Reviewing solely as a landmark rather then the gym. It still says "pacific coast stock exchange" engraved on the outside which was where chris got a stock broker job in the movie pursuit of happiness. The building is beautiful, with large pillars and statues outside

This place is the place to be! IYKYK The vibe at this location is probably the best out of the bay area locations. I may be personally biased because this is my "home" gym but I have to say that not only does the staff just kill it here, the towels are always stocked and it doesn't get as crowded as some of the other locations. Overall, all of the personal trainers are killer but shout out to Bela for keeping me on my toes! Also to Art for walking me through the a whole onboarding process. Again, the staff here are very knowledgeable, apt, and friendly. From the moment you walk in, you're taken care of. Don't forget to stop by Earthbar for a detox smoothie

Love that they are very detailed and have amenities other gyms don't have.

Visited gyms around the area and by far this takes the cake! Had a very detailed first time visit orientation with one of the Advisors, Art R. He knew a lot and made sure I had all the information I needed. This place is probably one of the most unique and gorgeous gyms I've been to. The layout was spacious, so easy to get around, highly functional and had all the equipment I needed. The best part that made it more amazing is the amount and the variety of group classes they offered throughout the week! So many!

Key fob entry. There's a club app too!

As many of my friends know, I've struggled with recovering from surgery and complications. I've seen specialists, wellness practitioners, and done physical therapy. For about six months following my surgery, I pretty much was fatigued and my body was basically run down. Just before Thanksgiving 2018, I joined the club. The Great George F suggested I see his daughter, Kylie, a Master Trainer at Equinox Pine Street. Kylie started me out with a modest workout and nutritional plan. Over the next sixty days, rain or shine, I showed up and followed Kylie's coaching. Each week we progressed adding more challenging fitness. I go to the gym everyday, both here and in Berkeley. Today, eight pounds lighter, more muscle mass, increased energy, and a happier lifestyle. Aspire to be better.

Yesterday's first visit for the 45-minute session was very strenuous. I might not go through this again if I barely keep up. Of course, I was glad to came along with my colleagues from MoFo, and they're ready to get down. Before we start at eight in the morning, I had less than ten minutes to change my clothes in the same Joe Montana's Locker Room. Afterwards, I followed my colleagues heading up the stairs and into the exercise class where other people finished exercising. Our instructor happened to be a Chinese American, and he was easygoing to us. For this session, each of us exercised using Viprs (I wrote "Piper" in my picture). We followed different types of exercise until we do jumping jacks. Then, we took breaks during this session until we started stretching. I'm glad everyone from my left and right done good enough and my instructor was good to us. Well, I saw some of us hanging in there; but me, I almost ran out of steam before my first break. As we started the second half before some stretching techniques, I feel I couldn't challenge myself so I had to slow down after huffing and puffing. But I'm glad this session is over. Even if I had so much pain and stiffness in the back of my thighs and legs, I still had fun from the intense workout. After learning what it's like to push myself, I'm also learning everyday on how to stay motivated. And I'm sure Equinox at Pine help bring me to the next level.

This location is conveniently located in FiDi for those who work nearby. It's perfect for lunchtime or evening workout classes when I have to head back to the office afterwards. There are plenty of classes to take throughout the day. I've also never had an issue with shower lines, although I never go to super early morning classes before 7:30am. The only downsides are that barre classes are held in yoga studio without barres, and I've seen a cockroach in the locker room once. I do prefer going to the Market St location better because I think it's cleaner with better amenities and fun events in the restaurant/bar area, but I appreciate Pine St for its proximity to work.

Filled out a membership transfer form, and was still refused access to this location. Extremely terrible customer service!

