I am 73 & I took a fall when my hip bone had come out, I got up into my walker, I was waiting for my husband to come home to go to the hospital when a man came to the door trying to sell me a pest contract! I said NO many times but he wouldn't go. I told him my husband was on his way home & I would ask him. I shut the door on him. I heard our truck pull up, I managed to get to the door looking for help to the truck. My (72) husband was cornered on our walkway by the same man, Matthew D., I called & called him, to try to get him to me. He had already given him his cc & signed trying to get past him to me. I hadn't told him what happened to me because I didn't want to scare him. This Matthew was relentless! Then 30 days later, I get home from having Hip Replacement Surgery to find "2" charges from them. I filed a complaint with BBB Dallas to find 16 complaints ahead of me. They are trying to charge me monthly or $400.xx for Canceling! I want it rescinded, like it never existed & our money back for this months charge. Help! Help! BBB! Or I will have to sue! I let my self get suckered into a contract with Enviro Guard. (Don't fall for this scam.) They skip monthly service and when you call them, they play ping pong telephone with you. If you get to talk to someone, they will hang up on you, tell you they have no authority to resolve the issue, tell you a supervisor will call you back. They dodge direct contact with you once you sign their contract. Stay away from these guys. read more

Hunter Johnson came to my house around 8:00 PM soliciting pest control services and continued his sales pitch even after I explained that I was putting my daughter to bed. I specifically stated that I did not want a contract and was only interested in a one-time service. Despite that, I was later enrolled in a 12-month agreement with a $250 cancellation fee. He also claimed that several of my neighbors used the service and were receiving a special rate. After speaking with those neighbors, I confirmed they were not customers. The service itself was disappointing. The technician did not open room doors during the interior treatment and sprayed portions of the flooring rather than focusing on the baseboards, leaving visible residue and temporary staining that had to be wiped off. Between the misleading sales tactics, being enrolled in a contract I specifically declined, and the poor quality of the service, I would not recommend this company. I only wish I had been rude to the sales rep and shut the door on him. read more

This company doesn't call to schedule an appointment but sends you a text message stating the day they will show up, sometimes including a time window. I had to reschedule so I could be at home so they could spray the inside (we are riddled with ants). The technician never showed up (all day long). When I called to cancel the service, they made me repay the remainder of the contract. Their technician never showed or called, and they never apologized. read more

My parents use them often at their home. But after having multiple encounters with an employee who lives in the same complex as me, I've requested they don't use them anymore. This employee (not sure of his name.) has a New Mexico symbol on his calf. And he's been rude every time our paths cross, from dirty looks, or just ignoring us. He parks like he shouldn't even be driving a company truck, not to mention he doesn't even park at his correct building either. He parks at ours or the one across. My grandson signed up with this company which charges him monthly, but comes out and spray bi-monthly. We didn't have an infestation but occasionally saw a bug. Now we see a bug or two daily. I don't know what solution they use, but it doesn't work. Sometimes I believe they use water, or water their solution down. I do not recommend this company at all! this company is a complete scam. Trying to get in touch with them to communicate is like pulling teeth. It took me over 10 days trying to cancel my service with more than 10 attempts at communicating with them. They try to send an agent out to spray despite my attempts to cancel. After finally being able to cancel with them, and paying the invoice for the early termination fee, they continue to spam text my personal number claiming that the invoice never went through. My card was charged, and the charge cleared by my credit card company. I received an invoice receipt from them. They do not call to discuss the matter, but spam text you links instead. Take the if you decide to go with this company. The above is forever I do not recommend them even if they were the only option. Pests would be a lesser headache than dealing with these people (?machines). read more

