1- they never have the car that you ask for and you call before to confirm and they confirm and when you show up nothing available. 2- 2 times I took care from there one time no AC and another horrible smell in the car and there was no alternative so I had to. 3- Even the truck side had no trucks for like 3 weeks ( sitting recalls) so in that case we went with Uhual. The lady then said there might be one at five, after my husband asked more questions turns out there's a long line of people that have been waiting since yesterday for the car that MAY come in later. So this place needs help. I was in an accident and my insurance set up a car for me. I was told the would call in the morning. So I waited for 20 minutes after they opened then I called. I am traveling home after visiting son in Mississippi heading to AZ. So I need car to check on truck at collision shop and head home for work. The gentleman I spoke with in the morning said they did not have any clean cars and it would be sometime in the afternoon. I let him know what had happened and needed to get to shop so they could start on truck and then on road home. He said he could get one ready by 11 and would pick me up at hotel. He asked room # and I gave the choice to call or text and would meet him outside. He said ok and see you soon. Well 12:10 I started calling and no one answered till 12:46. Said someone would pick me up in 6 minutes. Will did not get in car tell 3:08 be cause car was not clean yet. Did see guy sleeping at desk and saw employees leaving then coming back. Guessing they needed their break. So truck sat all day waiting for me to get to shop. Took 20 minutes to take care of truck and then had to stay one more night after waiting all day. Returned the car here from another location since they did not have an Enterprise location at the airport. When I arrived there were three men washing a car off to the side of the office. They were yelling loudly using profanity and I could hear them when I pulled up and when I entered the rental office. Not sure if they were arguing or just talking loudly because of the noise. The person checking me was very pleasant but didn't even acknowledge the yelling, basically just tuned them out or maybe too embarrassed to say anything. If there was a rating of zero, I would choose it. There is an atmosphere of hostility when the customer needs a service they can't provide; horrible customer service. I showed up after several phone calls, two visits to double-check reservation, to find the service people saying there was no van. At that point I asked if they had called around...no. They proceed to call several places AFTER I asked them how to follow up in order to serve the customer...reservation made six weeks in advance...(12 guests, handicap riders, veterans, senior citizens - needed a van). I ended up with a minivan and asking another person to drive their personal vehicle...no sorry, here's an option, etc. When I asked for the employee names (two people - man [I have his name] and a woman with him refused to give names...why? June 21st, I was supposed to be in Tyler Tx for a dog and cat sitting job at my sister's. My car would not start. It was after 4 in the afternoon. I tried to call a tow truck, no luck. Sat. Morning, I called Enterprise to try to rent a car. Got a call center out of town. The lady said I could get a rental. I wanted them to pick me up, because they advertise they would pick me up. Had to call the local office to confirm, called, I was put on hold for 20 min. A friend of mine called me. She took me to the local office. I was told, no cars available. My friend took me to Tyler. I tried to rent a car in the Tyler office. Had to have a credit card. Do not have one, I have a debit. Then I was told I had to live within a 50 mile radius of Tyler. I live in Texarkana Arkansas. I was also told that I could get a friend or family member to rent and add me as a driver. I will not do that. Y'all do nothing but lie. The call center and local office need to get on the same page. I was out of town passing through. Had vehicle problems so I had to leave my vehicle to be worked on. I selected a mechanic close to enterprise. I took care of paper work the night before at my hotel. I still had to walk about a half mile to enterprise. No problem. When I arrived at enterprise they had my vehicle ready. I went through walkthrough and everything ok. When ready to pay they said they would not except my debit card because I was out of state. They needed a credit card . All I use is debit. This leaves me stranded. I walked back to the mechanic and waited for budget to open. They took care of me. And also about half the price. Made reservation weeks in advance for a 15 passenger van which I received an email confirmation to pick it up on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. Drove 90 minutes to get to Texarkana and arrived at the enterprise office only to find a note saying they were closed until Tuesday. Contacted Enterprise customer service to be told there was nothing they could do and that a regional manager would contact me within 24 hours. Went to rent from them and the dude asked to see my id was a Louisiana and he immediately refused to do anything with me. He said you got to have 2 bills showing you're a TX resident and a debit card and my id. I said okay, and then he said "No, you got to have a major credit card too along with the other." I have never had such a bad experience at enterprise. We were stranded with a blown out engine and the manager was very short and rude to us. We didn't have a credit card only a debit card and because we aren't from Texas they refused to rent to us. The manager rushed us to figure out what we were gonna do and acted like we were unimportant compared to the other customers. I would never recommend them and we ended up renting a car from national auto discount rentals and they treated us so well. The individual that checked me in and checked me out was very polite and empathetic to the 45 minute wait experience we had checking in. Upon arrival to our RV park, I called the Enterprise location and was told that there were no pickups of customers on the weekends. I explained that we made the reservation with Enterprise because we were traveling in an RV with no transportation options. I made a reservation on May 19, 2015 for a 15 passenger van for a family trip on July 1, 2015. The morning of July 1 I get a phone call from Enterprise that they do not even have 15 passenger vans at that location and shame on the agent that made the reservation in the first place. This was the second time I had to rent a car while visiting family in Texarkana. The first time I had to choose an airport based company because I was returning the car to Love Field, but this time I'm glad I had the option to go with Enterprise on Summerhill. First, for a Texas side visitor, the office is more conveniently located than traveling all the way to the airport. Second, even though the location is very busy (I think they need to be allotted a larger fleet), they tried their best to accommodate my need for an earlier reservation time. Third, the staff was very courteous and helpful during the entire process. I had the pleasure of speaking with Tyler several times on the phone and in person. He was very professional, efficient, and welcoming - taking his time to fully answer my questions and offer personalized service especially considering the volume of business they do if the amount of phone calls received is any indication. I hate that the reviewer had a bad experience, but I fear most of it is a result of corporate policy rather than the location itself. read more

This experience would have been hilarious if it wasn't right before I was about to go on a 17 hour long drive. I'll keep this short or I'll be writing a novel: Drivers license scans were lost, I had to go in 3 times to get this taken care of, car was delivered 6 hours late, they tried to charge me $600 more than the original quoted price and kept adding in nickle and dime bullcrap when all I wanted was the car (it took multiple phonecalls to communicate this), they delivered a car that was 2 classes down from what I selected and tried to convince me it was just as good (Nissan versa vs Chrysler 200... at least it had cruise control) which it definitely wasn't (way smaller and not comfy), and oh good god the wait times... the wait times! I was on the phone or standing in line for well over 5 hours trying to rent one car and trying to fix all of the problems there were with this reservation.... I start my trip tomorrow, so I'll add in an edit if anything else notable happens. read more
