporting to state too. read more

The first car they got me was not what I wanted or needed, but thankfully they were able to fix it thanks to Benji He was able to get me a substitute car that was even better than what I had originally intended. I'm here visiting my family in Sarasota for about two weeks and needed a rental vehicle for the weekend so I reserved a rental at the Fruitville location due to the Washington location I normally go to was out of cars. I'm always allowed to rent a vehicle using my debit card but was told today by this lady that was on duty around 1pm that she needed my credit card. I advised the enterprise rep that I rented back in December at the Washington location without this problem. I will not be returning and will also give my feedback on the enterprise survey. read more

This site is okay if you are in a rush and only plan to rent for a day or two. But really lacks a vehicle variety to make it appealing. They do not have any standard, full size vehicles. It is perfect for a small compact or F150 truck. Seriously wanted me to have that as an option versus my normal luxury vehicle. Ended up with a smaller car since it was only a 3 day rental. Truly needs to improve to remain competitive with the neighborhood. I like Enterprise and will continue to rent from them but will not return to this site. read more

They could not get us a 15 passenger van we requested but did find a 12 passenger that we could use. They worked very hard to make us happy with the change. Very nice and easy to work with. Just realize there are not many of theses vans available even though they state they have them. read more

I don't know how this location has anything less than 5 stars. When picking up/dropping off a rental car I am always mentally prepared for it to take forever, to try and be upsold on everything, and the car is never ready on time. Not at this location. I gave my name, they were ready, gave me the keys, when over everything outside with me, didn't pressure me about insurance and all the extras. I was literally done in less than 5 minutes. I wish every single location was this fast, great customer service. If we are ever in Sarasota again, this is the place we will rent from hands down. read more

Alex Martell is rude to senior citizen with disabilities. Have rented at least 3 times in the past with NO problems. Upon arriving for my rental, was told I was a HIGH RISK due to using a debit card. WTH??? I have NEVER been spoken to in that fashion, nor was I told in advance, or in the past I had to bring a pay-stub and utility bill. Come on, I am 60, retired AND rented from Enterprise in the past. Alex Martell was very confused and DO NOT waste your time here. Everyone has a boss. I will find his and report his demeanor. The manager and the customer service at this location is horrible. Then Enterprise asked me to send my experience to their Care Center, which they escalated it to upper management and I still was never contacted and they did not follow-up. I requested a mid-sized sedan but at pick up I was informed there were no sedans of any size available, no sports cars or small SUVs. No effort to contact me was made so I might have made other arrangements. I was offered the only vehicle at the location, a (large) mini van. I refused the offer to call other Enterprise locations since many were easily an hour away. Since I was going to be the only rider in the car, the van was far too much for me plus it complicated parking space our residence. The customer service rep spent more time explaining "loss of use Liability" risk rather than solving my problem. When the van was returned another rep offered a customer satisfaction discount after she listened to my experience. It didn't help. read more
