They were so disorganized that they had to schedule measurement 4 times before they got it right. 2. They signed a contract on their letterhead but then asked to be paid in a different name. This is a huge red flag. 3. The terms were 50% upon complete installation. Brand new shutters required so much force to close that I had to ask for expert help from building manager before I could leave my condo to go home. 4. They installed a floor to ceiling pillar in such a way that a bedroom slider door would not open anymore. 5. When contacted about incomplete installation, the owner demanded that I travel to the condo immediately from wherever I am to remedy so they can get their payment. 6. The owner sends a new demand citing an "increase in price" (absurd!) with no reference to the signed contract and demands payment for the "revised" price". 7. We agreed to send another part-payment provided they commit in writing to finishing the job. 8. Owner unceremoniously threatens to take legal action and filed to place a lien on the condo. So deeply regret the headache and absolutely bizarre (and highly dramatic) business transaction. Forget customer service, they treat you like they've done you such a huge favor by accepting your business. There are innumerable contractors that can do shutter repair and install services. Please don't fall into the trap that I did and save yourself from dealing with outright bizarre behavior.
