We rented a vehicle for a vacation through our Costco membership. Yuba City had the best prices by a mile. The only issue we had was the interior of the car was not cleaned before we got it. There was food, a press on nail, and a toddler sized sandal around the rear row of seats. We bagged up what we found and let them know upon return of the rental. The representative apologized several times and even took a daily rental rate off the total, which was unexpected. My biggest concern was the toddler shoe. If you've had the privilege to parent one, you know the impending meltdown when they cannot wear their favorite shoes. We will definitely use this Enterprise location in the future. read more

My vehicle along with three others were all rented with engine lights on. This light had to be cleared every time I started the car. The car itself although new was dirty and I took it to a car wash immediately after picking it up. I would have denied taking the car however, there were no others available. The rental experience was poor. It was evident the employees do not care about professionalism or customer service and care. When I brought my issues to their attention and I was dismissed. I was very frustrated, but had a company trip and had no other option at this point. I returned the car early and after hours. I stopped by on my way to the office the next morning and asked for my receipt so I could turn it into accounting along with my expense report. I was told I would receive it in an hour. I waited four hours with no response. I called the rental location repeatedly throughout my day and no one answered the phone. I called customer service who issued a ticket to the rental location so I could get my receipt. It was ignored. I had to stop by after work and wait in line to get a copy of my receipt. The man I spoke to earlier in the morning when I stopped by saw me but ignored me which made me re-explain my inquiry and needs to another employee. I was finally able to get my paperwork. My company utilizes Enterprise as well as Hertz, I have made a formal request to never book my future rentals with Enterprise. read more

Another experience with Enterprise on this site (Yuba city) , this time Josè was helping me. The experience was another pleasant one and it went as expected. I had made the reservation 2 weeks prior, and when I got there the vehicle was not ready yet, they had to clean it up and I had to wait about 20 minutes (which at the time I did not mind waiting), but maybe for future reference and also for others that may be in a rush to be somewhere, to maybe have the vehicle ready for them; especially when it's reserved ahead of time. I'm positive for a fleet their size, they have to have more than just one of "The specific vehicles " type in their lot. The vehicle traveled and drive smoothly as expected. They were able to also accommodate to take me home after I returned the vehicle (they have a specific distance of how far they can take and pick up their customers). Suzi, the lady that took me home was knowledgeable about the route and I got home safe. Thank you all for the help and services you were able to provide me and my family. Enterprise is always my first choice when taking a road trip with my family. I joined their members cub so I receive points on every rental I reserve. I usually book my vehicles on a weekly basis because I notice that it is equal to or in some cases, less than 3 single day rentals. I also love the fleet of vehicles available (dark blue, drop-top, mustang with some nice HORSEPOWER was my preferred car all summer 2023 Last but not least!!! Firstly, the guest service needs improvement. Secondly, as a car rental company, you should not act as if your cars are unavailable and then suddenly offer something else. If you plan on sticking to the insurance amount on a rental purchase, they won't accommodate that. I would not recommend it for personal use. read more

Rented a car for my birthday, the pricing was fair. The car we rented was a Nissan Rogue hybrid. Amazing gas milage 150 $ in total we spent that is including fueling it up and returning it total trip was 11hours. The price for each day was fair. Update... I emailed customer service as they requested. I sent the email on April 19; received a reply saying they would escalate it to the YC location management and have them get in touch with me. After several emails more to customer service letting them know that I have not heard anything, and getting the same reply back (that they will get in touch with management), I resort to the fact that customer service is just responding to reviewers to save face; as in pretending to be doing something about it, but in reality doing nothing. Sadly, seems as if employees don't care about customer service, which makes the Enterprise company look bad. Do better Enterprise; train your employees, or get new ones that represent your company better. read more

Like many locations getting an employee on the phone is an Act of God. After several tries on several days crossing the country I gave up and arrived by Uber in the evening. After several employees ignored those waiting in line to oddly talk on phones I was told no cars were available at this time (reasonable) and none would be until tomorrow afternoon and it would cost about $150 for a day. He booked one in Sacramento for $155 but they didn't answer the phone either so there was no way to ensure that car was there. So I went to the hotel across the street for the night and booked the same car where they said they had no cars until the next afternoon for $103 at 10AM the next morning, they provided it at 8AM and pushed to pay a $20 upgrade and I agreed to $10 so I could get going. They then explained the car is 3/4 full which is a common practice with this chain I suspect to help sell the pre paid gas option at an attractive per gallon price but be sure to ask what the minimum number of gallon purchase is. The car was fine. My problem is with the pushy management style to screw the customer as much as possible. read more

