I initially called CertaPro for a painting estimate. I did not realize (as they do not advertise…read morethis) that they also do drywall repair. We had water damage from a burst pipe. CertaPro did our drywall repair and painting. The work was very good; however, the workmen had to be monitored. On two separate days, they stopped work before checking that all the work was finished. Had I not been paying close attention, we would have needed an additional day of work and an additional trip to the house. The workmen also did not communicate with us; they would leave without saying a word, one time after being there less than an hour. I had to regularly call the project manager to inquire about when to expect the workers.

I see other positive reviews, so that's probably the case - but here is my experience: I bought a home 4 months ago. At the time of buying, the home showed some signs of foundation settling that concerned us. So, our agent called "some guy she knew". Turned out to be someone from National Foundation. He went out to the house with just our agent and told her his findings, which she relayed to us via phone call. He found basically that the foundation had settled but that it wasn't a concerning amount and that the settling was done, and that the house wouldn't sink further. The settling didn't warrant foundation repair. I would've loved to get this in writing. This brief consultation cost us $175. When I asked for the findings to be put in a report for my records (basically, I just wanted to have his 10-minute glance at the house put into writing), I was told that this was an additional $300. So, since I was already $175 deep, and since the rep. from National Foundation informed us that the foundation didn't need work, I decided to pass. Today is 4 months later. The foundation has settled even further since we bought it, and it should've been repaired in June. So, not only did we pay $175 for a brief look at the house that was relayed to us by an unprofessional phone call, but the information of that phone call wasn't even correct. We essentially paid $175 to be misled. Like I said, this was probably a one-off and they probably do know what they are doing. But I will now personally be going to other companies to have the repair work done now.

pelican roofing doesn't have carpenters per Kit or Kid. they hit three gas lines in my attic,…read morecausing a severe gas leak that was near deadly in my home and could've blown up my entire neighborhood and that is witnessed by the gas company. They tore off pieces of my chimney and when they nailed it back, that is where the nails went through the chimney they don't carpenters and can't paint it so I'm not quite sure of what they had on my roof nailing stuff if they don't have carpenters working for them, but it was nothing but non-English speaking people and there was not an English speaking person on my the day and a half that they were here, but they managed to speak three sentences of cursing when something went wrong. I am assuming that they knew they a gas line at some point when things started hissing because the gas people when they detected the gas leak heard the hissing coming from the chimney. Pelican Roofing accepted responsibility to reconnect the should've connected from the hot water heater to the they did not reconnect the gas or light the hot water caused me to have to hire someone to come out and reconnect the gas and hot water heater and they pay for it at the time and still have not paid for it. They are refusing to pay for the other two gas leaks that they prior to were no gas leaks when I moved in this house and there were no gas according to the prior owner and she witnessed that the gas bill shot up $200 over just a few days. Pelican was hired by the prior owner prior to close of this home and not hired by me so they are in for a rude awakening by the time we get through with them. They made a promise that they would do a good job on this home and that did not include tearing the place up. They want to turn around and blame it on building code . Well, if that's the case, no one in points of view should ever use them ever again for fear of building code violations, and maybe no one in Lafayette Parish should ever use them again in fear of building code violations. If Pelican Roofing wants to fight a war, picked wrong person to fight with because I will fight them and so will the old owner of this home that hired them.

I was frantic to find someone who could help out that even so there would be minimal damage. I called Lafayette Roofing and someone came out within the hour to dry the house in until it could be repaired another day. They were friendly and so willing to help us out in our time of need.

The crew was very polite and hard working, they picked up after them selves and cleaned up work area daily, they did a superb job. On the site supervisor was outstanding to work with and communicated extremely well with us. We asked Lafayette Roofing to do a few extras and they were very fair with the price of the add ons. When finished the crew cleaned up very well and site supervisor went over everything with us to make sure we were satisfied before he left. A few days later they followed up and again went over everything to make sure we were satisfied and happy with the job completed and our warranty was given to us. And I have to say, Lafayette Roofing not only does outstanding work, they are probably the best communicators we have worked with. They are very quick to return calls/answer emails and address any concerns or questions. We are so happy we chose Lafayette Roofers, they are a first rate local company!
