I'm very surprised to reading the reviews , finding out so many people had such horrible experiences. Now one thing I can agree on is that the eyebrow tech was extremely rude to me and my mom. She barely opened her mouth , and when she did it was only to ask me if we spoke french. But she did an amazing job on my brows. I must give her credit. Especially me being a tourist I was kind of hesitant. But I took a high risk letting her do my brows. There was nothing special about this shop. It was very dirty and didn't have the best quality furniture. I forgot my wig home so I needed something to make my face more lady like so I had no choice. There are cuts everywhere on my cheeks, neck, and jaw line. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! 0/5 I am so disgusted in every way, and I CAN'T believe I didn't come to Yelp BEFORE I let this girl butcher my eyebrows. I should have known... when I walked in, she didn't even acknowledge me or say hello. Rude. However, their signage shows every possible eyebrow style, and a poster which depicts the proper makers for shaping a brow correctly, so I falsely assumed that they were experts. To begin the service, she just told me to go sit in the reclined chair. She came over to start, and I said, "Wait, we need to discuss this first. I have been growing out my eyebrows for 2 months just so that I can have them properly reshaped." So she walked me over to the poster and asked what I wanted. I said that I wanted the gradual thick brow. She said, "Ok, sit." I said, "I'm not sure yet that you understand what I want. Maybe I should pencil what I normally do, and show you where I want you to shape." She insisted that wasn't necessary and that she understood. Within 30 seconds I knew I was in trouble. She was removing way too much of my brow. When she was finished, my brows were about 1/3 of their original thickness (meaning she removed 2/3!) and my arches are in 2 different places. I now have super thin, asymmetric eyebrows. I paid, and was really mad. She asked "you don't like it???", and I said "No! You did the exact opposite of what I asked you to do - you did exactly what I didn't want! I've been growing my eyebrows for 2 months to make them thick, I told you that!" She opened the till and tried to throw $10 at me. I almost effing lost my mind. SHE THINKS ITS COMPLETELY OKAY TO DISOBEY THE CLIENT'S WISHES AS LONG AS SHE OFFERS THEM THEIR MONEY BACK AT THE END!!! Getting my $10 back doesn't give back my eyebrows, and nor does it replace the painful 2 months I spent growing them out. I'm mad at myself. I'm mad at her. And I'm generally unbelievably angry right now. Nothing will fix this and I'm starting over. Thank God I have Latisse (a prescription that grows eyelashes), because that will hopefully make them grow back faster (at least I'm praying it will.) read more

I stood there assuming there was a camera or something they could see me from in the back, but I waited and waited. There was no bell or sign or anything. Finally, I just left. The second time I came back to get my eyebrows done, I walked in to see the lady at the front desk talking on the phone. She made eye contact with me but didn't even acknowledge me when I walked right up in front of her. She continued to eat her almonds and talk on the phone for a few more minutes before rudely asking what I wanted. I asked her about the price and how long it would take, but it took her way too long to come up with an answer. She didn't wait for me to ask another question and she did not ask if she could help with anything else and she did not even ask if I wanted to have my eyebrows threaded - she just went back to talking on her cell phone. As she was still talking on the phone, I told her that I wanted to have my eyebrows threaded since I was already there anyways, and she just pointed to a salon chair. Seriously? The rudeness of this woman was getting out of control. To make it worse, I sat in the chair for a few minutes while she continued to speak on the phone and eat her almonds. Finally, she hung up and came over - WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS AFTER EATING HER ALMONDS - and proceeded to thread my eyebrows. She didn't even ask how I wanted it, just went ahead and started doing it. That was disgusting. After she was done, she just proceeded to walk to the register - didn't ask if I wanted oil or aloe vera or something for it. Had to ask her for it myself. By the way, there's a random bump in the shape of my eyebrows and some missed hairs, and I didn't notice these until I got home. Only pro is that she was quick about it. At the register, it seemed as if she didn't know how to use the credit card reader. It took her 2 minutes to figure out how to stick it in. Obviously, I gave her no tip. Before I even turned to leave, she was already dialing a number on her cell phone. For most of our interaction, I also feel that she either didn't understand English or just didn't want to comprehend what I was saying. How i wish i came on yelp before going to this place! But i was in a hurry and it was right next to work.. BAD IDEA They have the WORST customer service. I walked in and the girl was fixing her hair. She clearly saw me, we made eye contact and she just completely ignored me and continued doing her hair. She proceeded on fixing her hair, added a fake flower to it and spraying it for at least 5 minutes. It was just plain awkward! When she was done, she just tapped on the chair and starred at me, no hello, nothing, looking at me like "alright, lets just get this done". Am i seriously paying for this?! I am sooo pissed.... Both my eyebrows and my money are lost. 10$... My usual place costs 6$ and I only went there because I was in a hurry and I regret it soo much. Eyebrows shape destroyed and I really need to get some products to grow them back because its been 3 weeks and my eyebrows are yet to GROW BACK! I am soo pissed. Really. Third time's NOT the charm! I usually get my eyebrows threaded in the Snowdon/ndg are but when this opened up in the Eaton center, I was thrilled because it was right by my work, easy and convenient right? Think again. Despite the terrible reviews, my girlfriend and I went to get our brows done. The first time I went, the girl working there took her time and I like how they came out however, I told the woman I just wanted them cleaned up, with no change to shape. I noticed they were much thinner and the shape was changed. My eyebrows grow extremely fast so it wasn't a huge deal to me but I couldn't imagine how someone who puts effort into growing their eyebrows out would feel. It's almost like a bad haircut! My girlfriend hates her eyebrows for that exact reason. The second time I went, the same girl was rushing through my eyebrows and they came out thin, crooked and a patch of hair was missing from the top of my right eyebrow. Luckily, I have an eyebrow pencil and it wasn't THAT noticeable. The woman seemed out of it, as if she was in another world. In fact, when I went to pay her with my debit, she gave me 15$ back (she thought I had already given her a 20$). She was completely out of it and being the Good Samaritan that I am, I gave it back and paid. Third time - I know what you're thinking "why the hell would she go back?!". Well, I was rushing off to vacation, it was another girl and everywhere else was closing! Not to mention, I have a tendency of learning the hard way. It was a new girl, who seemed equally as out of it as the previous. I was direct and said, I just want them Cleaned and natural! I told her the previous woman screwed up my eyebrows and she didn't seem to understand but said "don't worry, I make them natural." 5 minutes later, everything was going fine except that one snip.... DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL!! The first couple of times that I went here all was fine (they had just opened and there were no other threading places in downtown Montreal so I was excited!). It wasn't until the last two times that I have been here that this woman with curly haired has done my eyebrows and they look terrible! She must have been doing it too hard because she left these small bleeding cuts on my brow bone. I hate that I left this woman a tip! For the last times I have went I have broken out very badly (which never happens to me in the MANY years I have had my eyebrows threaded). I would assume that they are not hygienic at all for this to happen to me. The curly haired woman has an attitude with all the customers that tell her how to do THEIR eyebrows. Never have I had such terrible results and service from an eyebrow threading place and I have been to many! If you want a place that has nice customer service, is clean and is actually cheaper than this place (they charge $10 for just doing your eyebrows- and I get my upper lip done as well so it comes up to about 14 or 16 dollars if I decide I want to leave a tip!) you need to go Clin d'oeil Mil located on Rue Guy. The address is 380 Rue Guy and they charge ten bucks (which includes tipping! Without is $7 bucks with tax included!) to do eyebrows and upper lip. For eyebrows only they charge only $4 dollars and these are the best my eyebrows have looked! The woman who did my eyebrows and upper lip was super sweet, nice and professional. They just opened and I was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows threaded that isn't this dirty, rude place! I really hope that this new place does very well to the point they are able to keep business away from Epilab (they need to learn the customer's satisfaction is first!) read more