The worst, and it just never got better. I had a friend in San Francisco who needed cancer surgery and I went to help. Since I didn't want to leave my car on the street in San Francisco I rented a car to go and come back. The day I rented the car someone tried to charge $50 to Kohl's. I have never shopped at Kohl's. Once in San Francisco (I was there for about a week) when it came time to return I discovered (nobody in this office told me) that just because you rent a car and drop it off in San Francisco, you can't reverse the process. The web site says over and over and over at every place you try you can't rent a car and drop it in another city. What I learned was you can only do that at the airport. So on the day I was supposed to leave I took a Lyft out to the Enterprise location at the airport, and was told there despite my reservation that you can't use an ATM/debit card, only a credit card (even though I used my ATM/debit card in Yuba City to rent the car to get to San Francisco in the first place). I couldn't use my credit cards because they were maxed out at the time from home renovations I had going on. Had they said something -- ANYTHING -- I could have done a payment in advance and used the card, but they didn't UNTIL I was literally at the airport. This company is run by idiots. Amateur hour junior college grads at best, it seems. So I had to give up on that, and take a SECOND Lyft back to the apartment in San Francisco and stay another day. Those two Lyft rides cost me about $100 that ALL could have been saved if the person HERE AT THIS LOCATION who rented me the first car had told me. So in San Francisco I called the place I dropped off the first car and explained the situation and he told me the web site won't let you rent a car in SF and leave it elsewhere, but THEY CAN if you come in and rent in person. Jesus Christ! Oh, and that's normally ANOTHER $200 to leave the car at a different drop off point but we'll only charge you $150. THAT guy was great, and helpful despite the charge, but guess what? On the day I returned the car to the Yuba City location there was yet another charge for something like $973 for someone trying to charge electronics on my ATM/debit card. I had to shut down the card and wait about a week for the new card. I don't know if someone in this location is using my card or if they have such lax security on their mobile devices they use in the parking lot that someone is intercepting that information, but this was an horrendous experience that made the reason I was in San Francisco so much worse. Then I get a nasty e-mail a few days later saying "First Notice!" It looks like Enterprise tried to charge my now closed ATM/debit card for my bridge tolls. So of course that didn't go through because the card was shut down. I don't blame them for trying to get their money for the toll but they have to start out with a nasty e-mail like I'm trying to skip out on the payment? What to do now? Is this real? If I give them my new card or a credit card are the mystery charges going to start all over again? The link in the e-mail doesn't work. They spelled my middle name wrong. What's em.com? Is any of this legit or another scam? Today's memorial day and I'm trying to resolve this and no one anywhere answers a phone. I tried to make the payment online using their link and it failed. I literally cannot get this off my To Do list to save my life. Moral of the story? Never plan on using a debit card with this company, only a credit card. If you DO use a debit card, they won't tell you you need two proofs of payment of some kind until you're at their office to drive away in the car (fortunately I was able to call up my PG&E and internet provider bills on my phone). NONE OF THIS NEEDED TO BE THIS DIFFICULT. NONE OF THIS NEEDED TO BE DIFFICULT AT ALL. Never expect to get the car you booked in advance (I booked a sedan, they gave me a minivan with no trunk, so all my stuff was in plain view and I couldn't make any stops between Yuba City and San Francisco). Never expect this to cost you what they tell you it will cost -- plan on at least double or triple with all the hidden charges. The Enterprise in San Francisco was just fine and there were no mystery charges on my card, but there was a mystery charge on my car both coming and going (about a week apart) from THIS particular location. (Again, I don't know if that's someone on staff doing this or someone intercepting their signal from their wireless devices used in the parking lot.) In the end it would have been less expensive to take my own car and pay $100 a night for secure parking rather than to use Enterprise. And the stupidity and thoughtlessness of this company simply never ends. No matter what you do you can't get people on the phone or get anything resolved or even click a link in their own e-mail and have it open on a browser. It's total amateur hour and a scam. read more

