Two people in my party literally passed out from the 95 degree sun while waiting in line. My sister and her husband were turned away because the venue sold more tickets than seats. When we finally got into the venue that started 3.5 hours after the time on the tickets, we were so disappointed. We have been to several rodeos in the past, and this was not a rodeo. They played hootchee music and had kids doing vulgar dances which has nothing to do with a rodeo. We as well as almost half the people at the so called rodeo left before halftime started. We would love to get our money back, but when you complained they said no refunds. This was to be most people first rodeo. How disappointing.

Show was great - KUDOS TO THE COWBOYS/GIRLS! You all are phenomenal! The "MC" and "MC Clown" were entertaining as well. I just wish there wasn't so much downtime between riders and events. I want to come back during the daytime so I can see the full farm!…read more The parking was close to the venue which was nice, and there was ample parking so it wasn't hectic at all. The barn was great, spacious, well decorated and not run down at all. I can imagine it being a great venue for many occasions. There was another building right next to the barn, not sure what it would be called. It was also very nice. It was much bigger than the barn, but had less charm. Overall it was a great venue, and definitely a great place to think about hosting future events. If anyone is having a wedding- this would be a great place to do it!

Rhonda is a delight to work with and she…read morewas able to direct me to the perfect caterer (Rhonda at RPS catering) and tent rental company (Ron at Above all Tent Rentals). The wedding was beautiful. We had approx 120 guests (seated) using the boathouse and tent (with walls) and there was enough room for everyone and an area for a dance floor (this was actually my biggest concern when booking this venue because it appears to be on the small side). The boathouse has a new beautiful pier/dock and many of my guests were able to watch a pod of dolphins swim around (got some great pics of them) along with a super nice sunset. The only thing I would have done differently is that I would have hired golf cart drivers so that the elderly guests wouldn't have had to walk so far from the ceremony site and parking lot (no biggy, we used a car). Had no issues with neighbors, in fact some of the neighbors sat on the porch to watch the ceremony, which I thought was really cool. The neighborhood does have a curfew of 11pm, so our reception ended at 9:30pm. I was okay with this because I was actually pretty tired by then. A huge plus is that the boathouse is available at 8:00am. So we were able to begin decorating early. I couldn't have been happier with The historic Wilbur Boathouse!
