The Cutchogue location is frequently very busy. You can end up waiting a long time to be seen, even with an appointment, because they don't turn anyone away, ever. The people are generally friendly, and the salon itself is fairly well kept up. It's just frustrating when the wait is longer than the service itself. Some of the manicurist take their time but others are rushing. Inconsistent results! read more

I went for a manicure and a polish change on my toes today. It was the worst nail service I've had in a very long time. Both services were completed in approximately 20 minutes. She barely touched my toes other than to put on the polish and the same for my nails. She was racing as if there was a line out the door but no one was waiting. I didn't even get the typically perfunctory shoulder massage. A terrible experience. I'm going back to Sukis in Greenport. UPDATE: 2 days after the service my nails are already chipping. Came here on a visit to Long Island and had a great experience. We made an appt the day before and were taken right when we arrived (middle of the day on a Thursday). It got busier as we got our nails done but we had an excellent time. Pricing was reasonable, the guy at the front was helpful with all of my questions. I would recommend they post the pricing so it's easier to add-on as you go! My daughter and sister had gel mani/pedis and they look great. Nice and clean chairs and comfortable seating for waiting. SHOCKED !!! The manicure station was filthy with pieces of nail and skin. I made them clean it After she cut and filed my nails she put the tools back in their case and put aside for the next customer!!!! (which means she used dirty tools on me) NO CLEANING OR SANITIZING HERE. A state inspector should shut them down. Rude and condescending workers at the Cutchogue location. The woman who did my nails got angry because one of my nails got messed up and she scolded me like a child. Then the male manager makes insulting passive aggressive comments. One minute one person is working on my nails and then they switch on you. I had 5 different people work on my nails for one procedure-gel powder manicure. You're better off driving a little further west to Jamesport to be treated with respect. read more

The problem with both locations is I go and spent 65 bucks in for a higher end pedicure and people are shouting into their phones and it's just not relaxing ..wish the would make a policy no cell phones because it's just not relaxing for me. If you call ahead to make an appointment, do not expect to be seen at your scheduled time. I arrived early and it was 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment time when I finally had to leave, otherwise I would've been late for a meeting. It appears as if they wave everyone in regardless of whether they have an appointment, causing those who called ahead to have to wait. This is extremely poor practice. I thought I would try someplace new but their complete lack of regard to even acknowledge their mistake will never make me give this salon a second chance. I HIGHLY recommend Nails by Vivian, which is only a few minutes away---I've always had lovely service there and they respect their customers' appointment times. read more

I came in this past weekend for my sister's wedding and was very disappointed. I offered to pay for my sister's mani/pedi because it was her special day. She was still finishing up her pedicure-so the man said he would find out what she had done, and asked me to wait at the desk. He said that she had a $70 pedicure and $55 manicure- which seemed very pricey to me, but it was her wedding so I just paid for it. Later that day, my sister told me that she had NOT gotten the top of the line manicure that they claimed, but rather the basic pedicure + gels and that her total should have been around $75 together instead of the $125 that they charged me. I am VERY disappointed that this salon would take advantage of customers like this, and grossly overcharge for services they did not provide! Long Story Short- Make sure you double-check their math and only pay for what you actually had done! What a scam! **Also, my manicure (not gel) was chipped by that afternoon because they dilute their white nail polish and clear coats.** read more

The space was nice, and while the prices are high on the upgraded services you can still get a basic mani/pedi for $30. I had the vitamin E pedicure which involved the best foot rub I've ever had (with Lisa) and a salt scrub. Unfortunately, the guy who painted my fingernails (while nice) did it very quickly and it didn't turn out well at all. It chipped the same day. They offer a complimentary shoulder massage while your nails are drying that are amazing. Hopefully I just caught them on an off day for my nails. read more

I would not recommend this mattituck nail salon to anyone. I have gone over a dozen times and every time I go there is a wait, the staff is rude, and my manicure and pedicure last less than a week. WORST PEDICURE EVER. they have a menu of different pedicures. I selected one thinking I'd get "the works" was out of the chair in under 30 minutes. Left with bubbles in my polish and crooked filed toe nails. The icing on the cake was when she charged me more & asked to see the menu again and she then had to correct her amount. Ok so me and a girlfriend went to get my nails done, granted it was approaching 5 pm on a Sunday and their establishment closes at 6. So the lady who was doing my nails did such a rush job and it shows. For starters she cut my nails too short to begin with, i asked her for short and she cut them to whatever size she felt fit. Her filing was uneven and one of my ring finger nails looks shorter than the other and fatter in appearance. I dont think she was paying attention to the nails she was using and used two different sized nails. UNACCEPTABLE!!! I got gel polish and the polish coat does not look as appealing as it normally would when I get gel. I feel she did uneven filing, cutting and just an all around SHITTY JOB!!! I will not recommend this place to anyone unless you know the owner, he does a good job and thats about it. read more

After coming here for the first time .. I love it! Vivian did an excellent job on my shellac manicure. The space is modern & clean and they play good music. I can't wait to come back here in a few weeks for a pedi as well. Their pedi stations look great - but it was way too cold today for a pedi. While I was there the girl rushed on my nails horribly and they did not turn out good at all not once has she asked me how I want my nail shape or how short I wanted them she just start doing them. I've went in the past and havent had any issues and this is the girl who i've had in the past and what she did this time it turned out horrible she didn't let the gel dry and all the gooey stuff is on it and they don't look good it was a waste of my money do not recommend. read more
