A couple of years ago, I lived out of state and only occasionally was in Naples. I bought a $2000 65" Samsung Frame TV but it would never work with Xfinity and they said it was a problem with the oneConnect box. I called Epic to come out several times but they were always too busy to come out for the 2-3 weeks I was in town. Finally, they agreed to come out but when they did they said it was a Samsung warranty issue and they would get in touch with them. But they called me back and said we were one day past the deadline to file a claim!! Their delays caused this! They would not assist further even though I spent almost $10,000 on TVs and speakers. This is a classic high end audio store that requires a lot of money in order to purchase their offered equipment. I have made several smaller item purchases over the past two years with no major problems. The last purchase of a McIntosh speaker has been nothing but frustration. It has taken many days of text conversation to get me to understand how to set up the unit. Audio streaming is not my forte and they assume the customer is up to speed on this issue, I am not. Their use of text explanations rather than just a phone call or a visual picture would have solved the initial problems from the get go. Unless you're a real geek, it is not an easy process via texting info. Further, when I finally said enough and wanted to return the item, I was told store policy did not allow this on speakers or special order items. AT NO TIME DURING THE TRANSACTION WAS THIS EVER MENTIONED! Would it have made a difference in the sale? Maybe / maybe not - but it was NEVER mentioned. Overall, the Latin phrase of "buyer beware" is really needed here when purchasing a high end item. I have ended any further need to use their store as a resource for my audio equipment. read more

The Super Bowl was yesterday, and while eveybody loved the game, the most comments were about the amazing home theater system that Epic just designed and installed. The 85" Sony TV is outstanding. The GoldenEar soundbar and subwoofer blew everybody away. And the Salamander cabinet got raves. I can't say enough good things about Andrew Sargent, who helped me get the whole thing figured out. And Paul did a masterful job wIth the installation and cabling. The big box stores serve a purpose. But if you really want something special and bespoke, Epic is the place. read more

Went there to buy a Sony TV which they gave me a great deal on! At the same time I discovered that they are now carrying furniture and lights/chandeliers as well. Always thought they would only carry the usual entertainment center. Will go back to check out the new stuff they are bringing in now especially the great chandeliers. Very unique. read more

Stopped in to view and listen to various stereo equipment, most of the equipment was not connected. Ultimately we decided a few items we were interested in purchasinay. Provided all contact info and was advised call back would be provided, never heard back, our inquiry was fully with the intent of purchasing and spending a substantial amount of money. Not professional upon Epic Audios part, we will spend our money elsewhere at a business that is reliable. This experience actually is a benefit since this clearly identifies the type of customer service I might have received if I purchased equipment. Thank you read more

I'm an A/Vphile who would rather purchase from a local dealer than buy equipment over the Internet, even though I'm pretty knowledgeable. I visited this store to buy a Golden Ear surround system, a pre-pro to replace my older Simaudio unit, and perhaps a modest turntable as well. Unfortunately, the salesperson pointedly ignored me. I gave him some time to wrap up a call, but he demonstrated no interest in talking to me. After browsing the vinyl collection for over 20 minutes with no sign he was willing to attend to me, I left. I will buy the products.from Amazon and save myself some $$. And I will tell everyone I know to avoid this store like the proverbial plague. read more

I'd recommend House of high Fidelity over these guy's. After walking around the store for ten minutes checking out the audio equipment I was ignored, even after commenting on the beautiful tube amps nobody offered any assistance. Not to waste a trip, I purchased about ten albums and all were over-priced and un-graded. Icing on the cake was the let down to go home, clean them properly because they don't clean them, only to find they played poorly and were in rough shape. Some of the same LP's I chose were in the $2.00 section at HoHF and in much better condition. After a price check on discogs I found out they gouge pretty bad on used vinyl. Lesson learned, will not be back. read more

Two guys came in twice to repair/fix nothing. They were actually rude. They were not helpful when I had questions. I called the Geek Squad who were professional and now my system works perfectly. Don't waste your money on them, as we did. Call the Geek Squad -or anyone else-first! read more

We purchased an 82" TV, wall mount and sound bar from a store other than Epic, but they were willing to install anyway and gave me their price. Two installers arrived when scheduled, were pleasant, courteous and professional. Everything looks better than we thought it would and works perfectly. We couldn't have been more pleased. read more

Epic audio video doesn't live up to its name. Every time I have an issue with my systems none of the techs call back and truly shows their poor customer service skills. The owner Mike Novak acts like he's hands on and is willing to help you but acts more like a salesman that an owner of a business. I've called twice trying to get him on the phone after selling me an out of date URC system. I've gone with Magnolia to help with my AV needs. This is ridiculous!! If you've worked with Epic in the past don't consider them in the future. They should change their name to EPIC FAILURE! read more

They responded to by inquiry from internet. They came in requested time period. Cost was too high. I guess I should have checked it out up front. Two workers at $110 per hour for each one. The kicker being you pay $220 per hour for them to drive to your home. A home tv installation and they charge a high fee to get there. They tried to sell be their tv mount but they didn't know how much it cost. I didn't realize I was paying $220 an hour while they searched internet for cost and then called company and gave them model number to get price. Their mount was almost $400 so used one I got at Costco for $125. Paid for 3 hours so cost $668 to get 55" tv mounted on wall in lanai. That cost didn't include tv or mount. read more

I called Epic for an estimate to hang a 70" TV, they quoted me $300. They show up the next day with 2 guys. They have no clue what they're doing, all the while they're charging me BY THE HOUR!! In the end, it took them 6 hours to hang 2 TVs... They had the nerve to charge me $1600! This place is a joke. Take your business elsewhere!! They are scam artists! read more

I would go somewhere else. The system they sold to us had a problem with streaming that recurs. The worst part is that when the streaming issue happens, they charge to come and fix it, and the tech is not that knowledgeable. read more
