As we walked in at 8 pm on a Saturday, one employee was mopping the floor. He seemed completely annoyed that we were there so my husband asked how late they were open (they were open until 9 pm). We were not greeted and the tension as we made our selections was thick...they obviously were checked out for the night and did not want to help us. On top of that, the food was bland and contents of each sandwich were scarce. For the cost I expected better food and friendlier service. read more

Driving through Albert Lea and came through the drive-thru. We never eat here so we asked quite a few questions when ordering and he answered them PHENOMENALLY. Very patient with us, listed all menu items and even gave opinions. Haven't had nice service like this in a long time. I don't have any complaints. read more

When we visit the family farm from out of town, we usually pick up sandwiches here for everyone. No complaint about the chow. When I popped in yesterday to place my order, I noticed that five people were working there. Two were properly masked, with masks covering mouth and nose. One had the mask down below the nose, which is wrong; the nose exhales, too. The employee preparing the sandwiches, had his mask down on his chin!*!*! Huh? The last wore no mask at all. The delivery guy who came through wasn't properly masked, either. Meanwhile, each of the 6-8 other customers in the store were properly masked. Listen, I'm grateful folks are willing to work in food service jobs like these, which are challenging at the best of times. But please, guys, show some respect to your customers and do what needs to be done to protect everyone's health. read more

Decent. okay local spot. Kind of reminds me of subway, which is right across the street. Albert Lea isn't necessary known for their local or healthy dining. Needed something fast before an event I was in town for, so I stopped at the first un-chain place I saw. Anyway, enough about my situation... If your a vegetarian, like me, order the veggie sandwich - was good. But they are a little hesitant to customize it. If your down with deli meat sandwiches, this is your spot. Two stars for cute decor! Another because they employe young ins -- which means they give opportunities. :) and the fourth because they ended up letting me customize my all veggie sandwich. read more

Having never been to an Erbert & Gerbert's, I joined my colleagues for lunch at this place. Clean establishment with friendly staff. I ordered the Titan sandwich. It is a turkey pesto sandwich with sun dried tomatoes. (Also had some chips and a pop.) The sandwich was good. The sundried tomatoes were beyond dry, they were unchewable. I pulled them out of the sandwich. Overall, it is a sandwich. I've had better, I've had worse. read more

Pretty good food but don't order for delivery unless you want to wait over an hour and a half to eat. I ordered at 11:15 and it's now 12:40 with no food still. I can't write enough bad reviews about this place they're delivery times are ridiculous and that's only if they get the order correct in the first place. read more

Being a truck driver and needed delivery Albert Lea was the choice I made . I ordered a sandwich and a macaroni bowl. I was charged 25.00 and wondered why so much I just shrugged it off and thought it was do the virus. When delivered there were two sandwiches one of which I didn't order but evidently was charged for it.i called the restaurant thinking they may have delivered someone else's order. Nope I was charged for both sandwiches costing nearly eight dollars more than it should have. The person verified they delivered the correct order but didn't offer to make it right . Needless to say that will be my last time to order from this place and will warn my driver friends to be aware of how they don't mice taking advantage of travelers be they.are drivers or regular travelers. read more

I like their sandwiches and soup. However every time I'm in there the staff seems to be rubbing each other the wrong way. And they don't get along. I also called in an order to be picked up. When I went to get it I sat in the Drive-Thru for a half an hour, the worker kept coming to my window and saying they're working on your sandwich now, they're working on your sandwich now, after half an hour she comes to the window and says we are just now making some tuna now. We are about out of everything and our delivery truck just came in. I was extremely frustrated because I was late for a meeting and I should have never been lied to that they did not even have tuna salad available. Not only that I had already paid for my items. I couldn't order anything else because she just finished telling me they were out of everything. This place really does need to get their act together and work as a team and put the customers first. read more

Great sandwich. I like the fact it is different from subway. Everything was a step above subway.

We have stopped here for lunch over the past three years while in town for medical appts which is approximately three times a year. Location is convenient for us as it is not far from the clinic/hospital. The ingredients listed for each sandwich is what you receive. Example, if your sandwich choice lists lettuce then lettuce is what you will receive even if you would prefer spinach as a substitute to the lettuce etc. You do make your bread choice but that is all as far as choices go on each sandwich. You can order sandwich add on's but at a price. If you like to build your own sandwich, then this is perhaps not a place to choose and I would recommend Subway. It does remind me of an upscale Subway without the option of choosing what you want other than your bread choice. Their soups are very delicious, especially the Minnesota Wild Rice soup. If you choose to dine in the sandwiches are brought to you after you are seated at a table or booth. They do not offer an abundance of seating, but what they do have has been ample when we have been there over the noon lunch hour. Would not be a good option for a large group that wishes to dine at the location as their seating would not handle it. We have had good experiences with food, and service when we have eaten here. It's a good choice for lunch. Not necessarily a place I would make as a dinner stop, but for lunch they have good food. Atmosphere is upbeat and decor is well done. We will return here for future lunch meals. read more
