I had left my wine there when I went there a month ago so we went took a trip to go get our wine and the staff is always so amazing. They are so nice we laugh we took pictures so if you're ever up in the I believe Santa Rosa area go check them out. Tell them Nadia sent you the girl with the vibrantskirt tool they'll remember me, but they are amazing. It's a fun spot. Great pictures in front of the wall love wins.

We visited Guerneville for the Equality Vines Yelp event. If you're visiting Guerneville for a float on the Russian River, add Equality Vines to your itinerary. I was really happy with my tasting there. The space has plenty of indoor seating with big windows of people watching. They brought out each of their wines and explained a direct social or environmental cause that the wine is supporting. I really appreciate how specific, tangible each cause was- for example the Choice Sauvignon Blanc directly supports restoration/protection of the Russian River. To honor the historic impact of Stonewall, they have a Zinfandel! I enjoyed the tasting and learning more about each cause. This tasting room takes a lot of time to work with amazing organizations to make an impact with their wines. I highly recommend visiting and picking up a bottle to share.

Outstanding customer service and wines. We loved the stories behind every tasting. A few left us teary eyed. We were able to use the wine pass here. There is an art gallery attached that is well worth the visit.

Matthew was a very informative staff person. He explained how every wine came about and the passion behind them. My favorite was the cab franc. Must give it a try.

This place was great!!! The host is awesome! Also the wine all has cool stories behind the bottles and creations of them. The charcuterie board was really good. I enjoyed going here, and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting guerneville. The wines are also good and reasonably priced. Aesthetically the place is a vibe very different from most winery's this one is definitely hip and modern. Reminds me of a small art gallery/museum.

An excellent place! I adore the history of this beloved institution. The seasonal tastings are a delight #TravelsWithDucky always stops here when visiting the river.

What a special place. I came to Guerneville for my bachelorette and this was our favorite stop on our trip. The wine is incredible and the staff is even better. Thank you for everything you do and have done for our community. We can't wait to toast our wedding day with some GEMS bubbles.

The wine, the ambiance, the staff. The snacks! So many things to love, enjoy and buy. There was no way I was leaving and not becoming a member. Every bottle supports an organization near and dear to my heart. And one of the cofounders is THE Jim Obergefell! I did a full tasting with a focus and revisit on my favorite summer wines. I'm a "rose all day" gal who also loves my bubbles and white wines, and none of them disappointed. They collaborate with some of the best in the industry and I'm super excited for what's to come in the fall. I learned a lot about the region and felt like family by the time I left. I highly recommend this tasting room and a membership. Lastly, they have treats for dogs and are super dog friendly.

Great tastings with a great cause! I absolutely loved the back story on all the wines we got to taste and they were welcoming and accommodating. The inside is super cute and it is a great atmosphere Bought two bottles of Love Wins! Would definitely go back!

Most unique tasting room we've ever been to! Matt walked us through the background of Equality Vines and the incredible social initiatives associated with each label. And the wine itself was incredible. We're excited to return and highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Came here with my friends with a large group (13). Owner / host was very accommodating and everyone was very nice. All the wines have a wonderful story related to their origins and generally are from small business wineries or contribute to certain non-profits. Definitely a place to visit. We did the wine tasting which was very affordable at 20$. Would highly recommend as a post hike activity! We will be coming back

This tasting room was the best. We visited on our second annual December trip with a group of 6 (+ a newborn) and had an incredible time. One of the co-founders, Jim Obergefell (of Obergefell v. Hodges), was onsite signing his book, Love Wins, which was incredible. The gentleman who was waiting on us also had some incredible stories about the wines they serve at the tasting room, as well as about Guerneville in general. The history behind Equality is one for the books (and the law) - seriously! Each bottle they sale supports an organization that represents and advocates for equality. In addition, Jim's personal case made its way to the United States Supreme Court where, on June 26, 2015, that court brought marriage equality to all 50 states. His story, and the book encapsulating it, is spread throughout the tasting room (as well as the other wines represented) so you're learning as you're indulging! I can't remember the exact history behind the wine, but one was created by a woman and was entitled "Get your own damn coffee!" which is so badass!! The tasting fee is $15, but waived if you buy a bottle - which we did. The space is small but perfect for small groups. 10/10 would recommend. Come ready to learn and ready for an awesome variety in wines!

The visit was entertaining and informative. The start of the tour begins at the restored train station for a short intro and historical perspective. The tour guide moves the group to the original winery building (no longer used for production). The group watches an hour long movie on the history of Korbel starting out with the family immigrating to the USA from Bohemia, cigar making, moving from the east coast to San Francisco, moving to Guerneville, cigar box making, logging, building a railroad to the logging operation, growing crops, growing grapes and the production of sparkling wine. And the story of the only American sparkling that can call itself champagne. The tour moves thru the cellar with its original barrels built in place and other memorabilia. The tour ends with a glass of sec, a champagne only served and sold at the winery. We learned about the different grapes used as well as the dosage to determine the level of sweetness. We also learned about riddling and the Korbel's invention of an automatic riddling machine. After the tour, we moved to the tasting room where you get 3 pours for $15. There were 3 of us in our group so we tried 9 different champagnes of varying sweetness. Then on to the retail store before ending up in the deli for a noshe to fortify us for the drive back to our lodging. Staff at the winery were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We've heard a lot of stellar reviews for Iron Horse, so we were underwhelmed by our experience. To start, we checked in at the front, got a glass of sparkling to start, and was told to wait for everyone joining us to get here. We waited for a few minutes. Our host ended up forgetting us and started walking off with the other party when they finally showed up, and the guy we checked in with had to go tell him we were part of his group. I enjoyed the charcuterie box that comes with the tasting, albeit there was some moldy bits here and there. We got the harvest magnum experience ($90/person). They offer more affordable experiences as well. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with any of the wines. I did enjoy the seating experience, the charcuterie box, and the mini impromptu tour everyone was given of the production. The wine itself was underwhelming for the price and as nothing stood out to us, we finished our tasting and didn't grab anything to go. As we weren't wine club members here, the host didn't pay us much attention. Worth trying once, maybe, to see if their wines are to your liking.

Several years ago he left the winery bearing part of his name and ventured off on his own. The result of that is the Cirq Winery. Located in the Russian River Valley, Cirq much like the winery he founded before is focused on the creating of cult pinots. That most difficult of grapes to make wine from also produces some fo the worlds finest. Starting in 2011 they began offering Pinot from the Treehouse vineyard and added Bootlegger Hill to the list. The labels are fun and each offering ships with a poster size circus poster detailing the wines in that shipment. I was honored to among the first customers. The Treehouse: Sitting at 750 feet the vineyard is planted with 23, Swan, Pommard, Calera and 37 pinot varietals. I have only had the 2012 and 2013 and have the 13-15 sitting in the cellar. It was bright with nice acid, lots of fruit on the nose and had a good finish. I only had one but this would fantastic if you put a few years in the cellar. Bootlegger Hill is also above 7500 feet. Planted with Pino clones 15, 667, Pommard, 37, Calera and Elite, it has different soil than does the Treehouse. As such its grapes yield a completely different bottle. As with the Treehouse I have only drank the 2012. While the Treehouse is in your face the Bottlegger Hill is more subtle and soft on the palate. With cirtus and tobacco notes, it had a great mouthfeel and a nice long finish. The difference between the two really highlight the difference of the land or "terroir" can make. Given that its the same winemaker and the same winery is a fantastic contrast. For now, there is no place to taste and the wine is by list only. They look to open an actual traditional winery experience for peopel to visit.
