I started going to Erb Family Wellness for myself back in January. I had a lower back issue, but quickly after meeting Dr David, I realized that he has a passion for healing children and my daughter really needed help. The good the bad and the ugly. My sister Kandi referred me approximately a year ago. I love everything about this place but the shenanigans. The good: Dr. Erb made me feel pain free "temporarily" after the initial adjustment. The bad: the treatment plan price over $4K with a referral and still required to pay the full amount unless you live in the same household. The ugly: they pick and choose who gets the discount. I did not, other family member/members outside of the household did in fact receive a generous lower rate. read more

Simply the worst. Arm chair diagnostics for real health concerns. They will overcharge you and given you the 5 minute treatment while claiming you're getting great service. Normal chiropractors outside of max living and the max procedures are much kinder, less aggressive salesmen, and you get a full uninterrupted appointment instead of the popping into rooms nonsense they do here. read more

I did enjoy the few adjustments I had with Dr Shannon. Only to find out that you are only allowed 4 adjustments "until" you have attended the new patient orientation. Then on my 3rd visit this information changed to "until you sign up for a payment plan". It is here that I realized the new patient orientation is mostly a mass sales pitch. I understand business models but feel I was strung along without transparency on their side. At this point it came down to the money and not my care being refused further care. This office is also very disorganized (too many office personnel not communicating) constantly getting misinformation from the start. The last visit with Joebe (sp) the one that sealed the coffin didn't even know how many adj I had already gotten. I am still receiving phone texts weeks later. read more

Made a Yelp just to give them this review. I came in with having tried many different things for my chronic low back pain and was told by the doc that they were going to "change my life". After then charging me a few thousand dollars to do their plan, I went to all my appointments and was telling them nothing was changing and that even it felt worse at times. As I'm writing this now, I just left their office and had my low back hammered and adjusted and my low back is absolutely killing me. I told them multiple times when they adjust/ press/ hammer on my low back it hurts me and leaves me in an extra amount of pain for days to come. There is no excuse with this being ~ hurts more before it feels better. I am at the tail end of my fully scheduled plan and I feel worse now than when I started. It seems some people get benefit from this place as they are extremely busy (especially to see the main doctor it's gotta be like an hour and a half wait upon getting there at the time your appointment is actually scheduled for). So maybe your experience can be better. However from my experience, they over promise, over charge, and don't listen. read more

It is really painful to write this review, because for years I bought into the nonsense that they preach. And then I woke up and realized it was propaganda and it was more like a cult than a doctors office. So let's recap some of the negative experiences that I had over the years. For one, they make you sign up for a really expensive wellness plan. You are not allowed to pay as you to. For another, they charge you $75 for a wellness consultation that's about five minutes long and consists of a bad sales pitch for their nutritional testing ($500+). For another, the adjustments for about five minutes long. Now that I've seen other chiropractors I've realized a normal adjustment is 15 minutes to an hour. I felt massively ripped off when I realized that, as I have spent upwards of $5000 at this doctor over the years. I spent Over 10% of my annual salary there, because I thought the chiropractic care was important. Well. Over the course of the years (3) I was there, I had x-rays taken about every six months. In every set of x-rays they missed that I have bilateral pars fracture. That means that my spine is broken at my L5 S one and that all of the adjustments they were giving me over the years were actually increasing the instability in my spine. I didn't find out I had a fracture in my spine despite having seen a chiropractor for years for back pain, until I was in a car accident that made it so much worse. At least my doctor probably helped me after the car accident right? No he took x-rays and he missed the fracture again and then he referred me to another doctor, who sent me for an MRI. It was the other doctor who discovered the fracture the Erbs had missed for years. I know what you're thinking- okay that's bad but it happens! It's not that bad! Well it got worse. My little sister was also in a different car accident and saw the Erbs after it. Once she actually started seeing a different chiropractor, he was appalled at the terrible treatment she had received. Apparently the notes taken were not very good and the lack of effort the Erbs put into the case ended up hurting her chances with the insurance, company. She got a paltry settlement for lifelong injuries because the paperwork was shitty. Now here's the real kicker, you know how they claim to help you get in shape? I was in massive pain the entire time I tried their version of getting in shape. It turns out not everyone can just suddenly do Cross fit and Burpees, and it turns out high impact exercise is really bad for me, bc I have a fractured spine. So the exercises that they were recommending that I do were actually making my spine less stable! They didn't notice my spine was broken and then they prescribed exercises that made my back worse. I have a physical therapist now and I am forbidden from jumping on trampolines, jumping jacks, and running- any high impact is a no no with a fractured spine. What's really amazing is that I spent $1500 on physical therapy and I feel AMAZING. I spent $6000+ on Erb over the years without any results, and in fact far more pain than when I started. I kept being told it just takes time and I'm here now to say bullshit. That was 8 sessions of PT compared to 3x weekly chiropractic care for 3 years. YES EIGHT SESSIONS compared to literal hundreds of chiropractic sessions. I also tried their diet for years and I never really lost weight. I lost 50 pounds when I finally left them and went vegan. I bought hundreds of dollars worth of their supplements and they did nothing. Supplements that you can buy cheaper anywhere else I will add. Please don't fall for it, you will wake up one day and go wow they were so nice but I was taken advantage of. I was 22 when I started seeing them and I just liked how nice they were- wolf in sheep's clothing. Oh and they are throwing parties in the middle of a pandemic! Parties. He's a doctor and has no concern for potentially transmitting the virus to his patients. I do not wish them ill but I do wish all of their clients to get a second opinion!! It shouldn't take a car accident and a second opinion to find out you have a fractured spine from your chiropractor. I don't want anyone else young and naive and desperate for health answers to waste their money on what turned out to be snake oil. read more

