Unfortunately, most of my interactions with Julia have not been what I would deem as professional, borderline harassment, and have left me feeling endangered in my own home. Originally, we used Julia when we were relocating to NJ from another state via Zillow about a rental property she had listed. After our first year, we reached out to her about purchasing our rental or another home. Our meeting with her was difficult; she had a hard time focusing due to her own personal issues and in the end, we never got to discuss our needs as she discussed her life (fiancé took off work to make the meeting work). Following that, we were only presented with one home which we asked to tour. A tour was never set up, we lost the home, and we renewed our lease. She also made us a bit uncomfortable by a comment regarding the type of car we were in the process of purchasing (political). This year, we reached out to her again regarding multiple homes, none of which were shown to us. One home we were particularly interested in, but as I tried to inquire about the bid process I was told "I don't have time to deal with you guys". At this point, we found another realtor to work with and an offer was accepted. After giving notice to our landlord, Ms Joyce personally texted me with a sarcastic comment congratulating us on the home, to which I didn't engage. She then continued to message me to which I responded to (see screenshots). At this point, she was asked to stop contacting me and go solely through our landlord; this did not occur. During our final month in the rental, Ms Joyce made it extremely difficult for us (either due to incompetence or personal grudges). A large for rent sign (expected) led to multiple people walking around the property while I was home. A lockbox was placed on our door, code showing, and then fell open leading us to believe a stranger now had access to our home. However, we were told no key was there. We were told there was a showing, but a key was never placed in the box. My fiance had to leave work early to give OUR own key to the realtor, and then was told the showing never even confirmed. Following this, we were bombarded with emails demanding we sign off all liability to agency regarding their lockbox (see contract). Per our lawyers, we declined and stated the concerns 1. lock wasn't a smart lock- in fact I was able to open it in just over a minute, my grandfather picked it in 45 seconds and my fiancé could get it open in less than 20. 2. It's a three digit style box, not secure and was placed on our front door with a big tent sign outside while we still occupied said property. 3. Our lease does not specify this lockbox requirement When we responded, her partner, Chris Tawrdy, became extremely hostile and demanded we pay for the lock (which isn't broken). Julia then responded blaming them being 'protective' of her (whatever that means) and that we can only talk to her (see screenshot). We asked for a second time to no longer contact us. At this point, she contacts our landlord asking him to talk to my partner about taking down a review they posted. After we moved out, harassment continued. we began to receive calls regarding showings (even though we were no longer the tenants), including calls at 2am asking our permission for showings. Today she sent us an obituary for her husband, continuing her passive aggressive attempts at guilting us for not using her for a purchase. At this point, I decided to take the time to also write up a review about my experiences as a warning to other potential clients. Personally, I've felt unsafe in my home as a result of her erratic behaviors and we have lost both money and valuable time. There are some amazing realtors and agencies in South Jersey, this is not one of them. What should have been a happy moment has turned into a nightmare.
