We did a wedding weekend, so my grandparents, parents, and our entire bridal party were able to stay at the venue the entire weekend which made it really special. The staff at Cherokee Dock were awesome. We were able to call or email whenever we needed something, and Kelly and all of the staff were so knowledgeable about the venue and the wedding industry. They were super kind and flexible and helped with whatever we needed. They are definitely pros in the wedding industry! All my vendors also loved working with the Cherokee Dock staff. It rained on our wedding day, but The Estate at Cherokee Dock has a built-in rain plan that made the day so much less stressful. They also have so many beautiful ceremony spots, a great catering kitchen that all of our caterers loved. The pictures came out amazing, too! There were so many great photo spots like on the swing by the Cumberland River and on the dock! This weekend was the best weekend of my life and I could not recommend having your wedding at The Estate At Cherokee Dock more. Our family and guests have not stopped talking about how amazing this wedding was, many of them told us it the best wedding they have ever been to! Cherokee Dock is an open vendor venue, so we could have the wedding planners and vendors we wanted. We bought General Entry tickets & wildflower picking tickets online a few weeks in advance. When we got to the gardens they asked for our names and directed us to park. Once inside we stopped over a the bar for a wine tasting - all of the wines are made in Tennessee on property - and bought 2 bottles for us to enjoy throughout the night. We also checked in for wildflower picking at the bar and were given glass jars to fill with flowers. The staff was very kind and helpful during that process. I also thoroughly enjoyed the free strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade that they provided guests, though some of my friends thought it was too sweet! Our one mistake was not going to pick flowers earlier in the night. We started when the sun was setting, but the area was so large that it was dark by the time we were finished. It was also the last week for wildflower picking, so there weren't as many left available as I imagine there is earlier in the month. We also ordered pasta from Pasta Gailfi, a food truck that was on site and enjoyed it at our table. If I were to do it over again, I would also bring our own food and a deck of cards or a board game for us to enjoy as well! The venue was stunning, and I imagine it acts as a beautiful wedding venue as well.

You pull up and there is ample parking right outside the farm. We were greeted by one of the Wilson's children (added that nice family feel) where we purchased admission. $10- they take cash, card and Venmo. From there you have fresh kettle corn being cooked and bagged, and a nice size area to purchase pumpkins and other goodies. You can hop on the tractor and take a ride around some of the property or they also had a little 'train' for the kids - super cute. The corn maze is straight back from the entrance - it's huge and you can get lost - take note of the aerial photo at the entrance . When you come out, if you start to head back where you came, you'll see a wildflower path up ahead, was a nice stroll up through there, and wraps you back around to another pumpkin patch. That's where the 'action' takes place... cannon and slingshot action! Here you can pay for a slingshot or cannon experience; we did both. Slingshot was fun, mini pumpkins - $1 for 2 shots and you totally get that 'pull back far far far sitting on the ground experience' - loved it! The cannon - well- I loved the power in between my hands!! That sucker shot a NICE distance. This was $2/shot or $5 for 3. Well worth it!!! We didn't carry cash on us, so after grabbing a wagon/cart up front (there a few to use - or bring your own!) we grabbed a variety of pumpkins in the field - ghost, green, orange, etc... then we ended up paying for the cannon experience when we purchased the pumpkins. Things to note: Bathrooms on site, cards accepted, pumpkin patch, kettle corn, tractor rides, cannon and slingshot, corn maze, 'train' for the kids. I spotted some fire pits, might be able to use those as well, just ask! We spoke with Lynn (Mrs. Wilson) and learned all about the farm. She and her family really put their heart into this and you can tell. This farm has been in Mr. Wilson's family since the 1800s!! Cannot say enough good things about this Farm and how kind the entire Wilson family is. Bring the family, go with friends, fly solo - whatever, just do it!
