Besides books, this may be the best place in GJ to buy greeting cards, unless you get yours at the gas station at the last minute. Also, they have a large selection of journals and some drawing supplies. Bookstores aren't dead, we just have to reimagine their purpose!

There was a very rude sign on the door about you can't look around or ask any questions. I took my chances and walked in. I asked the woman if it was ok if I looked around. She said that they were plagued by shoplifters and couldn't wait to get of this town. Worst vibe I have ever had while shopping in a local store. I bought a few things, (they do have some great stuff). Charged me extra for using a debit card. I won't be back, but I would have spent much more if it were a more welcoming environment.

The owner was a lady saying that they were open not closed, when I got in there, she asked me if I needed to mijo and I said I was just looking and not even five minutes after arriving into the shop I was told in a rude tone of voice by the owner of the shop, who was the only person in at the time that I needed to hurry up because my allotted time limit in the shop was almost over. They have a lot of stuff cluttered together so it's difficult to actually view everything within their supposed of allotted time limit I was told to prevent shoplifters when there was no one else even in the shop but myself I was wearing spandex shorts and a T-shirt, carrying my phone, money, and keys no place to hide or steal some thing I felt as if I was being accused of stealing or shoplifting within only under five minutes of being in the shop while the whole time the female owner was sitting on a phone not even paying attention I feel if they're going to do a timer maybe they should organize their store to not have as much merchandise clumped together, so people can easily see all the items that they supposedly have. Not only that you can tell some of the crystals have been what seems to be put back together as if it was broken and put together. I have never been in a Crystal shop or a rock shop or a spiritual type of shop where I've had such negativity and rude tone of voice from someone working within a shop and accusations that were false just walking in the door. I highly advise to stay clear of the shop unless you want to be rushed and accused if you're asked why there's a timer for you to be in the shop of shoplifting, also from what I saw many of the crystals in their condition were over priced for the short amount of time that I could see what they had. I recommend going to the other store in downtown Grand Junction called Crescent Moon spiritual goods. When I went to that location I asked if they had a timer for their customers that were there to buy goods and they said no so if you go there, you have time to look for the items and a friendly peaceful environment.

Been coming here for years. Finally decided to leave a review. There is no questioning that this is…read morea cool store , great selection of music, posters etc. Have noticed this aspect im about to mention every single time I see these two people..either the owner, or his son. Absolutely miserable demeanors..rarely a "smile" rarely a "hello"..they both appear to have the personalities of stones. I believe they get away with this because they have little to no competition on the western slope. Sometimes when I've come in, there have been different employees than these two, and the difference is striking ..but these owners ..I mean..wow. The arrogance reeks . I would venture to say that many people who give this place 5 stars would acknowledge this..ie, great store, unfriendly arrogant owners. This is the result of 30 + years with no competition in a small town. Nobody should expect "Disneyland" service and smiles and welcomes ..but neither should one have to deal with what I've described here.

Been spending a lot of money there and loved buying local until my last experience. Owner jacked up…read morethe prices from one week to the next. Staff is usually awesome but not this person. Many times the records we buy are scratched or not the correct record in sleeve but I wanted to support their business, but not anymore. Boxes upstairs collecting dust but up the price to just make money. Very disappointing. Lost a customer!
