I have to say that the Seneca Enterprise will go above and beyond for their customers!!!! I want to thank Camron who did not have to do anything last week but he stepped up and took charge from almost 800 miles away!!! He had to show people in Missouri how a southern gentleman treats a lady!!! Hopefully Patrick learns some southern charm cuz the way he does his job hopefully is not the way he is in real life!!! If only there was a way to leave less than one star! We went to the Enterprise car rental located in Seneca, SC, and reserved a 7-passenger van, a full week before our scheduled 10-hour road trip to visit our son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild. This trip was especially important because it would be the first time our entire family had been together in more than two years. We had planned carefully and were all looking forward to spending this time together. We arranged to pick up the van the day before our departure. As we were finalizing our packing, an associate called my husband and asked if we could delay pickup by two hours. Although inconvenient, we agreed in order to accommodate the request. Then, just thirty minutes before the revised pickup time, the associate called again to inform us that no vehicle was available. We were told that the van reserved for us had not been returned and that another van had mechanical problems and was out of service. In other words, despite making our reservation a week in advance and adjusting our schedule at Enterprise's request, we were left without the vehicle we had been promised. When I spoke with the associate, I insisted that an alternative vehicle be provided. He stated that the only available option was a vehicle located at the Enterprise office at the Greenville airport. I suggested that Enterprise arrange for the vehicle to be transported to the Seneca location so we could proceed with our trip as planned. I was then told that the office closes at 6:00 p.m. and that there was not enough time to make that happen. What is most frustrating is not simply that a vehicle became unavailable--unexpected issues can occur. It is that no meaningful effort appeared to be made to honor our reservation or find a workable solution. We reserved the vehicle well in advance, adjusted our plans to accommodate your scheduling needs, and were ultimately left scrambling at the last minute. The lack of preparation, communication, and customer service turned what should have been an exciting family reunion into an unnecessarily stressful and aggravating experience. read more

If I could give them -5 stars, I would; the service in Columbia, SC, was terrible. They cancelled my reservation without a coherent explanation, charged me $475, and never gave me the car. I filed a claim and was told I'd be refunded within a few days; it's been over two weeks and I'm still waiting. When I call, they say they'll look into it and call me back shortly--and guess what? I'm still waiting. Folks, for what it's worth: don't use this company. Rent a bicycle, rollerblades, or a skateboard--it's safer than dealing with these people. read more

This location used to be 5 star but this summer I had to use it twice and both times the car I rented was not available. The first day I was told to come back in 4 hours caused me to miss a meeting. The second time they didn't have the SUV I had rented and gave me a little sedan at first they were not going to adjust the price but the gentleman from a different location did adjust. Additionally they took forever to put me into the car we nearly missed our flight. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! If I could give less than 1 star I would. I reserved a pickup truck the other day. I took a day off and had to find someone to drive me there and they also missed work. We drove over 30 minutes to get there and was told "sorry no pickups"! However it was confirmed via email. They said you can have a van. I had no choice but to take the van and it didn't work out. Fast forward to today. Same exact thing. Reserved on line took off work same for my driver. We got there today and they said sorry no pickups. I said it was again confirmed by email. The employee said "we can't be responsible for the web site" They offered no apology and acted as if it was my fault for relying on the website! They need to get employees who are capable and better customer relations! THEY ARE TERRIBLE! read more