FRAUD of a "pest control" company. This company does not show up to scheduled service appointments and will not show up when needed. They are quick to want to charge you although they do not provide service and will immediately want to charge you to completely cancel any business with them although they do not provide anything. The call service center they have, a lady with name of Kylee, has absolutely no idea of the meaning of customer service and will hang up on you when you request to speak to a manager or higher up. Apparently, they all work remote, and this is their excuse for not showing up or being able to fix the crappy services they offer. Technican lied about completing service at my home on 1/26. Said they knocked on door. Security camera showed no one came to door nor their truck arrived at our property. Don't get sucked in by this company! They come to your front door and make promises of being the best pest control company you can possibly find and at a great price! However, the technician doesn't do everything that the salesman promises and doesn't do all of the services as per the contract. The company is very difficult to work with because the communication with them is mostly electronic and they seem to not read your messages until you try to cancel the service. As mentioned in other posts, they immediately respond with the bill of $162. that you now owe for canceling their bad service! The problem is that they promise a service that is not delivered per the contract and then charge you additional fees for cancellation of the contract that they have breached by not fulfilling their obligations in the contract. Horrible service .. this business is a scam, they tell you "you don't have to be home unless you want inside sprayed" the reason they say this is because they don't spray at all...this weekend I had an appt and never saw anyone trigger my cameras so I know it wasn't sprayed, called them and they confirmed he did not spray...the only time they sprayed has been when the service was initiated, and I have not seen them since... in order to cancel service they want to charge $190 cancellation fee...I do not feel as though I should pay the fee since I have never really had service but 1 time since march 2025 .. if they see no one is home they just leave and unless you have cameras you have no way of proving they were even there ... horrible horrible service I will forever recommend no one use them...they will not let me out of my contract without the $190 fee and I do not have time to micromanage if someone comes or not .. BBB COMPLAINT: Do NOT let these scammers into your home. They lied & stated my builder had stirred up a nest of brown recluse at the end of my block where new houses were still being constructed. I was shown a map indicating my neighbors, 2 doors down, had a very young daughter who'd been bitten by a brown recluse & was in the hospital. I hadn't met said neighbors yet & didn't know this was on out & out lie as they don't even have a daughter! Nor do any of the few neighbors to the East of my home. (Which is what the map I was shown, indicated. I have asked multiple times to CANCEL IMMEDIATELY, IN WRITING. EnviroGuard REFUSES to do so. They're now back -charging me for removal of a discount that was applied to the initial spray. EnviroGuard also states I signed a contract? The only thing I signed was on the phone of the girl who initially rang my doorbell, & I was told that was the release for the tech to spray. All I want to do is get rid of these people & not have to dispute a bogus balance. What's more is after finding out these scammers lied their way into my home -they didn't come back 10 days after the initial spray to kill the eggs & impede the life cycle of the spider, as I was told when agreeing to the initial spray . I was told, after inquiring as to why they hadn't come back in 10 days, that they only spray bi-monthly (initially I was told quarterly), and they do spray 30 days after the initial spray to kill eggs. Absolutely a false claim, upon agreeing to their service we were billed immediately- prior to any service being done. On the second visit from this company their own technician told us about recent cancellations they have had, and that their solution is not effective. Following that, although we had a bi monthly service agreement for the duration of seven services, I would have to call to get them to show up... Finally after concluding that this company is useless I emailed to cancel, no response- then called and told I would be forced to pay $200 even though their part of the agreement was not upheld and services were far below satisfactory. Beware their product does not work their communication style it's not respective of your situation with ongoing bugs. Is not satisfactory. you cannot reach management for weeks at a time. I've had mosquitoes and roaches all summer . they have not been able to get rid of them and they will not release you from your contract even though they are not meeting the needs to get rid of the bugs or the mosquitoes. three months is a long enough period of time to have been able to accomplish this. beware their product is not work and they are too young to appreciate your situation and do not get you advanced to management in a timely manner if at all it has been very difficult and frustrating. read more

Is a horrible company. In Sept, a young man showed up at my door offered to do a pest treatment at a discount since the service tech was in the area. I agreed, and they have been a nightmare ever since. I often work out of the house, so I'm home quite a bit. They showed up without an appointment at least four times to do a treatment that was not approved, confirmed, or necessary. I wonder if I didn't have locks on my gate if they just would have done it and then charged me. they claimed they didn't have a correct phone number for me, which was not true. I started getting a plethora of texts, saying they were going to come do a treatment which I refused, because it was not necessary or on dates or times that were convenient to me. Then the bullying started.....they threatened to send me to pre collections even though I didn't owe them any money or have a contract with them. The salesman that came to the the door originally was a really nice young man, but he also lied to me about this company being Lubbock based, it's based out of San Antonio. Please be aware that these people will say and do anything. I'm filing a complaint with the better business bureau. read more

I rarely post negative reviews. My recent experience with EnviroGuard Pest control has forced me to post a negative review. My wife scheduled a morning appointment which was supposed to be from 8-11 am. As most businesses are short staffed I gave them a grace period and did not to phone to check the technician arrival status until shortly after 12pm. The initial representative I spoke with on the phone requested I hold until she could confirmed my appointment time. She came back and said we had a 8-12 appointment. I asked her to check again. Approximately 3-5 minutes later she confirmed our appointment was in fact a morning appointment. I inquired when the technician would be out and the next thing I knew it is silence on the other end of the line. I tried to call back but I went into extended waiting period to speak with a live person. While On hold the service technician arrived. My wife spoke with him and he preceded to tell her I hung up on the representative. I told my wife that was absolutely incorrect, the representative hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with a manager as I would not hang up on anyone. The representative took my message and said someone would contact me in 24-48 hours. I asked if they were open on the weekend. She informed me they are open on the weekend but someone would contact me on Monday. Needless to say that did not happen. Hence the continuation of poor customer service and the reason for my post. As result I will call to cancel any future treatments EnviroGuard and let everyone I know what poor customer service they provide. What start out so promising has deteriorated to a truly unacceptable service. read more