5 stars aren't enough ... After a few weeks of a horrible colitis flare up (up to 36 bowel movements a day) which left me on total bedrest and caused rapid weight loss, severe anemia, dehydration, vitamin and mineral loss, sleepless nights, a very real fear of eating any food, itchy eyes, severe teeth, neck, abdominal & joint pain, I was barely able to walk, could not turn my head and was desperate for something different. My sister even moved in to help my husband care for me ... I needed help with everything: bathing, walking and getting dressed were not possible without help. I was unsatisfied with my current team of functional med dr, gastroenterologist and holistic practitioner and weary of the drug pushing and hopelessness I felt each time I went to many of their offices. When I did use prescription drugs, it made matters much worse. Supplements, rest and modified diets provided little relief. With my sister's help, I walked in to Erb Family Wellness, barely able to move my neck, in so much pain all over and terrified that I might not make it to a bathroom in time. Colitis is a really awful and embarrassing disease and one which every doctor I had previously been to deemed to be without a cure. But from the moment I walked in to EFW, I knew this would be a different experience. I was greatly encouraged that I WOULD get better. The team went out of their way to accommodate my needs- rushing me in and out whenever possible, so that I could get back home to try to rest. Their understanding of and accommodation to my needs was absolutely unlike anything I have ever experienced. I was very, very sick and they extended so much help, grace and hope to me. After the first several adjustments (which were completely custom to my needs and unlike any other chiropractic standard crack the neck, back, hips, etc), I could feel a very warm feeling all over my abdomen. Dr David said this feeling could be due to the fact that now I'm getting good nerve flow to the area- amazing. I also started experiencing longer and longer breaks between running to the bathroom. Before long, I was also able to sleep through the night and experienced relief from the terrible pains and aches that were all over my body. Right now: I am on ZERO meds/drugs. I have no pain. I have gained over 14 pounds in less than one month, where previously I could not gain weight and was extremely underweight. Bowel movements are consistently improving, and I no longer see blood. I am experiencing so much energy, joy and freedom! I am now able to sit in the waiting area like a normal, healthy patient and can drive myself to appointments. I can go for walks around my neighborhood and do the physical therapy they asked me to do, I can take care of myself without any help, shop and cook on my own, and last weekend I was even able to enjoy getting out of the house three days in a row for fun dates with my husband -- for the first time in months!! I am no longer afraid of food and no longer terrified of being too far from a bathroom! Erb Family Wellness is not a cookie cutter, one size fits all crack your neck, back, hips see ya later kind of place. My husband and I are adjusted totally different- because we are different, with different needs. I really appreciate this! They do require X-rays before any adjustments so they can make sure they are adjusting exactly what needs adjusting, and only that. Unlike many doctors I have found, they truly believe my body and YOUR body were designed to be able to be healthy and strong with the 5 essentials- mind, exercise, detox, nutrition and chiropractic. After nearly two years of no other doctor or health care practitioner being able to offer me any relief and experiencing rapidly deteriorating health, I am sure that all five elements are essential. I had most in place, but my spine was cutting off nerve flow to my colon. No other doctor thought of this. I am so grateful for Erb Family Wellness. Okay, so I am 73 years old and have never been to a Chiropractor I did not believe in them and besides, having spent (35 years of my life as a police officer, I was suspicious and very careful about allowing anyone to put their hands on me, especially in the way the Chiropractor does. I have been active all my life, high school and college athlete, Arctic Wafare tab in the military, did anything I wanted to do. Then in March I had a stroke, Surgery and recovery were going well until June when I had a heart attack and during my heart procedure I had a second stroke. 