My car unfortunately was unavailable, so Amer showed me other options and provided important info on each of them - very knowledgeable! After choosing an alternative, turns out it needed an oil service, so we looked again. Eventually he got me into a better vehicle than I reserved AND he gave me a discount for the inconvenience!!! Not impressed whatsoever, ever since dealing with the Y.C. branch I have been dissatisfied. I'm paying $150 a day to rent a ghetto van with: -trim missing from window -crack In windshield (middle of driver side view) -"low key fob" error code on dash - and misc. other light for auto-start function Booked an appt online for noon (which I was informed when I arrived they closed @ noon also) The employees when picking up the rental were much more excited to leave for the day than address my concerns but that's normal. I pointed out the trim missing and other small items but when they expressed there unwillingness to help I signed the papers and drove on, no worries. I immediately noticed the key fob low dash indicator and a prominent crack in the center of the driver side windshield, annoying and ghetto but not a disaster, yet. Packing the vehicle I configured the seats and noticed it wasn't cleaned very well with trash and whatnot under the seats, again no problem but annoying. The main issue was being up at the national park without any service and an Amber check engine light comes on with an "@!" symbol, I could not get reception so spent hours figuring out it wasn't an automatic transmission issue but a probable start-stop ignition problem. This happened and was nerve-racking continually going on and off, when I was able to get reception and called enterprise the third party phone operator was less than helpful. Atleast I was notified it wasn't a major malfunction. I rent vehicles frequently & I've been treated better by almost every other branch and rental company, including Hertz which is cheaper. This is the reason I stopped going to Hertz, ghetto vehicles with bad customer service etc. There is no point in coming to enterprise when you get the same ghetto vehicles and bad service and still have to pay a premium price. Someone bring Alamo to Northern California, they are the only rental company that tries to rent with good rates, customer service and integrity. read more

I would like to give a shout out to Manvir, who especially went above and beyond to help me with my car rental, he has exceptional patience and is very good at his job. I would also like to say that Ivan the manager goes above and beyond to help as well. I've been renting from this location for months now because I got into an accident and my car was totaled if it wasn't for these wonderful staff members who have served me with the utmost customer care and appreciation , I don't know what I would do. This location was very accommodating, and the service was great. Make sure your insurance actually reserves your vehicle because they just send over a reservation without a vehicle. You could get stuck with whatever vehicles they have left. Hopefully, that makes sense we got stuck with a big traverse we didn't want because of that. read more

Overall experience wasn't great and I'm only not giving it a 1 star because of 1-2 people. I understand this is the only branch in YC and there's probably not a lot of vehicles to hand out all at once but the lack of professionalism in the some of the employees is insane. First, there were about 6-8 people waiting 2+ hours for their vehicles. 4 of us had to wait 30+ minutes to even be "checked in" while half of the employees were sitting outside laughing talking about whatever was going on in their dramatic lives. Not a "hello", "sorry for the wait, we'll be right with you". Nothing. Secondly, while all of the clearly "experienced" employees stood around laughing in the corner, the two new employees were trying to handle all of the customers, updating the 6-8 of us when they were able to. Clearly stressed out. The "experienced" employees were giving them attitude when they asked for help or had a question. Anyways, I just wanted to really touch base on the fact that there was one female employee that instead of wanting to do her job decided to pull a couple of the employees that also weren't doing anything to the side to look at some crazy photo in their little work email traffic so that she can laugh about how funny or crazy it was. While we all were all sitting there at this point for 2 hours. Customer's should not be able to hear you make fun of other people or what it truly sounded like a previous customer that possibly caused damage to a car or was something very personal. That was super uncomfortable to witness. On a good note; Angela was awesome she deserves 5 stars. She carried herself very professionally and when it was my turn to be sent out the door, she was very apologetic for the wait time. She was also very thorough on the added coverages that I was able to purchase as well as the overall inspection of the car and what exactly she was looking at and the reason behind it. I can go into detail but she did great at getting me & the few people before me out the door and into their car. She handled everything really well. Returning my car, I believe it was Jose that helped me. He was nice as well and he also carried himself very professional. Rented a transit passenger van for work. The doors did not shut properly so I had to manually turn off the lights. The front passenger door seal was so bad that no one could hear each other talk over the noise. These were vips. It also had not been cleaned very well if at all. read more

