Say less... ...made my way over to the shop and walked around four or five times before approaching the nice ladies behind the fragrance bar. Told her what scents I liked and she picked out three for me. The one I bought she put in my arm and told me to walk around and sniff it for a bit and then come back. I did just that and bought the big bottle. It was worth every euro that I paid for it! Good thing is that they do have an online store and will ship to the US!! We waited in line for a few minutes outside before we could enter and I actually appreciate how the staff does this because it really ensures you have a perfect shopping experience.. I don't know the history of the building but once you step inside there are a couple of small ballroom size rooms with tables displaying different perfumes and products.. they have a separate cashier room towards the back where we tell them everything you'd like and they collect it for you there . I didn't buy too many things but the saleswoman was still very friendly and courteous. I will treasure every item I bought and would love to go back !

My daughter tried a lipgloss on her hand thinking it was a tester and they harrassed us because they said it was not a tester. It was an opened box on the display so she honestly thought it was! We tried to explain that she thought it was a tester and they made a big scene and embarrassed us until we purchased it.....for $20. Also the workers laughed at us and mocked us in Italian from behind the counter as we tried talking to a manager (after we were forced to buy something that had already been opened by someone else!!!) It was terrible experience and very upsetting to my girls to be taken advantage of as tourists and we will never again shop at Sephora!!!

Once you get in, if you want a product engraved, you now have to wait in another really long line. Mind you, there were about 6 or 7 employees just standing around. Such poor execution. However, as I walked up to the Gentleman that owns the place, he did not even look up from his phone Nonetheless, I showed the online photograph. I asked him if he had the particular scent- he just said no and look right down. I said do you carry it sometimes, he said no and looked down at his phone, I asked if he knew of any other place that carried it , "no", and looked down. He was the rudest person I have ever met. I should also add that I understand Italian perfectly and was speaking it. I don't believe it was because I was American. Don't go here, there are plenty of other herbalist shops in Florence and this is the only rude person I have ever experienced. He was so horrible that I was almost glad he didn't have this perfume because I didn't want to buy anything from him. The search continues.