2020 was going from bad to worse. I could not walk without a walker, and then I had to drag my right leg along, my vision was blurred, I was as dizzy as a sane man can be and I had constant chest pain. My wife and daughter convinced me to see this guy name Erb. A little out of my comfort zone but let's see what you have doc. X-rays, careful review and then an explanation of what is wrong and what I need, in language a cop can understand. At first I thought the cost of care was a little pricy but then I looked at my latest bill from the hospital, and the the $78,000.00 made what Dr. Erb was charging seem like a steal. And besides, the one kept me alive, I am grateful for medical science but the other is restoring me. Thank you Dr. Erb. Time to fish or cut bait. I decided to fish. Now here I am a month later, sleeping all night, well except for that pesky 73 year old bladder, waking with no pain in my body, walking by myself, no walker needed and no longer dragging that leg. After having a horrid experience elsewhere (check my reviews) I can't believe I was so blessed to have met with such wonderful and caring Doctors! I was misdiagnosed with "Hashimoto's" elsewhere to only find out through tests and X-rays the issue was actually my neck and scoliosis! I travel a lot due to work and have a hard time going to my Drs regularly but trying hard and having them as some true unique support is essential to keep the journey going. I have not been there but after talking with a representative I've decided NOT to go. The representative called and ( todayis 2/14/18) told me that next Wednesday is there "customer appreciation day" and tried to sell me something for an "extra" $50.00. I told her I was not interested (where is the customer appreciation in this?) Then she went on to tell me that I would need to pay for the first two sessions without being adjusted and before they checked my insurance. $185.00 for x-rays. I told her they could check my insurance first as I only have a 40.00 co-pay. I also told her I just had x-rays two weeks ago and they would be glad to send them over. She didn't listen to that. Then she told me I would be out of network. I asked her how did she know that when she didn't even know who my insurance company was. After a few more questions and some very inept answers, I decided not to go here as it seems like a scam no matter how "great" the doctors are. Just beware because I don't think they accept any insurance but will charge you an awful lot out of pocket with you thinking you'll be reimbursed but won't be! read more

I have been coming to Erb Family Wellness since 2012 and feel like a new person I appreciate Patient Appreciation Days where you can bring family and friends for a minimal initial consultation to help find the root cause. I have been to chiropractors that just adjust you and it is ok for a few minutes then you are in pain. At Erb Family Wellness they first do X-rays and evaluation so to find root cause of pain before adjusting you so to not injure or incur you more pain. I appreciate treating root cause and not only symptoms - yes this is a different way of thinking to most other drs of any type of practice. My newborn received her first adjustment at only 22 hours old and has had weekly adjustments since. She is the perfect baby - sleeps well and is healthy. Now 3.5 weeks old and thriving! My mom recently here from overseas also saw Dr David and went to patient appreciation day and is going home a new person with tools on how to improve her health. My husband has been going since 2014 after attending a Community Dinner hosted by Erb Family Wellness - what Dr pays for dinner at a restaurant in order to share what they do in a non threatening environment and follows up with each attendee. I went to Dr. David for what I thought was a dislocated rib and was instead presented with an explanation for not only my "rib" pain, but also my anxiety, TMJ, and shoulder pain and other miscellaneous ailments. I thought that being a nurse meant I would feel run down for the rest of my life and quickly learned that majority of my issues were from subluxation.
