I picked Entspannt Gesund off of Yelp because they had good reviews, and they were near my office. I have filled two prescriptions for physical therapy there, and I have been mostly satisfied, with a few exceptions.
For my first prescription, I was having pain in my hip. I was paired up with Ms. Michaelis, who is Filipina and speaks English very well, and she was great at trying to find muscular sources for my pain, along with giving me some simple exercises to do at home. She is also super-friendly.
For my second prescription, Ms. Michaelis was on parental leave, so at first I was paired with Ms. Aurich, who is the founder of the practice. She is also a osteopath, so she did a lot of just sitting there and holding my body or muscles, often for minutes at a time, to no apparent effect. During this course I also worked with Ms. Hubrich, who is more of a straight-up physiotherapist and gave me both massage and some stretches and exercises.
In the end, it turns out that my hip pain is cartilaginous, and PT wouldn't have helped either way. (The orthopedist is getting 2 stars.) But I like this practice, and would visit again if I needed to.
A few important tips: you can make appointments online, but not for Ms. Aurich. You can also make appointments in person, but their receptionist is only available on Monday mornings until 13:00, so you'll have to call/visit during those hours. read more
