3.5 This shop…read morelocation is no longer part of this world and that's a shame. Long before bachelorettes woo-hooed their way into our ears (and nightmares) and short-term rentals displaced residents, there was a Nashville that made sense. You knew where to go for what. In Belle Meade, if you needed a card, cardigan or cart full of chocolates, Katy's Hallmark in Belle Meade was where you headed. Be it Mother's Day, Christmas, Easter, or some other mom/grandma-approved holiday, you would be sure to find me here picking up a Hallmark* card along with stocking stuffers, fancy card stock and pens, chocolates, truffles, confections, perfumes, scarves, and more. This was more than a card shop: it was a one-stop shop for every mom, aunt, grandma, teacher, in your life. If you couldn't find it here, you couldn't find it. And you could find it for a reasonable price. Despite the location, you wouldn't be beset by Belle Meade prices. I found the service ranged from extremely helpful to polite but never did i feel unwelcome. Most all the employees were nice.** This is the genteel legacy of what Nashville used to be. Parking was spacious and easy to come by and if you still had a shopping itch after you came here, you could walk the rest of the strip mall (or grab a bite to eat). I'm not much of a shopper so I was more of an 'in and out' kinda guy but I never left without gifts and usually the exact gift I came in for (if not a very close variant). Luckily, Katy's is still here -- just moved. 4500 has been lost to 'progress' and more out of town development but if you need to get your fill of goodies for the ladies in your life, hop on down to 6033 Hwy 100 and check them out there. Thanks for the memories, Katy -- and all the holiday saves. *Yes, they would check the back of the card just like the old commercials. **The patrons, however, could be another story. For example, first Christmas 'post-pandemic' (lol), no one was masked.

I ended up getting a card hit honey for a gift and jelly beans for a kids gift. This location has a little country old-fashioned style where you will definitely find your candles, aprons, little knickknacks, and gifts. When I had the opportunity to check out, Joy did not provide me a coupon initially, but when I made the second purchase, and brought it to her attention she provided. She did not bring joy but a fake kindness and hate like she had to be nice. Sad in 2024 still get the subtitle racism. Hallmark is a dying breed and when stores do things like this. It will only continue to loose its value. Good luck with your experience.

The Store That Sells Everything You Didn't Know You Wanted…read more I was wandering down what I think is called 12th Street in Nashville -- that trendy stretch where even the sidewalks feel cooler than me -- and I stumbled into White's Mercantile. This place is like if a country singer, an interior designer, and an old general store all decided to start a lifestyle brand together. It's packed with everything from candles that smell like wealth and nostalgia, to mugs that make you question your current kitchen aesthetic. There's leather, linen, and probably something made from reclaimed barn wood -- all tastefully arranged to make you wish your house looked like this. After exploring all the treasures and fighting the urge to buy things I couldn't pronounce, I did what any sensible shopper would do: I bought a book. Because clearly, I'm a minimalist at heart... just one browsing session away from becoming a home décor influencer. Final Verdict: White's Mercantile is dangerously charming -- the kind of store that makes you believe you need artisanal coasters and $40 soap.

This store was an absolute dream to shop in. They have everything! I will say they have a ton of great gift ideas for that person that is really difficult to buy for. Amazing shop to definitely check out if you're in the area.

Tucked between the Broadway Honky-tonks, Nashville Gifts may not be honky-tonking the greatest price, however, their selection is impressive. For example, their t-shirts were over $20 and Nashville caps cost around $30. But to be honest, I saw that the only Downtown Walgreens charged similar prices for Nashville caps. As far as selection, I am a fan. They provide a grand array of gifts from t-shirts to place mats. As for me, I am a magnet collector, and purchased a Nashville magnet to add to my refrigerator collection. In hindsight I would've purchased a Nashville book mark. Just like a popular honky-tonk, Nashville Gifts was extraordinarily busy in similar style to Legends Gifts across the street. I am not a fan of crowds. On our last full day in Nashville when my Dad and Brother returned to pick up more souvenirs, I waited outside on Broadway taking in the horse drawn carriages with the AT&T Tower towering above the historic streetscape. Due to solid management, the long lines moved fast with good customer service that included the clerk wrapping up my magnet. That magnet with my pictures and yelps are my reminders of visiting Music City USA.

This place has gorgeous things! As the other reviews state, it's locally owned, and the Richter sisters (who run the shop) are fabulous. They have beautiful china, jewelry, and other gift options for brides to babies. Everyone I know who has been, or is, engaged, and has a Nashville connection, registers at Corzine's. It's my first stop when shopping for a wedding gift as well. They are online now too which makes it super easy! I still like to go in the store whenever possible though. Service is impeccable, merchandise beautiful, and the whole shop is divine. I highly recommend it for gift shopping--and from the previous reviews, gift registry. Shop local!

They are absolutely wonderful and will do everything they can to make sure you are happy. I did most of my wedding registry here, as do most Nashville people I know, and love all the beautiful and unique pieces I chose. Samantha and Ashley Richter are great, as is Jill who helped my mother and I the last couple of times we visited. I live in New York City, so I have to have things shipped, which they are happy to do. Also, I don't make it into town often, and they are very flexible about exchanges. You get a year to exchange and use all your credit from the date of your wedding. Unlike other neighboring registry spots, they didn't bat an eyelash when I returned two items in May 2008 (a month before the deadline). I totally recommend them for your registry!
