I am so pleased with the service I received at Epic health today. Before today's visit, I was almost certain that I would find another primary care doctor. I had a persistent issue that had not been properly addressed at another location. Shannon immediately addressed my concerns and assessed the problem. She took time to educate me and make sure that I was comfortable with the information I was receiving. Her bedside manner is impeccable. Other staff were efficient and personable. I was very comfortable during my entire visit. I left feeling confident that my issue would be resolved through prescribed medication and care instructions. Epic Health has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I've ever had. First, you cannot reach the clinic directly. Everything goes through a call center, and the communication is a complete disaster. Second, I specifically scheduled my annual appointment with an MD, but at the appointment I ended up seeing an NP instead. Patients should be informed clearly ahead of time when provider changes happen. Third, the billing/EOB was absolutely shocking -- 12 pages full of diagnosis and billing codes that made it look like I'm a chronically ill patient requiring complex ongoing care. I came in for a simple annual physical and routine bloodwork. I did not raise any medical concerns or request treatment for chronic conditions. The amount of coding attached to a basic preventive visit feels excessive and very concerning. Finally, after the appointment, the system automatically scheduled a follow-up visit two months later. I canceled it twice, yet I still received calls pressuring me to reschedule. At that point, the entire experience started feeling more like a billing machine than patient care. Epic took over the office for the family doctor I've been seeing for years and destroyed the quality of service and care. It was a difficult decision but with this new management system I was forced to find a new primary care doctor. Epic health operates like scam pyramid. 1. It is very difficult to reach appointment desk - instead of previously setup direct line to a friendly help desk, you are now taken to a series of recordings and finally taken to a clueless person directing the calls. 2. It is now impossible to actually book my doctor - all appointments go to PA. 3. In the past, I was cared for by my long term Doctor Who knew me, my family and medical history. Who talked to me about my concern, and if tests were ordered, explained what they were and warned me if any of them would cost me extra, to give me an option to decline. Now PA ordered a bunch of tests and when I saw the final bill sent to my insurance, I was shocked! 4. Months after my appointment I suddenly got a call from an epic to let me know that my follow up is coming up in two days. I never scheduled a follow up. They are basically forcing these appointments on you, without you asking for one. Just to scam my insurance and make more money off of me. The worse system. Run! read more

Their phone and text system isn't great. Can't talk to a human at your Drs office. The computer automatically assigns you an appointment at a location you don't go to with a Dr you've never seen. Good luck trying to cancel it too read more

Don't waste your time here Just had the call center call to tell me that scheduled all my appointments on the days rhe doctors aren't in AGAIN. last time I got there and I was told the the appointment was bumped without being called. The staff they hire is horrendous they are rude and do not know what they are doing. You'll waste gas money or wait for hours before they remember you. Edited to add: appointment was canceled again. This time only 20 minutes before it was supposed to happen and I had just driven there. This was for tbe same appointment that had been canceled last minute by them before. Another patient was in the parking lot saying the same thing just happened to her and she was done. Epic used to be great but they are poorly run and the employees obviously are above their heads. read more

it was a nightmare. 420 appt called in at 450. the facility is awful. apparently. under construction. I only stay with this group because of Shannon. waited anotger 20 min for blood work. I walked out. this company needs reform better management! also ive been billed for things I had no idea of. what a mess. they are lucky to have Shannon. get it together! read more

tried setting up an appointment, went through the entire process of booking and giving my personal information all to get a phone call saying that I said that I wanted to reschedule which I never called or mentioned, I rescheduled anyway because the guy on the phone didn't understand what I was saying when I said I wanted to keep my appointment, all to figure out that they just canceled my appointment all together and didn't reschedule for the time we had talked about. do not go here or ask to talk to a different person on the phone! read more
