I've been dealing with back/neck/shoulder problems for a little over 10 years now. Throughout those years I have seen several physical therapists and have tried a variety of strategies to help me manage the pain I experience. I brought my now 9 month old daughter in to see Dr. Jeff for a very mild case of torticollis when she was around 7 months old. He was so reassuring, showing me exactly how much pressure he would use on her neck and explaining every step. My daughter didn't even make a peep and was completely rid of the torticollis in two visits, just like Dr. Jeff predicted! More recently, my daughter had been congested for almost a month. She spiked a fever for a few days, and at her 9 month checkup, she had a little congestion in her ears as well... Not an acute ear infection but enough to certainly make her uncomfortable. Dr. Jeff and the staff at Epic Life are fantastic. While I was pregnant with my son, I developed a pretty bad case of carpal tunnel in both wrists and hands. I had pain at first in both arms and eventually most of my fingers on both hands were numb. Six weeks after I had my son I still had no feeling in most of my fingers. I decided I wanted to try seeing a chiropractor before considering any form of surgery to clear up the problem. I called the office and Amy got me in that day. It was so great. I was evaluated, had a scan done of my back in office and my treatment started that day! About 8 weeks later I had full feeling back in my fingers after seeing Dr Jeff twice a week and doing my light exercises at home to help the strength in my wrists. Dr Jeff and Amy are amazing. From the second I contacted them they have been nothing but understanding, kind, caring and truly concerned with helping me feel my best. I will definitely be seeing Dr Jeff again through my next pregnancy and will hopefully avoid the carpal tunnel completely! Definitely give them a call -- they are wonderful! read more

If you are looking for an actual adjustment, do NOT go to Dr. Jeff (that's how his web site refers to him, as if his patients are 5-year-olds). I've had serious back problems for the many years, and I've been to many chiropractors because of it. I've found that there are two types of chiropractor: snake oil and penicillin. The snake oilers have shiny offices with cutesy sayings on the walls about finding yourself and being the best you can be. They'll dazzle you with computer scans and impressive print-outs of the "findings." When it's time to actually do something, though, they'll give you a useless little tap and pull here and there, tell you in some vague way that "things are moving better," and then send you on your way. But not until informing you it will take another 8-12 sessions for the pain to go away. If you're looking for youth (replete with designer jeans, an untucked blouse, and tennis shoes from Aldo), intense eye contact that seems pre-packaged rather than sincere (I could be wrong, in which case it's intense to the point of being weird), an affable receptionist, and decent music playing in the background, then go to Dr. Jeff. However, if you want a "penicillin" chiropractor, go to someone who makes things move in a way that you yourself couldn't duplicate with a bit of help from a friend, no computer necessary. I would have gone to 1 of 2 excellent docs I've seen over the years (Bernie Erenberger or Steven Kennedy), but they were both on vacation. I should have waited, and so should you until you can make an appointment with one of the aforementioned guys, or some other doc whose adjustments are real medicine instead of homeopathic rubbish. read more