The girl did a completely horrible job on my eyebrows! She made them extremely thin, which is the exact opposite of what I asked her to do. I look like a walking fool now with the terrible job that she did. When I noticed that she made a mistake and didn't make my eyebrow the equal size and shape, she profusely denied it and tried to fill in the eyebrow with an eyebrow pencil on the one she made a mistake on. I consulted my friend who had come with me, and from far my friend could tell that there was a clear difference between my two eyebrows. When I insisted on the girl's fixing this mistake, she insisted that the job was done perfectly and that she never makes mistakes. I pushed her to fix my eyebrows, and she reluctantly obliged. When she "fixed" my eyebrows, it was still the same thing. One eyebrow was still larger than the other and they were still both differently shaped. Honestly I just paid and left. I might as well fill in my eyebrow at home, I didn't want to listen to her babble on about how there was absolutely no mistake when there clearly was. Honestly, all they care about is finishing one person's eyebrows within the 5 minute period that has also been advertised than actually just doing a good job. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone! The employee was extremely unprofessional and was unwilling to better her skills and take any criticism. I was very polite with her but her rudeness just did not appeal to me at all. I wonder if any of them (the employees) are still students and still learning how to do eyebrows, instead of actual "professionals" like they advertise. Hopefully the owners can see all the horrible reviews this place is getting so they can change something up! I stopped by as it is right in my way home from school and I am mew to the area and right from the get go everything was way off! Prices are absolutely ridiculous, I've never paid more than 5$ for getting my eyebrows threaded so I was expecting so good service with a technician who would discuss shape and size, but instead this is what I got. I walked in to nobody even working there I sat with someone else who was waiting who informed that the technician said she would be right back. When the technician arrived I realised the person waiting was not a client but was a friend and they began to chat while I was waiting. The technician didn't say a word to me she simply nodded at me and pointed to the chair in front of her as she continued her conversation with her friend. I interrupted her conversation to tell her that I'd like eyebrow and upper lip and that I had sensitive skin and she didn't even acknowledge what I was saying. She did not do my upper lip, she went straight to the cash after having done my eyebrows and still had not said one word to me and at the cash she didn't even say how much it costs she just pointed to the sign at the front. The I got home and took a good look to realise that there were still a bunch of hairs that I would have to pluck and that she got rid of the far outside tip of one of my eyebrows so now one is shorter than the other. I wish there was a way to make sure the owners could see this so they could do something to change their ways but either way hopefully this saves someone from the awful experience! read more

The girl who did my eyebrows refused to give me a full face threading despite it being listed on the menu. She rudely told me to wait after another customer (waiting is fine, being rude about it is not) and simply beckoned me over with a wave when it was my turn. She roughly threaded my eyebrows without first asking about shaping or what I wanted the final results to be. And moreover, she whacked my hand away (you have to pull your skin tight with your hands as they thread) as a gesture to get me to move instead of simply asking me to do so. I can even look over the simplistic treatment (no aloe after the threading to calm the skin, no pre-tweezing to get the shape right), but she literally took off a whole section of my eyebrow. The arch of my right eyebrow was completely gone and replaced with a bald patch. I only came to this place because my regular threading place is in Toronto and I was too impatient to wait until I could go back to Toronto. Super convenient location, fast and good job. I've been to her 3-4 times and I love it! If you're a type of person that knows what you want instead of just allowing her to shape them for you, then you're not going to like this place. If not, then she's super sweet, very shy but sweet.