Rented a midsize SUV on a Tuesday and pick up next day gotten two calls saying it' was ready then till me when I go to pick it up wasn't ready after I payed for it . I called at 8:05 AM and waited on the phone through numerous cycles and finally after waiting eight minutes 45 seconds, I was told that I had to try later. This is a terrible way to run a business. I've been a customer of enterprise for many years, but now I have my questions. This facility seems to have maintenance/management problems. I rented a full-size truck on Monday 3/2/20 for two days (my 19th personal rental since 2017, all with Enterprise). Upon arriving, I was assigned a vehicle and went on my way. When I received home to load my luggage into the vehicle, I noticed damage on the tailgate that neither of us noticed (it was POURING rain) and also noticed a nail in the rear tire. I returned to the location and they "didn't have another truck", despite there being two full size trucks parked in the lot (a white Silverado and a white Dodge Ram). I was given a Dodge Caravan (not what I wanted, reserved, or was promised) and went on my way because I had no other choice. Still pouring rain. Still a rushed inspection. I returned the vehicle early (the next day) after hours. I backed it into the spot right in front of the building and left the keys in the drop box. On Tuesday, I didn't receive my receipt, which was unusual, but I chalked it up to them being busy, when I was there there were 5 or 6 customers and only one girl working. At 1:54am Wednesday I received a damage report. I went to the location at 8:00am when they opened, and the van was gone. I walked inside and was told that they found a dent in the driver's side fender, it was obviously hit by another car. I know for a fact that this damage wasn't present when I returned the vehicle, as do my mother and my wife, both of which picked me up from the location when I dropped the van off. I asked if they had cameras to see what happened to it, they said they didn't and it didn't matter because I was responsible until it was checked in, even if it was on the premises. I said this wasn't right and asked to speak to her supervisor. She called a man named Zachary on her cell and handed me the phone. He said he was in another location and he wasn't going to discuss it with me on the phone. So, I drove ~20 minutes to his location. At this time, he proceeded to show me the contract where it says that you're responsible for the vehicle up until it's checked in, even if it's parked on their lot. Important to note this language isn't in the contract that you are emailed when you pick the vehicle up. I explained that it didn't make any sense that I would be responsible for damages after I returned the vehicle, especially considering they both agreed it was possible, even likely that it was hit because of where it was parked. (For reference, this location is located on a main street with a speed limit of 45 mph and where you turn in there is approximately 20-30 feet before the parking spaces. Additionally, they have over half of the driveway blocked off as a "loading zone" of sorts.) The van was backed into the first space, hardly a place I'd have parked it if it was damaged and if I was trying to hide some type of damage. I asked the girl if they checked the car that was parked next to it, to which she replied "it was an employee's car, they didn't hit it" which is weird considering the spot next to mine is a handicapped spot and I didn't notice any employees working that were handicapped. I am entirely convinced that the van was hit in the Enterprise parking lot after I returned it. There is not enough room for vehicles to leave the road at speed and sufficiently stop before approaching those parking spaces. Additionally, I think it's unreasonable to offer a drop box if the renter is still responsible for the car even after it's on Enterprise property. Finally, and more importantly, it's deceptive, misleading, and dishonest not to disclose this fact more clearly. I cannot believe that it's simply a coincidence that this important piece of information was left off the 'contract' you receive in your email, despite the presence of several other, less important disclaimers. I assume this was designed specifically for situations such as this. The wording in the fine print that you have to click to open and scroll through describes that the renter is responsible until the vehicle is checked in, so even if you returned it and handed the keys to an employee who didn't check it in for 3 hours, you'd still be responsible for it during that time frame. Yep, even handing the keys to an employee doesn't end your rental. In the end, I guess Enterprise will "win" this one and I'll be forced to pay for the damages, but in doing so it's important that they are aware that they're not only losing the business of someone who travels a LOT for work (~10 rentals a year) but someone who owns a service business that leases 5-10 trucks per summer to use as service vehicles for seasonal techs, and has typically used Enterprise for that. I wish I had read my review before spending so much money with them, at this point my 'victory' will come from warning others. If I stop one other person from using Enterprise, I'll consider it money well spent. read more

Our rental was comfy and met the need we had for our trip. There were some "cosmetic" problems with the car. Example windshield had a "star" in it, had to duct tape a storage compartment shut bc the door was broken, busted speaker...we also had ants in the car until we stopped and vacuumed them out. Not the experience I have had in the past with Enterprise but it met our needs. When we returned it, they were so busy they just took our keys and said they would email us. They didn't look it over at all. Maybe that's how all the cosmetic stuff was missed. read more

I have worked with this office and their close associate office on the Clemson University campus (run by the most awesome lady ever, Go Andrea!!!) over the last 5 years and they have been really great! They exemplify "going the extra mile" for their customers and are willing to work with you to ensure you enjoy your period of transaction with them!! Even their pick-up and drop-off drivers are fun to talk to as you drive to and from their rental location. I fully recommend them!!! read more

I've been an Enterprise customer for a long time and really appreciate their pick up service. I typically have had good experiences with them but my most recent rental was frustrating. They charged me more than my online reservation quoted, but they did make it right. This location used to be easy to reach by phone but something has changed. I could never get through to request pick up and had to drive over to their office. I tried to reach them 3 times on my return to ask about a ride home and stayed on hold for a long time, never getting an answer. I had to get someone to pick me up. The car was fine and the price was OK, but something has happened to their level of customer service at this location. read more

Inconsistencies between what the employees say. I called two days in advance of my reservation in order to schedule a pick up from home, but I was told to just call 15 minutes before my pick up time (which was scheduled on a Friday). On the day of my reservation, I called 30 minutes in advance to schedule my pick up time only to be put on hold for 20 minutes and then when someone did answer the phone they said that I was calling last minute and that someone had already been scheduled for my desired pick up time. So they offered to push my time back by 30 minutes, which was fine by me. When the newly scheduled time came for them to pick me up and I was outside waiting, nobody arrived. I called and they said the driver had not been dispatched to my location yet because they still had not returned from the prior location. She told me the location and you have to drive past me to get there and they have to drive past me to get back to enterprise so why they did not pick me up during that trip, I have no idea. I had to wait over an hour after my originally scheduled pick up time just to get picked up and taken to enterprise. That doesn't even include the time it took to reserve the car once I got there. read more

I knew they closed at noon so I started calling at 9:30 am. I literally tried non stop for 2 1/2 hours to call and no one ever answered.. So very unprofessional!!! Car was spotless and advice on procuring extra insurance was helpful and saved me extra payout. I was able to return car to airport at no extra charge. I have a paid reservation at 2pm and have been calling the business' number the entire 4 hours (they close at 6pm). I never got to a real person. Not even a voicemail. After a couple of minutes of hold time, it goes into a long beep like it's connected to a fax machine rather than a phone. As a result, I've been busy calling them for the past four hours but I never got the car I paid for before they closed! In fact I never even managed to speak to a real person or leave a voicemail! Most ironically, the entire time I was on hold, they were playing a message saying "The only way we treat customers is the right way. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for keeping us in business!" You've got to be kidding me!!! This is the worst customer service I've ever had in my whole life with rental cars! Not a single time in the past (and I rent a lot for business trips and vacations) was I unable to get a rental car I already paid for 4hrs before the shop's closing time!!! read more