The fitness sf is where the others go to socialize on the strip The Fillmore location is where you go to swim and beginners due to the lack of equipment. The soma one is def my go to since I've started lifting weights. The location is very open; the areas are labeled and separated "arms" "legs" etc and helped me navigate what areas of the gym focus on certain muscle groups for a beginning weight lifter. I like the natural sunlight lighting the gym gives off compared to the other locations. It's all an open concept and has two main areas of the gym, while the other locations are split by an upstairs (Castro) and multiple walls (Fillmore). I like the soma location way more due to being able to see the other weights easily and know what's available and not. The bathroom for the men are pretty clean and always has a worker tidying up. Staff is always friendly and telling people to have a good workout. Lockers need your own locks unlike Fillmores location that has built in ones. Fillmore locations looks like it has more newer/remodeled things in the men's bathrooms compared to Somas. But they lack the amount of equipment that Soma offers. Which is why I like somas much more, thar and fillmores entire gym is so separated by walls every couple equipments and it takes a while to know the gym to fill comfortable vs wasting time trying to find out where an equipment is, and they feel so close to one another vs the somas open building concept. But nice staff as well. Yes the soma ones can get busy and that sucks when people are on their phones or taking forever but it's the price you pay when going during certain times. I do like how they have a Dog Room: glass door inside area where you can keep your dogs there, it can keep about 3-4 medium size dogs comfortable for your hour workout, and the soma location also have a Simply SF Cafe area by the entrance for smoothies. There is a parking lot right across the street for members (just be sure to get your membership sticker tag otherwise I've heard people have got tickets/towed) WiFi: FITNESS SF Soma Password: livefitness I wish it had a sauna or pool (filmore location has that) but overall I feel I get a good muscle workout when going here compared to the other locations.

About a year ago, they had a policy of onsite lane reservations, which is the right thing to do if you don't have online lane reservations. You had a clear start and end time, could plan your workout, and actually get a full swim in. For some reason, they've stopped doing that. Now you show up with no idea if you'll even get a lane, let alone finish in time to get to work. They're also allowing three or more people per lane, which is just unrealistic. Once a third person joins, it stops being a workout and turns into traffic management. You can forget about flip turns entirely. The lane speed designations don't help either. Most people are on tight schedules and aren't going to wait around for the "right" lane to open up. They also block off a lane for personal training, which is understandable, but that lane could still accommodate another swimmer. Decisions like this chip away at what's supposed to be a core service. Most pools in the city allow reservations. You can reserve a lane. Some even have a no show fee which totally works. you can't trust humans to so the right thing here because they in most cases won't. Bottom line, the lack of reservations and overcrowding make it impossible to plan a consistent, efficient swim. It turns something that should be straightforward into a daily gamble.

I bought a 24-session package and trained with Greg twice a week for three months. Today I finished my last session. The results speak for themselves: I lost all 10 lbs I'd been stuck with, gained 1 lb of muscle, and lost 12.4 lbs of body fat--about a pound of fat per week. My body fat dropped from 26.1% to 19.3%. Greg is incredibly knowledgeable, disciplined, and has the perfect formula for motivating you. I was referred through the Four Seasons and booked spa services while in town for a week. While I paid full price and tipped accordingly, the overall quality of my services was disappointing. My facial, in particular, was not up to standard. I've had a HydraFacial before, and this experience was noticeably inconsistent. The serums that are typically left on the skin were removed, which was surprising and not in line with what the service should be. Meanwhile, my friend received a completely different (and much better) version of the same facial, including additional modalities and proper finishing--this level of inconsistency is a huge red flag. The massage was also underwhelming. The technique felt minimal and lacked intention, especially compared to my friend's experience, where she described a thorough, tension-relieving service that clearly went above and beyond. I did bring my concerns to the front desk staff before leaving, specifically about both my facial and massage. Unfortunately, the response was disappointing--they looked at each other as if unsure how to respond and offered no feedback, follow-up questions, or attempt to address the situation. At that point, I simply paid and left. (I will add that our initial encounter with the spa front desk girl who gave us a tour was exceptional and had great customer service etiquette. Sadly, she left as I was changing.) Customer service unfortunately didn't improve afterward. I inquired about Pilates Reformer sessions, and the front desk staff were less than helpful. I also followed up via email and didn't receive a response until a week later--which, again, is disappointing for a business of this caliber. Overall, between the inconsistent services, lack of accountability on-site, and delayed customer support, I left feeling that the experience did not reflect the price point or reputation. I had high hopes, but sadly, I'm not very impressed.
