I wasn't a fan of this courier in the past, but I'm relieved to see some changes in place. I was a bit nervous, since I feel I'm responsible for the items, and other companies provide some sort of a paper receipt. I didn't need any packaging, except the bar code emailed to me. I still wrapped the items in a waterproof bag, with the order info inside, and my return address label on the outside. The staff member showed me the bar code once it was packaged up, and I took a photo. I received the refund from Amazon a few days later. The parking is congested, although you can find a spot in the surrounding plazas.

Simple, clear, and quick. However, over the last few months, this experience has drastically changed. I'm still returning packages using QR codes, but the purolator workers give me conflicting information every time (separate occasions) I'm there. One tells me I have to use the machine and select "my package is ready to ship", another tells me to select "print label", another tells me she can't help me with my return because the machine deals with it. One tells me that the machine is only for prepaid label returns and I have to line up to return my QR code returns. The cherry on top is that the front desk workers are also RUDE! They treat customers like an inconvenience while also giving them confusing, conflicting information. It sounds like they're either not being properly trained, or they can't be bothered to do their job. My experience here used to be great; no problems, no confusion, and a pleasant experience. I don't know what changed. I'm never coming back here again.

My review is for picking up a FedEx package from Zero PC…read more I originally had my package shipped to my address. I missed this delivery. I chose to have it delivered to a FexEx authorized pickup point on the same day, which ended up being at Zero PC. It's probably a good seven minutes away from my home. I drove here after work on a rainy Monday afternoon. I had no problem parking steps away from this business. It's in a plaza with a number of other businesses, from bubble tea, to a seafood business. I walked in an a friend man was working on a mid-tower computer. I had not seen one since I was a newly minted computer science graduate. I loved taking my mid-tower apart, and upgrading everything from the motherboard, to primary and secondary hard disk drives. It was nice to relive such memories. I don't miss the aggravation! I indicated that I had a FedEx package. He nodded and asked for my tracking number. I shared it with him. He then asked for my ID, so I provided my driver's licence. He was thorough checking that I was who I said I was. The last check was calling the phone number associated with my order. Sure enough, my cell phone rang and I showed it to him. I got my package. I thanked him and happily left the store with my goods. It was cool seeing a bunch of computer accessories. You can get corded and wireless mice. I heard that you now say mouses for more than one mouse for your computer or laptop, which sounds odd to me. It'll take a while to warm up to that standard. You can get practically anything here, from USB hubs, to headphones. It was nice stopping in a computer store to get my FedEx package. The man was nice and thorough, which I appreciated. (496)

I heard about Zero PC through a family friend when I inquired about having a gaming computer built for me. Although I must admit I was a little hesitant based on first impressions of both their website and very minimalist store appearance, I am extremely pleased that I did place my faith and trust in this store. The experience was extraordinary from start to finish. The store is very bare-bones, with shelves lining the walls filled with products and components. There are a couple of work tables and stations and there were two people in the store both times I visited. It isn't much to look at, but they work for function, quality, and the appearance of their products, not the fancy appearance of their store. The employee who assisted me was very well-versed in the computers they build and asked all the right questions to determine the computer that would best suit my needs. His name was Jackie, I feel it necessary to commend him on his service, as it is one I will fondly remember. He was fantastic, super understanding, patient and knowledgable. He explained the differences between the available motherboards and graphics cards, how different forms of storage function, and what hardware would work best to achieve my end goal. There are a dozen different standard builds that they offer, all of which cater to a different level of both gaming power and aesthetics. They offered to switch or upgrade individual parts based on my needs, along with a range of cases. If they don't have something you want, they will order it for you. Let me also mention that the pricing is unbelievable. When I searched for each component to build the computer I chose. To build the same rig myself: assume I would order from a slew of different online retailers to obtain the lowest prices, also assume I would be willing to wait up to a month for each part to be delivered, finally that I would somehow YouTube enough build tutorials to correctly assemble the computer, the consistent price difference between the components and the offered store price was roughly $50 for the three different builds I considered. It took 3 days for the computer to be built and I received a phone call when it was ready to be picked up. Upon arriving at the store it was explained that the basic case was unavailable, so they upgraded it for free. The case is super cool with magnetic dust collecting panels on the top and front of the case which makes it easy to clean. The one side is glass and exposes the neat cable management and the base model LED lights of the internals. I wasn't interested in LED lights but the soft red glow is definitely a bonus. They took the time to plug in and start the computer in front of me (seconds for the start time, an amazing upgrade from the 1 minute my old PC took!) and showed the specs, along with a few programs they installed themselves to make my life easier which they asked me about when I ordered the computer. All the original boxes and warranty information was also provided. I was told if there were ever any problems to contact them and they will immediately assist and fix whatever the problem is. The customer service was exceptional, the experience was simple and pleasant, and I received an amazing computer. I was so happy I chose this place and absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for a computer but don't have the knowledge, patience or time to build one themselves. Thank you Zero PC, and thank you Jackie and to the hardworking team!

I've only had this laptop for roughly 1.5 years. I have never experienced these issues before in my life. I guess the letter p stood for perturbed. The spacebar felt that spacing out was in order. I contacted IT. Sadly, my workplace in Mississauga has lost its in-person IT help centre. I did get a competent, nice tech from our Montreal office. This issue was considered an escalation in our IT world, even though I was still fine plugging in an old USB keyboard and using my laptop that way. To make a long story short, which has something to do with UPS, but not this store, I was supposed to get my laptop delivered on Monday. I was at home all day. I got a sticky note on my door saying that a delivery was attempted. i didn't hear any knock. The doorbell never rang. It was odd. I asked that my laptop be shipped to this store instead. It never happened. On Tuesday, after my dental appointment, I can home and saw the UPS driver at my door. I got my laptop. Yay! Such a weird experience with delivery. Anyway, I had to ship my defective laptop back to the Montreal office. I got a return label. I placed my laptop in the box, slapped the return label on it, and sealed the box. I then headed over to this store after my eye exam today. Yep, I cram in all my medical appointments in December. It's the season to use up my medical benefits... haha! This UPS store is in a plaza with Hollywood Cafe and my local CIBC branch. I had no problem backing into a parking spot steps away from this store and walking in. It was 10°C. The door was propped open. There were two folks in the store. A man that kept staring at me and the woman behind the counter. The latter greeted me. I said that I had an item with a return label. She scanned it. Done! She asked if I wanted a receipt either by text or e-mail. I went with the former. A few seconds later, I got it on my phone. I thanked her and walked out of the store. This store was roomy. I liked that you can get documents shredded, rent a mailbox, photocopy important documents, and have items packed and shipped. It's a nice store. It's funny that I had never noticed it until I needed to deal with my laptop issue. I'm glad that it's so close to home and was the perfect place to have my defective laptop returned to my company's IT department. (483)