I booked with Enterprise because they had the extra service of picking me up. I dropped off my car for repairs at a near by auto machanic shop and called Enterprise for pick me. They said the driver is not in yet until another hour. Luckily, one of the auto machanic dropped me off. I get to Enterprise and got all checked in. They said my car is not available. The guy in the front said I was early. My reservation was at 10:30 and I was there at 10:35 so I was a bit late. Lucky for me the previous renter returned the car early, I waited about 30 minutes. read more

It would be nice if I wanted an economy car to rent, but if they're out of it, it would be fair to charge me for an economy price for the next tier model, than waiting 5-8hrs from now or till tomorrow till the car gets returned from another person who rented the last economy car. The car rental was arranged by Mercury Insurance. It was not clean. I had the car for one week and probably did not drive 100miles. On the day of return after refueling, the car would not start because both keyfob batteries were dead!!! While parked at the pump I called the local rental location and after 15 minutes of being on hold was disconnected. I called again and was on hold for 11 minutes when I asked a total stranger to take me there which he did. Upon arrival there was one employee inside and not at the front counter.There were at least four employees outside washing cars. At that time I was driven to the local body shop to retrieve my own car. I was told I would receive a call and all related paperwork which has not happened. I worked in the travel business for 25 years and have rented many cars. Some with Enterprise and always at airports. The Yuba City rental location could use a make over. read more

Car pick up was quick and smooth but when I came to return my car took over 30 mins just to drop my car off. They weren't very busy but employs were spending time grouped up talking about non work related stuff. Also using prsfnity while having their conversations. Multiple F bombs dropped. Every other enterprise you pull up in car return area and some one comes to help you, waited for over 10 mins then went inside for another 20 minutes before they accepted my car return. Even when you an appointment they never have a car ready. They take walk-ins before ppl with appts so those ppl get the cars that were really reserved for you then they offer a replacement car that is either too small or cost more. The customer service at this establishment is really bad. There is a guy that works there that is extremely rude. Why make appointments if you don't stick to them? I don't get this place. I would say I'll never go again but they are basically the only place in town which sucks. Maybe they can do something about their customer service. read more

The online reservations are always effortless; if I need changes or clarification....get this....they answer the phone immediately; staff is always friendly and value our time to get us in snd out; and, really, we have not one complaint. Even if we don't like the car, they help us find the right fit for our trip and clarify the rental charges so we understand. We tried going to another Enterprise and it was a nightmare experience! Had to rent a car for 2 weeks while mine was repaired. No problems with the initial paperwork to pick it up (other than they were super busy and short handed) and drove it for 4 days. Called to report a weird "Battery Discharge Warning" that kept popping up and they were super supportive, getting me a new car right away even though the warning didn't appear when I returned it. The new car also was great (no warnings). I had to extend the time 4 days due to unexpected additional car repairs (isn't that always the way?) and then actually returned it 2 days earlier. Would recommend this place, except on Monday mornings. The staff really helped and was super polite and considerate. Yes, they were/are understaffed, but did the best they could given the circumstances. My refund was processed within a day. read more

First time dealing with Enterprise, and it was an awful experience! I had scheduled an appt for a vehicle to be dropped off at 8AM at the repair shop where I was leaving my car for repairs. 8:15, I called them and they assured me someone was on there way. 8:45, the driver came to PICK ME UP. I'm confused at this point, because I specifically told them I wanted them to DROP OFF my rental!!! 9:00, I get to Enterprise, have to wait in a short line, there's a $50 deposit and paperwork and then back to waiting... 9:30, girl takes me out to my car, inspection of vehicle, sign some more paperwork. 9:45, finally driving away from that hell hole. 1 hour 45 minutes of my life. Soooo annoying. Thank goodness the awesome repair shop I went to got my car back fast! And they took care of getting the car back to Enterprise for me! read more
