This company is great. We had an emergency and they were at the house in Greenland within 30 minutes of my call. Chris pumped the tank and helped to diagnose a bigger problem with the leach field that we will have to deal with in the spring. Requested a riser installed for easy access to tank to avoid the lawn being dug up when pumped each year, since we have used them for pumping for 15 years now as a loyal customer. Explained this, was quoted verbally, charged upfront for the service (this came in handy for them later), service was completed, but installed several inches below ground level with no visible cover and they left. When calling to ask about this issue after the technician left, they stated I should have asked for a detailed quote upfront and had them scope/measure the depth onsite first, because the tank was at a depth where an above ground riser would have stuck 3 inches above ground. They said they "assumed it was the proper depth" when quoting me over the phone and not admitting their mistake- and even claimed they had explained this requirement upfront (which they did not). This is a clear example of taking advantage of the customer to get the job and trying to bait them into an upsell- because they tried to upsell me grading of the lawn to make the riser proper depth. Worst of all- they blamed me for their upfront quoting mistake. My only mistake was trusting them to quote/complete the service properly. Will not be doing business with them again since they charged for a service that has no value/did not accomplish what I requested. read more

I had Epping Septic Service come out to look at a pipe I had dug up by accident near my septic system. Two people spent 2 hours digging around the rest of the pipe seeing where it was connected to. I wasn't connected to anything. I was charged $1,000 for 2 people for 2 hours each! I think $250 an hour is an unacceptable rate to charge for a simple task. I did not like the service I got . They couldn't get out of there fast enough . They only pumped the water and as soon as they got to the sludge , they pulled the hose out on both my septic tank and drywell . That's the purpose of them being there . When I ask the men about why they weren't getting the sludge they told me it needs to stay so the it provides bacterial for the tank . At the very least , it should have been backflushed to loosen all the sludge before taking just the water. They took me by surprise and by the time I thought about it they drove off into the sunset . Just called to talk about the bill and spoke to Paula who was not polite or professional. I tried talking to her about what had been explained to me in the past and she got all high and mighty and was just plain rude. Not how you treat a customer of 15 years. They have lost a customer who will never use them again. Stay away! They are not up front about their pricing and when questioned you get stiff armed. Again, stay away!!! Just had our aging and failing septic field replaced by the crew at Epping & Exeter Septic. I cant say enough good about the professional fast and fair priced service. They had a completely new tank and field in place and re-seeded in just hours. They also handled all town and State permits and approvals. The crew was fantastic. Epping and Exeter was fantastic. They quickly responded to our request to replace our leaching field after newly moving in (a requirement of our VA loan due to the poor inspection). The other companies we contacted quoted $2,000-$3,000 higher than E&E and gave us a more than 6-8 week turnaround (which would have exceeded the time limit placed on us by the VA). E&E quoted much less and completed the service almost immediately. Their staff was responsive and everything was done quickly and without any disruptions to our daily lives. They charged us exactly what they quoted. They even seeded the area in our front yard they had to dig up, and grass is already starting to grow. A first class company. I have been using Epping and Exeter Septic service for years and have nothing but the highest praise for their people and services. Called customer service this week to get well pumped. Very professional and also reminded me when system was last pumped. Made appointment for Saturday morning. This morning the truck arrived promptly and the two employees were excellent. They dug up the tank cover being careful as to not destroy lawn, discussed how well looked and that there were no issues, and treated me with absolute respect. Great company! We contacted them to do an emergency septic pumping after we had a back up into our basement. E&E Septic was at our house within 30 minutes! We had called another local business first, and were told they wouldn't be out until after business hours. Also, E&E Septic's pumping fee was $110 dollars cheaper than what the other company quoted, and their emergency fee was $100 cheaper. The other company also said they may need to charge for labor. We saved a minimum of $210 dollars by going with E&E Septic and had fast, courteous, and professional service. read more

Our septic was starting to back up and I called early on Monday morning. Answering service picked up promptly, took my information and told me that a truck should be available within a couple hours. They arrived in about an hour and the two men (Chris and Brandon) were friendly, courteous, professional and skilled. They found the tank quickly and they carefully dug out the cover. They pumped the tank, managed to get out a large and troublesome mat of roots and checked to make sure that all was working well before they sealed things back up. Clean up was great and you really couldn't tell where they've been other than the green tank marker that they left behind. Great service from start to finish. We've used them in the past for our regular pumping and always been satisfied. This time we had a potential block in the system and a local roto-rooter type company wanted to charge up several hundred dollars just to dig up the cap and look at it. We called EE septic Monday morning at 6, they had people at our house by 7. They dug it up, diagnosed the issue and had it handled by the time we left for work. read more
